I came here after seeing one for sale locally for $40. Its so cute and practical for many content makers. Not for me but I'd like to force myself to find a use for it:) It makes me want to use it and do videos of maybe small train set towns...chipmunks in the forest...I guess product reviews which is what its designed for. Im just not sure yet how to make the rails.
2nd gen maybe has electronic speed/power control, that gives more power when there is more friction or tiny bumps, that is why it was more stable. it adjust the power to maintain speed. great little product, thanx for sharing.
Hi there. Sorry for late reply. It's quieter then the first version but you can still hear it. I don't use the audio when I use this dolly so it doesn't matter to me but yeah that's something to consider, for sure.
I have this one now and even made an unboxing video on my channel. I have a not-so-smart question, is there any way that i could modify the device so that it changes to the opposite direction automatically every set time? For example, every 5 secs, it changes to the opposite direction. The reason for this is I want to use this for my song covers, since I shoot myself, it would be impossible that i'm holding the sticks of the drums then I change the direction using the remote unless I have an assistant to do it for me. :(
Hi there. It's actually an interesting question. If you can find something that you can program to hit the button on the remote, that would work. I don't think there is any way to program the actual device, at least that's way above my understanding.
It's a neewer slider. Link is in the description. You can only use sliders with rails that are a certain distance from each other and this one works. I just removed the plate in the middle.
Thank you for video! Ordered one. Could you please write what's the width between rails? I'm trying to make DIY slider rails while dolly's being delivered. I would be really thankful.
These appear to be not available. Is there another pairing you’d suggest? I have both a Zecti manual slider and a motorized one but they are not compatible like you showed here.
Can you please let me know what sort of slider you used with the auto dolly. Looking at the Yelangu it appears that it would have to have a slider of a specific width.
It's a Neewer slider. The link is in the description. The rails have to be apart a certain distance so you can put this motorized slider on top of it and I find that the Neewer one works nicely.
i saw your video and bought one which arrived today. When i plug it in to charge it shows a red led glowing. My question is how do i know its charged fully ? Does the LED turn green or i have to manually give it a certain number of hours ?
@@Dulabicstudio > Thanks for answering. How do i get a slider track which matches the wheel span of this dolly ? Or are the tracks adjustable so you can narrow the width of the track accordingly ?
Hi there... im very grateful about your review, its awesome. I wonder if you can help me with something. Im looking for a device just like this BUT... i want to work with a sport cam, and to automatically reverse the direction when hits the end of the ride or something like that (like the end of the slider for example). Hope you understand. If you knew something like that i will really love to know about it. thank you again cheers..
Great review! Question: what manual slider did you use in conjunction with this device (5:55 of the shot)? I am interested in setup a sensing device using this kind of device and the manual slider you have here seems to be a perfect match dimensionally. Thanks in advance!
I got this cart. I noted for myself that with the rubber bands removed from the wheels, the footage is much smoother. If you look closely at the rubber band stretched over the wheel, you can see that the wheel is not perfectly round. Because of this - micro shaking on the footage.
Hi There. It depends on the program. Most of them will have some kind of a plugin. I use Premiere Pro and it has Warp Stabilization. You simply drag that onto the clip you want to stabilize and 9 out of 10 times, that's all you have to do. Sometimes you'll have to tweak some settings within the plugin.
Not 100% sure but I would say it should be OK. I've put a lot of accessories on my G85 (external mic and handle) plus the ball head in the video, which has some weight to it, and it was fine. So I would assume if you just put the camera on it with lens it should be OK but again, not 100% sure.
a very useful video, thank you. unfortunately it is not available anymore on amazon. there are a lot of complaines regarding the remote tho, they are saying it stops working in few days of use, did you experience any of these?
Thanks a lot for review! I am also thinking to buy L4. But as I am planning to use it mainly outdoors I will definitely need a slider. And I have some questions there. First one, you are using a slider from another manufacturer but not Yelangu - why? Are there any shortcomings of sliders from Yelangu? I thought that they (in contrary) should have better compatibility?
Hi There No, it was just the one I found. Not sure what the Yelangu ones are like. As long as the rails are a specific distance away, that's the main thing, I think it's 8 cm, I mention it in the video. Having that said, make sure that the slider isn't too flimsy, otherwise the L4 won't be as smooth. Also, your tripod should be pretty sturdy if you intend on mounting the slider onto it.

Hi. Where did you buy the railing? Thanks
Hi there. I got it on Amazon. The link is in the description.
Given so many example. Thanks a lot. Nice video :)
Thanks :)
SOLD!
Amazing the price point of these devices now,
I remember the first one I saw online, was way out of reach of most.
LIKED 👍
hi. question. what about the sound of the slider? coz the 1st version quite noisy.

Good review man
Thanks :)
If using on top of slider rails, what happens when it reaches the end of the rails?
You'll have to stop it manually. It won't stop by itself.
Works well but speed one is still too fast
Great video, thanks.
Can you add a monopod on the device to extend the height?
Nice, clear review. Told me everything I wanted to know. Thanks, man.
Thanks :)

Does the remote control work through walls or is it aimed IR only?
When the battery is low does it blink or something or some sign that its time to recharge ? And should we use a 5v 2a or a 5v 1a charger for this ?
What rail is that bro?
Can I use the dolly + slider on a vertical configuration?
Thanks!! Thanks!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Thanks :)
Learnt more things about the product.. Good and clear review!
Well done man, great video
Thanks :)
How much weight can it handle?
I like the dust on your desk, nice review tho 😆😆
hehe, there is never enough dust
What's the rail you used for this? I only see it in the cover photo but not the actual video.

Good review and examples of how it works. really looking for something that is ultra portable and inexpensive - this looks great !
I just bought it, after I saw your video.
Nicely explained
Thanks :)
Nice device! I misplaced my remote, there does not seem to be a way to replace it and the iPhone app does not work.
How can I attach a motor dolly to a track rail
thanks in advanced
Andoer has exactly the same dolly, from the design and its controls... And this dolly is the best in close up footage..
What type slider is that or what type can you use with this?
Thanks
I want to know to, please.
Looks well made for that price. Thanks for the review.

Thank you so much for such usefull information. It will help me a lot. Cheers from Rio!
I changed my mind on the product when I heard "it can fall off"! lol
Dodgey Dave Haha same! Not really worth risking the camera.
I attached a safety line from center of slider base to motorized slider. It hasn't fallen, but it adds comfort level.
Good review. Would just suggest filming the product. I could not see the ballhead you recommend. Thanks anyway.
very nice great!!
I'd like to buy a rail/slider that this fits onto, but can't figure out the required dimensions. Any help?
can this be used for time lapse?
No, sorry it's too fast for that.
How long will it run on a single charge? And is there a weight limit?
Can it automatically back off when it hits the wall?
No, there is no automatic feature.
Question, Do you know how to pair a new remote to this? I lost mine and got a 2nd remote but cant seem to get them to communicate.
Been looking for something like this for a while! Thanks for posting !

can this device start action from A to B position in 2-3 hours ? (A to B = 1 meter)
No, unfortunately it only has 3 speeds and slowest speed is still too fast for that.
Bravo Dulabiću, odličan video, puno dobrih informacija, svaka čast! :)
Hvala :)
Nice vid. Whats die pipe diameter on the slider that your using. And how far are they placed apart?
Do you notice any decrease in speed due to the weight of the camera?
For the cameras I use it with, which is micro 4/3 no, no decrease. You might if you use bigger dslrs with heavier lenses.
Thanks very much. It seems promising
What surface did you use this on for your outdoor shots? The motion looks incredibly smooth overall.
For the outdoor shots I put the dolly on a slider.
@@Dulabicstudio Thanks... does it sit on any slider, or does it have to be a specific one?

Why dont companies make larger versions of this?

Hi,
Nice review.
Can i move the Dolly by hand (manual) or only motorized?
Thanks :) no it's motorized only.

Hi , are u able to use the dolly in any manual slider or any specific ones?
It's always good to have a spare rubber
I noticed there is a bit of a jerky movement as it rolled.
Yeah it's not perfect. It depends on the shot but usually warp stabilizer will fix all those small things without a problem.
You also need a portable table to take with you when shooting outdoor
I would think something like a folding TV tray for circular shots and short straight line shots. And they usually have a lip, which provides safety.
Great product recommendation, thanks a lot👍🏻
great idea with the slider! thxx

Well what if you're recording people? Can't really speed it up in post because the people will look really weird!

Do you have to use a slider or can it simply roll across the floor or on a counter
Slider not necessary. Rolls on anything but the smoother the better
