I met Ernie Ladd and Animal from the Road Warriors at a sports card convention in the mid 90s when I was a kid. Ernie was huge and one of the nicest guys I've ever met.

Ernie Ladd was on of the greats in both football and wrestling. He actually attended Grambling on a basketball scholarship. Not only was he the best player on the men's basketball team, he was a pitcher/OF on the baseball team. And, as a senior, he ran a 4.5 second 40 yd dash for NFL scouts, and bench-pressed 450lbs. At 6'9" and about 300lb. Probably the best all around athlete in Grambling history. If his knees had held up, he may well have surpassed Reggie White as greatest defensive end in NFL history.
