Absolutely love the color and the matching headstock, especially paired with the maple fretboard and topped of with that silver pickguard. I can easily see why you had to get it Tomo-san, not least because of you recent episode on G.A.S. It’s just a perfect fit in relation to your old duo sonics, so happy you like it and it does indeed sound amazing acoustically!

I have said that. I also regretted it heavily. When I began to sell some of them. I saw some nice ones and I miss some of them sometimes. If I wasn’t strapped for cash so badly back then, I would definitely wouldn’t have sold them. Although actually several that I had, or Floyd rose, equip the guitars, and those things were such a pain in the butt to maintain and keep in tune because it felt like they needed a new set up every time I would put it on the rack for a few weeks.
I’m a poor man, I only have 2 a Yamaha 612 Vii and a prs Starla se, love them both

The gold is left over lacquer (I had no idea what it was) :( they do not remove all of it, apparently. I did a little researching and tried to remove it, because i did not want it on my frets. Putting a knife to a $1800 guitar is something no one should have to do. I did not want to, but of course, I did. If anyone is going to mess my stuff up, it will be and not Guitar Center. A year after finding out what it was, I only have 4 frets done lol Pretty sad they allow this.

I have a japanese stratocaster 19 84 . In the same colour so I love it very much indeed . I keep looking at a telecaster it's very hard to resist so many beautiful instruments .

Sometimes you gotta jump on a guitar you know is going to make you happy, especially if you know it's limited or scarce. That's a beautiful shade of blue, kind of a dark periwinkle, at least on my TV it is.

I assumed Fujita Sensei got sent free guitars already set up by luthiers or techs. If he just bought this on the internet and it plays so clean right out of the UPS box then that suggests thats the level of quality that ships to everyone. He literally did zero setup or intonation or fret filing...nothin. Pretty good. I mean...the hardware is good, it comes with special single coils and he didnt plug it in to let those hum..lol but the QC out off the box seems pretty top notch. Good strat.

Wow that guitar really sings unplugged. I think you might have a very good guitar. As for GAS, I think that as long as my gear purchases don’t create a problem in other areas of my life then it’s all good.

Nice guitar Tomo! I think that guitars are like artwork. If they inspire you, they worth it. Of course we have to be reasonably prudent financially, then afford the instrument.

Sweet. I bought my dream guitar a few weeks ago but didn’t know it was my dream guitar until I unboxed it. It’s a Heritage H-535 with Symore Duncan Seth Lover pickups and the low action is easy on my 60 year old hands. I still love my Strats, I have 3 of them. I too love the soft “V” I have a hardtail Strat with that great chunky no taper neck. Thanks again Tomo.

What year of your hardtail Stratocaster? I would love to own a 1978 or 1979 Fender Hardtail Stratocaster (lighter one)
@@TomoFujitaMusic I had a ‘78 when I was in high school I loved it, I’ve heard some people don’t like the 3 screw neck. Unfortunately it was stolen in ‘85. I always wanted another one, so last year Sweetwater had an exclusive run of 12 hardtails based on the American Original Series. They made it a hardtail and added custom shop fat 50s. They sound different then a tremolo Strat, but Neil Rodgers and Robert Cray like um and I believe Clapton’s brownie was a hardtail. If you raise the action they make great slide guitars.

Picked up my dream guitar last year. All original 1989 Fender Stratocaster Plus Deluxe. It's my retirement plan. Hardly play it and it gets new strings and fretboard treated every 6 months.

@@TomoFujitaMusic Thank you. Mine has Natural finish and is in excellent condition. Refuse to use a pick on this one, no scratches on the guitar and only 1 on the case.
I really do like that guitar. I saw it in an ad the other day. If there was any minor critique, I wish there was a nice inlay to tie the headstock color to the body. But that's a minor critique.

I got the Squier VI that looks exactly like that, color wise. Clearly Fender decided it was blue guitar month so they did a run of them. My VI has the blue headstock as well, from Chicago Music Exchange.

While I was in Japan last month, I found a great deal on a Miyavi Telecaster and bought it. I did not need a new guitar, but I like Miyavi from his early Dué le quartz days and the guitar has very unique features for a Telecaster along with being made in Japan along so I had to have it. Passed it up that day then took a train back the next day to get it. My number one rule is to not buy guitars with very similar specs to what I already have. However, I will probably by the Haruna Telecaster next time because it has such a beautiful finish. Japanese guitar shops are the worse place to go to if you have gear acquisition syndrome lol. That being said, great looking guitar! I really like that finish.

It’s ok Tomo. Gas will get to the best of us hahaha . It’s not really a problem for you since it’s kind of your job. I’m also a collector (not at the same level as you) but if you make good decisions with the purchase guitars can actually hold their value pretty well. Not cheap stuff like squires but even some Mexican strats from the 90s I got are still worth like 500$ some more than I paid for them originally. Also as others have mentioned that one you got does really seem to be pretty loud and “rings” unplugged

When you tune always tune up to the note never down. When you tune down and stop at the note you release the tension required for any guitar to hold tune.

I am an old guitar addict,,,cannot get rid of guitars, just buy more,,,,how do hou decide which ones to keep? And, what do you do with the ones you decide to let go?
It's so hard! If you can keep all, then do it! I am getting old so I need to decide my priory with my time so any guitars that I don't play that often. I let those go. I am trying this very hard! This way more time with my wife!

Too many guitars can stunt your growth if you already suck! Ha! I bought the LTD black Strat with The Ebony fingerboard! You can’t find one now! Mexican Fenders are not made as well as the American I can testify to that! But You can dial them in pretty good and they cost less! But the price gap is closing.
