I feel like now I can go out and not have my main cook die of starvation before I can even make it a month into the game! lol I would also like to point out that I appreciate the information on the layout and how to handle the Starship Trooper swarms there... Ive seen too many videos all talking about having massive layouts with intense mazes to keep the bugs wandering around you while you kill them off... this is simple and straight to the point... very clean and efficient! I like it! Thank you! I look forward to more videos in the future!

I'm not sure if this was a good guide, I couldn't watch it. The scrolling in and out and rapidly circling with the cursor was too stressful for me.

i have found that sticks or scrap is better for inside better then the vents
I have used them as well before. Look messy but effective. Vents are a mess right now, even after the update.
Frenzied, I have a question. With that many Freezers, ( I saw the completed base where you have like 7 to 9 freezers) why don't you build a "Cold Storage" room? Make a room out of either bricks or carbon and have one or 2 A/C's in it set to -10deg. That way the whole room is a freezer and it costs a LOT less power. I'm just curious, even though it doesn't seem like your setup is too concerned about electronics or power storage, but I like the "Cold Storage" room on my playthroughs. Great guide videos though. Keep up the content brother!
I did do the cold storage when I started. When I played on hard and above the frequency of solar flares that would disable my airs, it was unsustainable. Freezers, for me, seemed the most reliable. If cold storage works, by all means, use it. The game is about playing how you want to play. You are right, power is usually not an issue when I set it up right. Thanks for watching.

So the thing that caught my attention and got me to watch this video wasn't gone over once. How did you make those elevated turret platforms with the foundations? Seems kinda important to go over in a base defense video no?
You make an elevated platform the same way you lay a foundation. Use the middle mouse button to raise the platform to preferred height. Never put that in this video cause it was more about layout, not mechanics. Hope that helps.

hey, i got rly into your videos! Great job, but one question about this one. How are you able to give maintenance on your turrets on the high plataform?
They just pull out an invisible ladder and climb up. Has to have 2 blocks. One to place turret and one to climb up and do maintenance. Hope that helps

Where did you get the improved wind"mills"? (sorry no native english speaker xD) from? Also I noticed depending on your starting colonists you have different research break throughs, is that correct and where to get them from if you miss one e.g. printing meat?
Hi, i hope this still helps 3 months later. You get the improved wind mills and/or the 3d printer from expeditions results. They are random, so you need to be lucky if your starting breakthroughs are not rly good.
The one critic that I have on your series is that you move your mouse around very fast and constantly - makes it hard to see the details and makes me dizzy 🥴 [watch your character selection one again for yourself - you literally move in fast circles for the bulk of it]

Edited in a question: you don’t care for the big bedroom bonus ? I believe it comes in at 5x5
More space for rooms is not really needed. Just a bit overkill. Once things are moving it's not a big deal since you'll be getting bonuses elsewhere. Keeping rooms at 3×4 gives good bonus and doesn't require more space at the beginning.

Thank you so freaking much for these videos. I had no idea why the bugs kept attacking my undefended walls after trying to make my defense like other players I saw then you pointed out right away that they are after your people and will go where they are. I was using fortified wood walls at the time and figured bugs can't see over walls but I guess they are psychic and went right for my farmers near the wall. After making me aware of that I also copied your defense strategy and not one problem since. Would love to see your setup for the new jungle expansion. I discovered that the water is within 12-15 wood floors deep and you can build over a lot of the water making defense a breeze. Takes a lot of resources though and the floor process can be glitchy at times but well worth the end result. If you or anyone else know how to post PS5 videos to youtube let me know and I can link a short video of the base.
