The ABC used to have a weekly Radio National program called the Showman and I had the pleasure of interviewing John Farnham on a number of occasions. He was such an unpretentious and natural person. A great singer and a lovely tribute by Celine Dion. Such an outstanding moment in entertainment having them sing together.
Just read John was treated for mouth cancer and had surgery. As of 2023 was cancer free. He was an ex smoker. It amazes me that performers that rely on their voices will smoke! I just watched the Celine documentary. She brought me here! This song is giving me goosebumps!!

I looked because of Johnny and regardless of his age or with whom he sings he is always the star. That being said though I love Celine because she is without question an amazing artist but just knowing Johnny will be on that stage raises your excitement.. loved it thankyou.

Actually that's not true. Over the years if you've seen him live he has mixed his songs up quite a bit and some different versions of them !
