Dude I love your energy and you speak so well. Great tutorial - You really are encouraging and you clearly know your stuff without coming off cocky. I'll be trying this within the next month or so. Cheers dude

hi there, thankyou so much for the helpful video. how warm would you say your quilt is, at what temperatures does it start getting too cold? Thanks

Absolutely! Simplest answer is to follow temperature ratings on insulation layers. That will get you within a couple degrees of what to expect. A lot of factors go into relative temperature while sleeping (e.g., whether you are a warm or cold sleeper, insulation rating of sleeping pad, what you eat / drink or don't prior to sleeping, length of time between eating and sleeping, what insulation layers are worn under quilt, adaptation, and list goes on). This means not only do people feel completely different using the same product, but also that the same quilt in same temperatures can feel different to same person on different nights. Apologies it's not a precise answer. This quilt is very warm to me. Hope you enjoy your time out there under the stars! 🏕️🌌

Awesome video, will be coming back for reference later! 😁 We'll be trying to make our own as well in the coming weeks but with the 6oz apex. What is the packed size of your quilt?

Happy you find it useful! Pack size will depend on a few things, mainly packing method and the dimensions of your custom quilt. With compression or packing around the interior shell, one could argue it might as well disappear. Compression can shorten quilt loft life though and wouldn't recommend packing it around interior shell as a strategy if doing a an extended thruhike. Loosely packed-e.g., basic two folds and roll, no sack of any kind to protect it and without any compression whatsoever-would approximate about 14" height x 7" diameter. Giving a range here. Hope you enjoy and best of luck!
