I live on SS disability and can't find anything I can afford. Living with my elderly parents. Been trying to get a small house built using the USDA Direct 502 loan for rural areas for 7 years and no luck yet. Finally found a HUD-qualified builder who says he can get it done for me so we will see. All I qualify for is $135K but he says that is doable with land, septic, etc. I am in Texas. But if push comes to shove, I could do a Prius with it's climate control here. That would be essential in the hot Texas weather. That is why I am soaking up all these videos of people living in them.

Great video! I have experimented with mattresses too. I am currently using the trifold 4". I like it but it's cumbersome. I'm considering moving from an SUV to a Prius mainly for climate control and gas mileage. Do the back seats lay fairly flat? I have seen other Prius videos where people are removing the back seats and replacing it with a platform. I'm just wondering if that's necessary. Thank you for all you do in the education that you are providing.

I know that moving from an SUV to a Prius is a change in space, but I think the climate control and gas mileage is worth it. In response to your question, I will tell you that the back seat does not lay completely flat, but it gets close. I found a way to modify my car to create an extended and flat bed area, without having to build a platform. Check out my very first video, which is called "Building a Bed in My Prius", so see my simple solution. You can find a playlist of all of my videos in the description section. Hopefully that will provide you with some valuable insights.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video, and let me know if you have any additional questions or want me to cover any specific topics in my videos. Good luck!
