I always thumbs up the video immediately when I see Canty, I love the way he annotates games, always clear, concise and entertaining too!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Haha
Every time he asks "what would yo do here?" my answer is always "definitely the wrong thing."
🤣🤣🤣
My answer is always "resign."
My answer is always "resign."
Nah I guessed one move right which Leela also played
🤣😂🤣
Stockfish: yay, free pawn!
Lc0: omae wa mou shindeiru
The thumbnail: exists
Me, a perfectionist: Hey that's a cobra not a boa constrictor!! One of the best chess players, one of the worst biologists..
Was about to say the same
Oof I stole this comment ._.
I found that embarassing
Ever take into consideration that he probably doesn't edit the videos and only analyses and comments on the game🌝
Ok
When analyzing these games could you please make clear the starting position the computers where given?
Why does adding please make your request more rude sounding
@@wsemenske Please in the middle of a sentence makes a request stronger and may sometimes convey a slight impatience, kind of like if it it is the second time you are asking. So you picking up on the "rudeness" probably means you are good at English (or just a native speaker).
@@AA-kd5pg Saying "please" is just being polite.
?
@@wsemenske xD
69 moves. Nice.
i love this guys commentary😂.
“Leela says take it. I dare you. Stockfish says okay! “
James canty is the most entertaining person on this channel
I hope Karpov is watching...How his Style is Devastating even the best engines...
Title: Boa constrictor
Thumbnail: Puts a King cobra around a robot.
Silence for people who cannot differentiate between boa constrictor and cobra
James: This game went 69 moves.
Me: Nice!
You know, thats a cobra on the thumbnail. It doesnt even kill by constriction but by poison.
Man it’s cool to watch the overlords at work
I really enjoy the way you explain the game. Great job!
Thank you for this incredible game. You one of the best chess analyzers for us class level players I've seen. Great commentary!
What hardware and time control was stockfish playing under? And was this stockfish 14 (or a newer developmental version)?
NEED MORE CANTY CONTENT!!! Yeahhhhh!!! What a cool video, so many unique and novel ideas that I'll probably never get to play... BUT!... BUT! I got to re-enact moves from a Stockfish 1-0 Lc0 match; sacrificing minor pieces kingside to launch a proper attack Queenside with Queen/Bishop/Knight outpost and shifting rooks/pawn support. It's the best game I've played, and most of the moves were from a computer! Whoa!
If computers were humans these would be like game of the centuries every other week.
You just have have to smile when he starts the video
engine's trolling is the last frontier of A.I.
Imagine if they loaded stockfish and leela on two supercomputers and let them play without book.
What
It's stupid that they never say when the forced moves end. When did the engines start making their own moves?
Hey Canty Some feedback about this could you do more like agamator and have a eval bar? also one other thing I would like to see is when games are from TCEC usally a opening book of so many moves are predetermined when you let us know when the engines are on there own and start playing by themselves? as well as when a new position is reached? thanks :)
i know its not relevant but thats a cobra not a boa in the thumbnail...
Bring stockfish to analyze this..😅
„Leela squeezes stockfish like a boa constrictor“ thumbnail showing Lc0 getting constricted by a Cobra?XD
The "ch" in Fianchetto is pronounced with a hard "ck" sound! Fiancketto! Stay awesome Canty! ;)
Nah
it can be pronounced both ways it's fine
Is an Italian word and should be pronounced with the hard sound, correct. The point is the like other words, mainly in music composition for example, have become universally used across the globe and transformed in their pronunciation by anglophone countries. It's a blurred line. An example is the word "Bravo" with which around the globe people are acclaimed after a performance. Bravo is a third person singular masculine pronoun so it should be used only for a singular male performer, instead is used for women, or multiple people
indifferently.
First time watching Mr. Canty. Great presentation. Think I'll get to know him. Subscribed.

Clash of brutal powers
1:18 👌
Ohh myy godd stockfish got humiliated
Excellent analysis. Did not know you.
Canty is an excellent commentator😇🙏🏻🙏🏻
Leela owns Stockfish… period
I enjoy your commentary!
When played? Time control? Hardware?
If white had left the pawn on a3 and played Qe1 rather than a4 (around move 31), is black actually better?
Good to see Stockfish lose. That's the way to do it; slow, methodical, block, block, and squeeze
That's a cobra I think
oh men thanks to you i am constricted gasping for air
But that's a Cobra, not a Boa Constrictor. 🤔
I subscribed so fast, I was wondering how come I can’t subscribe. Oh! I already subscribed.
Black beat D4 opening with such huge advantage
I doubt it always happens at real human play if both player almost equal strength
Greatly explained!!
A pretty nice amount of moves
Why is there no link to the match? I wanna see the notation to analyse it without going through the video move by move..
Best content in this channel
Thumbnail photo is not boa, its a cobra
That’s not a boa in the thumbnail. But I guess I understand it wouldn’t have been that easy to edit it with an actual boa. Or even an anaconda.
Canty is awesome!!!
Love this guy. PGN someone ?
Wow, so Leela chess can beat stockfish. Interesting!!
Yeah! I thought stockfish is the strongest engine
I thought stockfish takes Inspiration from Lord shiva and dress like him 😂😅
Guys who is this guy? James canty always has cool sunglasses on!
I don’t believe you said when the game was played and under what conditions?
69 moves ? Nice.
lc0 plays like alpha0.. closing position and keep the pressure.
I would love to see a narcissist stockfish analysing it's humiliation at the hands of Leela or alphazero😂😂
It would be a good revenge to us humans
Love canty
That’s not a boa constrictor.
Shree nivasan aanand
Good video!
Phenomenal!!
Your script says boa constricrer but it is king cobra. Please correct it.
14:32 Doesn't Rb1 work instead of reatreating with Qe6?
hi :) very good active position for blacks ! e6 is strong !
на 6.06 почему Стокфиш сыграл Qh4 вместо e2-e4 + f2-f3 и Слон в ловушке?
Boa? Thumbnail not a Boa.
Game 29 watched ❤
The amazing thing about these engines is not in the long drawn out ending. The game was lost early on once white lost the ability to create counterplay. It's the succession of simple, yet highly accurate moves that slowly lead to the most efficient mate strategy. Yes, the "suffocation" idea is an awesome concept, but a better lesson for a human to understand is to take time and make small, subtle, meaningful moves without giving away anything.
Upto which move were the moves predetermined?
@@Corteum Ty
Nice title. 😏
69 moves 😂
Nice. Perfectly balanced😀
Too fast to be followed by most humans, but still very cool. Thank you.
Stock fish loosing. It is surprising.
Finally, a BLACK win in computer chess!
Leela best girl
link game
James I want pgn please
guys that's not boa constrictor lmao
1995
Why not annotate one of your games Canti. It should be instructive on the human point of view
❤❤
Anyone thinks he looks like swoozie or is it just me?
those computer games analyses are always kinda funny. you can't really analyse the game, because what are you gonna analyse it with? your own mind? good luck. another engine? they're all weaker than the winning one.
it's obviously not pointless to watch such games and you did it well by pointing out how initiative is more important than material. it just seems like more of a story rather than an analysis.
I enjoyed it a lot
