And the reason why they sometimes drop the broke music disc is because probably when the skeleton shoots a creeper and it might have penetrated through the creeper and broke the music disc. So the music disc 11 was supposed to play a music but the skeleton damaged or and revealed that the creeper was recording a player exploring a cave.

the fact that eleven is blown up might be because it was closest to the tnt, thus why it has a creeper face. it might have been the main disc with the other ones being distractions
The real story is that they were accidentally created when Mojang was creating pigs, but they kept creepers in the game.

If Creepers reproduce AND keep there explosive abilities, than it would be something hard to engineer. I think that creepers are natural mobs that used to have gunpower, I belive that they first came from oasis (which are small lakes in deserts) or a lush cave in the desert. Where some sort of pig-like mobs lived until they were being hunted. They evolved into creepers when the moss around the corrupted them to defend themselves. Clearly that didnt work since we find tnt and gunpowder in desert temples
This is an ancient Builders were talking about they have done far more crazy stuff like opening a portal to a different dimension and creating boots that frees the souls in the never I don't think it's that hard to believe that they are able to create something like that

Theory why the creepers attack the wither: when the builders made the creepers a while after they made the more powerful wither, as you can see each wither has very similar facile features, the creepers got soooo mad that they tried to kill players “ their creator” and the wither” their enemy that made them useless
I think the creeper was born in the Jungle Temple as Notch once twitted that the creeper was made out of leaves. The Jungle Temple and The Desert "Pyramid" were different civilisations that were enemies. The Desert Temple might have been made for pharaohs who were killed by the Creepers. So they made ocelots and hid them in jungles. The cats were a pet version of an ocealot and soon a unique mob.
Edit - The Skeletons are the first ancient builders (thus more de-composed).
Theory: Herobrine Is a surviving ancient builder. Players who claim to have saw him say whenever they look away, Herobrine vanishes. This could ad to the theory the ancient builders are watching the players. Now I know that Herobrine isn't a part of vanilla Minecraft, but still, It would be a good way to canonically ad the age old hoax of Herobrine to Minecraft
The Creepers are covered in Pete moss so to spread their spores so to grow more and also dont have to make more if it can spread its spore to grow more.

Here is my theory of the disc that comes out!
Maybe when the skeleton shoots the creeper the skeleton hits some switch that ejects the disc.
Plus u forgot that in the early stages of MCPE creeper would hit but if u killed them they blew up (I think that is what happened)

I have a theory, witches experimented on pigs, which changed its structure but a cat killed on of the first creepers upon its summon then it was in the ground multiplied and therefore are afraid of da kitties as cats are commonly found in swamp huts
theory: the wither is also related to the desert temples.
proof: the chisled red sandstone block has the wither on it
more proof: the pattern on the floor in desert temples look like a nether star
While I don't know what creepers would be considered as, they definitely aren't undead: the sun doesn't affect them and healing splash potions don't harm them, just like spiders but without the ability to climb up walls and with half as many legs and eyes.
You can hear only music from the discs because you put them in the jukebox.The ancient builders also added music to the discs.
Maybe there was war between The Ancient Builders and they used creepers to attack each other and that's why the creeper attacks the Player

I feel like the creepers were made for war as the moss is for camo and the tnt as the weapon and the music disc is made for controlling them and the snow golem was made by the enemy to counter the creepers
I have another theory
Creepers vision is green so he can't see clearly it was intended to use in a war at a person but because of bad vision it thinks you are one of those bad people
I think that creepers where made by the ancient builders but then deactivated over time.
Then when a creeper sees a player it goes towards it to recieve orders. The reason why the creeper drops a music disc is that they would also be a message courier to the players.The reason why they detonate is because they have deveoped a malfunction after their long deactivity that causes their self destruct system to activate. I think that the creepers conduct electricity because they need to recharge.but when they get hit by lightning they get overcharged which also explains the mob heads
Idea: disc 11 is the cursed one because it is broken, i think that broken part of the CD that has memory and the program the music to hide file, if its broken the player will hear the REAL file

This is my guess, Creepers run from cats because they like cats and don’t choose to explode, and when they go up the player, they are asking for help, as they are infected with the moss

Story telling, old ruins just indicate that old civilization used to worship the creeper (which was already there) and the tnt is a form of worship of the creeper.
When notch wanted to create the pig, he failed and it turned out to be a creeper aka the most iconic mob in video-game history. It's a fail which resulted to a new mob. Failure means also success.
