Cool video! Do the police ever say anything? I’m looking at getting the ultra bee to commute to work, I have about a 12 mile commute, and half of it can be on mountain trails instead of sitting in traffic!
Thanks! I haven’t had the police say anything to me yet. One followed me yesterday for a sec and did nothing. I want the ultra bee! And that’s lucky commuting on mountain bike trails
you don't get nervous riding in the street? you ride like it has a plate...i have a Similar E-dirt bike and i would be paranoid riding in the street like you do going back and forth to where ever...have you ever been stopped by law enforcement?
This was made in early 2023. When the hype was still climbing. So cops were still behind the curve. No I don’t have a plate. I have my motos license though. Nowadays I’m definitely cautious about bringing it anywhere I did in this video. I haven’t had a single cop mess with me surprisingly. But I also don’t ride crazy on the main roads. Doing wheelies etc. Only on my backroads. I really want an ultra bee or something so I can plate.
Good video, man. I really want one of these, but I am kind of worried about the legal side of things. They are technically classified as a motorcycle, so I would need to get my motorcycle license, register it, and insure it, correct? Have you had any issues with cops at all? They can charge you with driving without a license on these, right?
Thanks dude! I’d def recommend one of these or something like an ultra bee. These are sold for off-road use, technically so they don’t have a vin number only serials. so they technically can’t be registered. However, you can register them through websites like dirtlegal.com but that’s a wacky process. In Florida it’s not required to have insurance on motorcycles. I’d also suggest getting your motorcycles endorsement if you plan on riding on the road at all. That will cover your butt somewhat in the case of getting pulled over. I haven’t had any trouble with cops yet and I have a group of friends around me that also have surrons and ultra bees and they have not experienced any problems either.
I live in Vancouver BC I’m trying to use this for my daily commute to home and work, I’m just curious if I get pedals installed and ride respectfully and civilized would I get in trouble or I don’t even need my license??? Any info would help thanks
I dont know about Vancouver. I’m in the US so I’d look into your areas laws prior to purchase. Putting a pedal kit on these doesn’t usually deter police or people like you’d think. Also these are sold for off road use technically so no you don’t need a license just to ride it. When you go on the road that’s another story. It would need to be street legal or rode it respectfully and risk being stopped by police. I have my motos license also

This is an older vid but to answer your question, cops haven’t messed with me or the people I know near me that also ride around town.
