Many thanks! I have a tiny amount of time to nail down a hammock number, and of course I have silks and not a hammock at home, so this is a huge help!!!
Thank you for sharing this, your demonstrations are always so nice & clear. By anychance do you know a safe way to rig a bag of glitter or confetti to fall from the top of the fabric? I've seen it done in performances, but can't seem to find any editorials on it..
Thank you so much for posting this. I do have a question though. If I'm using the non stretch fabric and I'm not able to pull the fabric throught he rescue 8 the second time (as in the video) will this affect the security or safety of the rig at all? Thanks in advance.
Hi, i have a question. After the rescue-8, would i use a karabiner and then a swivel and then another karabiner in order to have a spinning hammock? I want to be able to spin in the hammock. Many thanks in advance! :-)
hi. I'm confused because with the rope you are looping it back through an extra time before hooking around the top of the rescue 8... with the fabric you are not looping it through again before it hooks over the top of the rescue 8. If you tried to loop it though an extra time, it would be impossible to get the fabric through. Which is the correct way to rig it? Thank you.
Sierra Kinsora either way is correct. The rope example shows how to rig with thinner, stretchier silks. But if you cannot rig that way then the shown method with the silk is okay too.
Yes, quite safe. :-) It is a great way to re-rig fabric if you need a quick change out. But if you are setting up your fabric as a long term hammock, we recommend using hammock rings instead of the Aerial-8. It just makes it nicer long term. :-)
SO CLEAR THANK YOU!! I have looked all over to figure out how to do this and this video was so clear on how to do so!!
Thank you! I have searched all over TH-cam for this specific video!

Absolutely correct, rig like that and you'll have a spinning hammock! Visit aerialessentials for more rigging suggestions and videos.
