18:43 Modelleisenbahn! The AHM crossing is actually an Italian Railway crossing made by Lima and was in a lot of Lima starter sets in a few variations.

Nice haul! I'm a sucker for those 'billboard' box cars..in particular the 'beer' cars. I didn't see the SD24 loco referenced by another viewer in the video..I have one: an IHC model of SD24 loco in 'presidential'/POTUS' scheme it's a nice looking piece I have some other 'US bicentennial' rolling stock that makes up my 'patriotic' train set.

That is an amazing haul! I wish I still had my trains. I have no idea where they went (I left them at my parents' house when I moved out and they "disappeared." They say they didn't do anything with them. Anyway, I remember having a Silver Streak train, a small "steam" locomotive, and a few other locos with all kinds of track and cars. Man, I wish I still had that to pass down to my kids!

Those noseles units are so ironic because those were used by the seabord in the 60s to try and fit the entire crew into the locomotive and try to replace the caboose. And Bachman pairs a caboose with it. but that is the story on the locomotive if I am correct.

15:33 I believe those were Tycos ALCO C630 high hoods, many variations were made by them . Some examples were the ICG, Spirit of 76, Chessie System, and Golden Eagle. I always wanted to own one of those due to how unique and unusual they look.

You are absolutely correct, I completely butchered that by calling it an RS-11 hahaha

that sure was a lot of goodies. Best is the last engine, that sd24. But i think it is one of Atlas many diesels of the 1980s. Good engines, good runners. I think they were made in Austria by Roco.
Good luck with your finds !

The only worthwhile new bright sets were the 18V AC? Electric sets with the "modern" 2-6-2 and the 4-4-0, and the Christmas and RC sets. I hated new bright, after they got rid of the Mechanical Chugger, bell and air whistle, the gear trains were much better back in that era and they sold a large talking station, which was closer to O scale, and is actually a nice piece to get! operating crossing and several track expander packs and pieces of rolling stock.

I liked model power better than bachmann, the only bad loco they sold IMO was the German 2-6-0 in US paint schemes because it was an old playart model in which they did not improve the fragile gear setup. I did like the little German 0-4-0 which is a Fleischmann clone, that little engine has a brass gear and a huge can motor and is built like a tank, they also sometimes sold a Mehano made German 0-4-0 than wasn't bad either.
