Shikamaru vs Temari. Both knowing what their opponent is capable of, getting creative in order to win. No asspulls. No one-upping each other with random boost. No traumatic flashbacks needed to keep them going. Peak fight right there.
Temari Literally just stood around for hours only occasionally making a move That fight to me never made sense because if she gets rapidly attacked she would win but instead she just doesn't she occasionally throws out one attack it hails so she just stops attacking for another 4 hours also I like the idea that the fight lasted hours and Sasuke skill only just barely shows up in time like kinda makes his teacher looking competent also gotta love the public display of favorism in the leader of the village letting him and only him get a special delay because he's special Which will in no way Cause other to become better and jealous because nothing says leadership like blatant favoritism
Honestly, one of the best arcs for me. There is probably a lot of nostalgia tied to thisbopinion, but Orochimaru is one of the villains who always does something interesting when he is on the screen. The atmosphere his presence creates is just something else.
Tenten vs Temari isn't that bad (in the manga) because it sets up Temari's power without showing anything, which builds her up towards her actually important fights with Shikamaru. Whereas Choji's fight builds the sound guy towards nothing and makes a joke out of Choji, who was already a joke since his only characterization up to this point was being FAT and UGLY
To me it always felt like after Lee vs gaara it’s like they ran out of gas and were like “we aren’t even gonna try to make this a good fight cuz there’s no point. Nothing will come close to gaara vs Lee.”
I'd put Choji last to be honest. Temari vs Tenten is a nice fight to me in the anime. Also Temari countering Lee attack like it was nothing, was great!
Naruto really needed to have such a action packed arc with a massive twist. It was constant action build up from the genin to top tiers Hiruzen and Orochimaru fighting each other

Obviously hinatas dad pulled strings to impede his training because he didn't want a branch family member to be considered stronger than the main family, did he need an instructor in taijutsu no instead hinatas father had him put under guys tutilage to train lee so that he might train someone who could end up stronger than him and make him look weak, he should of trained under the hokage personally beeing considered the prodigy of Narutos generation and mastering the gentle fist before even becoming a chunin, or someone like kurenai who would focus on developing his other ninja skill and maybe advance his technique with genjustu or asuma so he could develope better chalkra natures to develop but the hyuga family is petty

I think Shikamaru's throwing of the shuriken is absolutely a 200 IQ move because the person under the shadow possession jutsu is more relaxed and doesn't stiffen their body, allowing Shikamaru to smoothly execute his trick.
Sakura vs Ino wasn't really about Sasuke - it was those two coming to an accord and beginning to repair the relationship they broke long ago. Anything other than a tie would have undermined that.
Well, personally after rewatching the series not too long ago, the reason I ended up not liking the fight was due to how basic it was. Ino uses one unique ability throughout the entire fight, the rest is just them punching each other with flashbacks every 5 seconds. It's just really boring to begin with, and then they cram multiple flashbacks on it to cement that fact.
@@violetsparkles5453 I feel it's more disliked because while it had a great emotional story to it the actual battle part of it was pretty lackluster with it mostly just boiling down to some unappealing punches as they both stand in place unlike the other comment pointed out it was just plain very basic one unique ability is used it fails and then it's just punching with the only part of it being interesting is the flashback and an interesting flashback is not capable of carrying a fight
Saskue probably had the biggest handicap of any ninja in the Preliminaries. At least definitely in squad seven. Naruto could at least use chakra and Sakura never had any seal ir curse placed on her. The fact that none of them straight up lost at that point is a miracle. But it especially shows how many leagues above most atendees Saskue is.
Also I have some problems with your critiques of the fights w/ Naruto: - Naruto vs Neji: + think the whole point of the Neji fight was that Nobody's destiny is tied to their past. Naruto vs Neji is less about nobody is bounded by destiny and more about how Nobody's past and present dictates their destiny/future. That fate was undecisive. Naruto himself didn't know he was the reincarnation of a God, hokage, or a child of prophecy until years later. Yes, those moments are frustrating, but they dont negate the purpose of Naruto vs Neji. It was Naruto's life experiences, failures, and accomplishments that brought him to that point. + also tweaking Neji's message to being about Naruto being destined to be cursed by kyubi is stupid because 1.) He and the other kids aren't supposed to know about that, and 2.) Kyubi was integral to Naruto's success in that fight. Assuming Naruto is fated to be evil is also dumb because Naruto is proving his point by defeating him with said Chakra - Naruto vs Kiba + I think everyone's complaint with the fart is not the logic behind it, but because its essentially plot armor. A freak accident a battle where he probably would've lost otherwise because he was nerved with the five element seal. It's supposed to be funny, but I think it could be improved if Naruto did it on purpose. Naruto's an immature prankster so it isn't unreasonable to assume he'd fool Kiba into thinking he's powering up, only to fart on his face knowing about Kiba's sense of smell, which almost costed him had he not transform into Akamaru. To conclude, I can agree that these battles aren't perfect. How Naruto was able to dig a hole underground and knock out Neji with enough Velocity to garuntee a victory is an asspull (and in the Manga, his hand is curved in a weird way) but I don't think your suggestions for improving vs Neji are any better.
I would say at the time of the preliminaries he's maybe 5th or 6th strongest I could see quite a few of the candidates they're beating him even if he had his energy to use and wasn't handicapped he's not beating Gaara or Neji definitely I see no reason why rock lee wouldn't beat him again Ironically does he have any answer against ino? I forget exactly how her mind transfer works but can he do anything just stop her? I doubt Lee was going to put almost any strength behind it and she wasn't lifting his leg weight or anything. His whole point is that he had to show a lot of restraint until he was given permission to drop the weights. If he always wore them, it wouldn't really be that difficult for him to show restraint.

After all, at least if the minimum respect is to be given to the laws of physics, all the weight carried in his leg was supposed to be passed on with the kick.
@ericLpereira1989 Yes, but by that logic, Sasuke's head should have been kicked off. I'm not saying it's not a major suspension of disbelief, but there were a lot of people who should have noticed this before Temari blocked his kick, so I'm completely fine filling in the plot hole with random head canon. Him just being extremely good at taijutsu is less of a stretch than Naruto randomly burrowing through the ground and getting enough upwards thrust fast enough to knock Neji out in a single hit. At least, in my opinion.
@@HashimotoDatsu But it's not that Temari necessarilly shouldn't be able to block the kick. It's that the power level of the kick should already give an idea of the weight carried. The heavier the object, the more difficult it will be will be to stop it's movement. But Temari, like it was nothing, did it to the same heavy object that she latter was so surprised to see that how much it weighted. Sasuke and the others hit by it before at least would be more compatible with being amazed by the weights, just as they were far from disdaining the strenght of Lee's kicks. In fact the weights could be directly related to him failing to block Lee's kick, and being amazed/ confused on how it happened. But I salute you on your abbility to correct nonsenses from the story with headcanon. That's a very helpfull abbility to possess. I personally engage in the headcanon that it was actually Guy that stopped Lee's kick, wich would make a very plausable room for Temari to disdain Lee for his speed, not his weakness. I also agree that that hole digged by Naruto was quite a strech. But since ninjas are overall stronger than regular humans, it's a bit easier to accept that he could pull enough earth to get enough space so he could get the impulse,. Wouldn't be a direct violation of the laws of physics and is not contradicting some previous scene. Also, that hit was just the finishing blow, after Neji was weakened by the previous chakra explosion.

You can stop a slow moving car with your body however it harder to lift said car so lifting strength and leverage vs pulling/pushing strength and leverage, so her not noticing the weight would be believable as if you've stopped a rolling car it's not hard to notice stopping sideways movement vs something moving with/against gravity is way different. Not a physics major in any way but cars weight a lot and stopping a rolling car is easier than lifting one.
Hard to say which fight is my favorite. Yeah neji vs Naruto Lee vs Gaara and Sasuke vs Gaara are definitely top tier but I do think shino is very underappreciated with how quickly he can win and how his character is so broken Temari off screening ten ten is hilarious as well and sakura vs ino was good

I have to agree with you so much on how the sound trio was so under used by the series as their gimmicks all have such potential for improvements in interesting ways. Dosu for example could have increased the way he uses vibrations to create shockwaves to attack and defend as one example

My problem with naruto vs kiba is that it seems like Naruto won by accident and it really looks like Naruto is buffed by destiny, like, what if Naruto haven't drank spoiled milk before the exams? Ironically, Pepper Bombs is basic ninja 101 and would have had the exact same effect. But we cant have Naruto actually winning with just his cunning, this is kind of a thing since the start. Naruto generally goes "quite close but not enough" when fighting alone, to them get help from Kyuubi and / or an ally and win (his fight for the Bell with Kakashi... Kakashi was actually caught off guard twice ot thrice, so did Zabuza in the first encounter, but it's always countered at the last second). This kind of main character was quite commom at the time (Yuusuke from YYH and what not), but surelly didnt age well. Having the upperhand taken away several times to just win in a Lucky shot feels really weird nowadays.

Unlike naruto and sasuke, who were reincarnated brothers trapped in an endless cycle of hatred destined to fight to the death.

I would have switched Naruto vs Neji and Naruto vs Kiba. I prefer the fight against Neji more than against Kiba. Other than that, I'm on the same page with the rankings in this video, I was actually predicting right which fight would go next. And of course, Lee vs Gaara being at the top is no surprising at all. It's definitively the best 1v1 fight in the Chunin exams and honestly, can easily make the Top 10 best fights of the entire series. The fight is just that good and iconic.

Shikamaru takes the same moves as his opponent in shadow possession. The point of the shuriken was so when he released the jutsu during the dodge they'd either have to finish the dodge, knocking themselves out, or take a shuriken to the head. The point of the shuriken was to put them in a lose lose situation.
Hinata broke the pain rods keeping naruto chakra down showing up when he was about to be taken away and her stabbing movitated him to turn 6 tails instantly and rely on kurama again when he decided not to for safety of others and he was forced to go 8.5 tails and willing to go 9 and die until his dad stopped him...naruto gave up and lost before she showed up...plus she protected him in the war vs the ten tails and gave a speech to motivate him when he was at his lowest...and he does remember her confession in the movie which got then together so i wouldn't say it was a waste or she didn't do anything else
Choji had the worst fight in my opinion. Ten-Ten's was bad, but it at least made Temari look like a real threat in the manga. Kankuro's fight was pretty bad as well, but did it's job. I didn't really care for Shino in the anime fight, but it got points for brutality in the manga. Kin's fight was interesting, as I believe the shuriken was a farce to make her relax and not tense up for an unexpected knockout from behind. After that, I think the fights were all pretty good, including Sakura vs Ino. I pretty much agree with the order of the last few you had. The implication that Lee would never fight again was twisting the dagger.
I disagree that Shikamaru's deception was just for theatrics. If she wasn't distracted, she maybe would have noticed how close she was to the wall and mentally braced herself for the impact
One thing I will say for the Shikamaru vs Kin fight is that I believe Shikamaru had to throw the shurika so that Kin would go through with dodging, because the thing with the sjadoe possession jutsu is that one can stoll struggle against it (especially since Shikamaru was not nearly as skilled with his shadow jutsu as he is now), so he threw the shuriken to make sure Kin would dodge without resistance, and hit her head hard enough to be knocked out. Yes, i was incredbly bored when i decided to do this explanation.

With regards to the Shikamaru vs Kin fight, doing the dodging theatrics actually did matter because of how resisting and working with the shadow works. She would have hit her head WAY less hard and been able to brace for it if she could tell what he was doing. By making her WANT to do it, she put her whole being into ducking it on top of the shadow.
A bit unrelated, but I'm glad I'm not the only one that liked Sasuke's black outfit. Beyond that, I prefer it. I wish he had kept it all the way to the very end of his battle with Naruto in The Valley of the End, being a good visual representation of Sasuke's mindset becoming darker. At least then it would make sense why he stopped wearing it given the coming timeskip and everyone getting new threads. But since he did change before that, my head-canon is that beating from Itachi in his objectively better clothing filled Sasuke with so much shame, he vowed to never wear anything like it again and opted to go back to his old outfit with slight alterations. Lol
Shino, Inner Sakura, whatever. Yes, they're wasted in Shippuden, but the real waste is Lee. Reaching your peak in your second fight is not fair. I can understand Shino being sidelined, he never was a major character, but Lee was a favourite and probably the biggest of the secondary characters

Neji really wasn't right in that destiny is set in stone, Naruto was destined to fight his brother in arms to the death and as a jinchuriki only to be seen as merely a weapon. He proves destiny isn't unbreakable, Minato also has nothing to do with his destiny as he never benefited from that and if we had to pick which parent gave more impact in genetics then obviously it's kushina. Neji going down to Naruto in one punch is pretty lame. If it were a character like Shikamaru you could reasonably justify it, but Neji shouldn't be such a glass jaw for no reason but convenience. You also have to ignore Neji not seeing Naruto burrowing underground with his Byakugan, and frankly the Hyuga are clowned on enough to not give their most advanced prodigy the most vanilla power he's supposed to have.
I'm conflicted regarding the Tenten vs Temari fight in the anime. It's obvious it goes on a little TOO long than it should in the anime because they were buying time trying to fill those minutes, but I do like that we actually get to see them fight unlike in the manga. The issue is...they were clearly stretching thin Tenten's abilities in that one anime fight. She was heavily hard-countered by Temari from the start, and so seeing her go through what is essentially the one SAME attack multiple times despite a 0% success rate, each time thinking it would change this time around and it would finally hit Temari - but like...no... Your weapons won't pass through a charkra-imbued wall of wind - it doesn't take three times to establish that. Can we switch strategies or... ? I do like what it does for Temari's character, though. She's mean and fun to watch.
I kinda liked ino vs sakura but what killed it for me is a) it going on for a little too long and b) the inner sakura actually stopping ino's jutsu. It obv isnt as impactful as other asspulls in the series but this is a really annoying of deus ex bullshit to me. Like the writer came down from the heavens and said "oops lol cant let logic get too ahead of itself"

I get that kishimoto wrote sakura's forest of death fight for character development, but up until today I still think its just lame how he did it. Kin was holding her by her hair and was completely blank to being stabbed by sakura only for her to completely ignore several openings to take down an enemy and cuts off her hair... just dumb
Naruto vs neji is the #1 to me because unlike Lee Naruto actually won his fight and beat destiny at the same time.. lee on the other hand went multiple gates and still lost and had to get saved by Guy smh give Naruto his roses

Nah Tenten vs Temari should be higher. The fight the showed in the anime quick but brutal. We don’t get many hardcore female fights, but that is one I come back to rewatch.
Naruto did prove Neji wrong, in that he made himself the person he is at the end of the series, and didn’t let others determine it for him. Yeah he has all the powers, but only Naruto’s choices would get him to hokage, instead of being locked up and shunned by the leaf village forever. Like it’s more of a lesson of perspective than the actual outcomes

ITS NOT a battle about Sasuke, and if u think it is, u were a kid when watched for the first time. Choji and Dosu, Sasuke and Yoroi, Kankuro and Tsurugi, even that trash Kiba vs Naruto were much worse than the Girl Fights. Hinata vs Neji Rock Lee vs Gaara Neji vs Naruto Temari vs Shikamaru Gaara vs Sasuke (the beginning) Ino vs Sakura These fights for me are the best ones and i can choose Rock Lee vs Gaara as my favorite. At least in the Naruto Rewrite that Dygo is doing, he corrected a lot of things and turned a lot of figths better, the only thing i would apply in the Rewrite would be more Ino and Sakura rivalry, so Ino could be more developed and strong. Until the moment i watched of course, cause i didnt finished all the videos.

Honestly, one of the best arcs for me. There is probably a lot of nostalgia tied to thisbopinion, but Orochimaru is one of the villains who always does something interesting when he is on the screen. The atmosphere his presence creates is just something else.

Tenten vs Temari isn't that bad (in the manga) because it sets up Temari's power without showing anything, which builds her up towards her actually important fights with Shikamaru.
Whereas Choji's fight builds the sound guy towards nothing and makes a joke out of Choji, who was already a joke since his only characterization up to this point was being FAT and UGLY

I think Shikamaru's throwing of the shuriken is absolutely a 200 IQ move because the person under the shadow possession jutsu is more relaxed and doesn't stiffen their body, allowing Shikamaru to smoothly execute his trick.
Rock Lee's fight with Gara is one of the best fights in anime or any type of media in term of action and narrative !
Sakura vs Ino wasn't really about Sasuke - it was those two coming to an accord and beginning to repair the relationship they broke long ago. Anything other than a tie would have undermined that.

Well, personally after rewatching the series not too long ago, the reason I ended up not liking the fight was due to how basic it was. Ino uses one unique ability throughout the entire fight, the rest is just them punching each other with flashbacks every 5 seconds. It's just really boring to begin with, and then they cram multiple flashbacks on it to cement that fact.

Saskue probably had the biggest handicap of any ninja in the Preliminaries. At least definitely in squad seven. Naruto could at least use chakra and Sakura never had any seal ir curse placed on her. The fact that none of them straight up lost at that point is a miracle. But it especially shows how many leagues above most atendees Saskue is.
Also I have some problems with your critiques of the fights w/ Naruto:
- Naruto vs Neji:
+ think the whole point of the Neji fight was that Nobody's destiny is tied to their past. Naruto vs Neji is less about nobody is bounded by destiny and more about how Nobody's past and present dictates their destiny/future. That fate was undecisive. Naruto himself didn't know he was the reincarnation of a God, hokage, or a child of prophecy until years later. Yes, those moments are frustrating, but they dont negate the purpose of Naruto vs Neji. It was Naruto's life experiences, failures, and accomplishments that brought him to that point.
+ also tweaking Neji's message to being about Naruto being destined to be cursed by kyubi is stupid because 1.) He and the other kids aren't supposed to know about that, and 2.) Kyubi was integral to Naruto's success in that fight. Assuming Naruto is fated to be evil is also dumb because Naruto is proving his point by defeating him with said Chakra
- Naruto vs Kiba
+ I think everyone's complaint with the fart is not the logic behind it, but because its essentially plot armor. A freak accident a battle where he probably would've lost otherwise because he was nerved with the five element seal. It's supposed to be funny, but I think it could be improved if Naruto did it on purpose. Naruto's an immature prankster so it isn't unreasonable to assume he'd fool Kiba into thinking he's powering up, only to fart on his face knowing about Kiba's sense of smell, which almost costed him had he not transform into Akamaru.
To conclude, I can agree that these battles aren't perfect. How Naruto was able to dig a hole underground and knock out Neji with enough Velocity to garuntee a victory is an asspull (and in the Manga, his hand is curved in a weird way) but I don't think your suggestions for improving vs Neji are any better.

I doubt Lee was going to put almost any strength behind it and she wasn't lifting his leg weight or anything. His whole point is that he had to show a lot of restraint until he was given permission to drop the weights. If he always wore them, it wouldn't really be that difficult for him to show restraint.

I'm not saying it's not a major suspension of disbelief, but there were a lot of people who should have noticed this before Temari blocked his kick, so I'm completely fine filling in the plot hole with random head canon. Him just being extremely good at taijutsu is less of a stretch than Naruto randomly burrowing through the ground and getting enough upwards thrust fast enough to knock Neji out in a single hit. But it's not that Temari necessarilly shouldn't be able to block the kick. It's that the power level of the kick should already give an idea of the weight carried. The heavier the object, the more difficult it will be will be to stop it's movement. But Temari, like it was nothing, did it to the same heavy object that she latter was so surprised to see that how much it weighted. Sasuke and the others hit by it before at least would be more compatible with being amazed by the weights, just as they were far from disdaining the strenght of Lee's kicks. In fact the weights could be directly related to him failing to block Lee's kick, and being amazed/ confused on how it happened.
But I salute you on your abbility to correct nonsenses from the story with headcanon. That's a very helpfull abbility to possess. I personally engage in the headcanon that it was actually Guy that stopped Lee's kick, wich would make a very plausable room for Temari to disdain Lee for his speed, not his weakness.
I also agree that that hole digged by Naruto was quite a strech. But since ninjas are overall stronger than regular humans, it's a bit easier to accept that he could pull enough earth to get enough space so he could get the impulse,. Wouldn't be a direct violation of the laws of physics and is not contradicting some previous scene. Also, that hit was just the finishing blow, after Neji was weakened by the previous chakra explosion.

You can stop a slow moving car with your body however it harder to lift said car so lifting strength and leverage vs pulling/pushing strength and leverage, so her not noticing the weight would be believable as if you've stopped a rolling car it's not hard to notice stopping sideways movement vs something moving with/against gravity is way different. Not a physics major in any way but cars weight a lot and stopping a rolling car is easier than lifting one.
Hard to say which fight is my favorite. Yeah neji vs Naruto Lee vs Gaara and Sasuke vs Gaara are definitely top tier but I do think shino is very underappreciated with how quickly he can win and how his character is so broken

But we cant have Naruto actually winning with just his cunning, this is kind of a thing since the start. Naruto generally goes "quite close but not enough" when fighting alone, to them get help from Kyuubi and / or an ally and win (his fight for the Bell with Kakashi... Kakashi was actually caught off guard twice ot thrice, so did Zabuza in the first encounter, but it's always countered at the last second).
This kind of main character was quite commom at the time (Yuusuke from YYH and what not), but surelly didnt age well. Having the upperhand taken away several times to just win in a Lucky shot feels really weird nowadays.

I would have switched Naruto vs Neji and Naruto vs Kiba. I prefer the fight against Neji more than against Kiba. Other than that, I'm on the same page with the rankings in this video, I was actually predicting right which fight would go next.
And of course, Lee vs Gaara being at the top is no surprising at all. It's definitively the best 1v1 fight in the Chunin exams and honestly, can easily make the Top 10 best fights of the entire series. The fight is just that good and iconic.

Shikamaru takes the same moves as his opponent in shadow possession. The point of the shuriken was so when he released the jutsu during the dodge they'd either have to finish the dodge, knocking themselves out, or take a shuriken to the head. The point of the shuriken was to put them in a lose lose situation.

Hinata broke the pain rods keeping naruto chakra down showing up when he was about to be taken away and her stabbing movitated him to turn 6 tails instantly and rely on kurama again when he decided not to for safety of others and he was forced to go 8.5 tails and willing to go 9 and die until his dad stopped him...naruto gave up and lost before she showed up...plus she protected him in the war vs the ten tails and gave a speech to motivate him when he was at his lowest...and he does remember her confession in the movie which got then together so i wouldn't say it was a waste or she didn't do anything else
Choji had the worst fight in my opinion. Ten-Ten's was bad, but it at least made Temari look like a real threat in the manga. Kankuro's fight was pretty bad as well, but did it's job. I didn't really care for Shino in the anime fight, but it got points for brutality in the manga. Kin's fight was interesting, as I believe the shuriken was a farce to make her relax and not tense up for an unexpected knockout from behind.
After that, I think the fights were all pretty good, including Sakura vs Ino. I pretty much agree with the order of the last few you had. The implication that Lee would never fight again was twisting the dagger.
I disagree that Shikamaru's deception was just for theatrics. If she wasn't distracted, she maybe would have noticed how close she was to the wall and mentally braced herself for the impact
One thing I will say for the Shikamaru vs Kin fight is that I believe Shikamaru had to throw the shurika so that Kin would go through with dodging, because the thing with the sjadoe possession jutsu is that one can stoll struggle against it (especially since Shikamaru was not nearly as skilled with his shadow jutsu as he is now), so he threw the shuriken to make sure Kin would dodge without resistance, and hit her head hard enough to be knocked out.

With regards to the Shikamaru vs Kin fight, doing the dodging theatrics actually did matter because of how resisting and working with the shadow works. She would have hit her head WAY less hard and been able to brace for it if she could tell what he was doing. By making her WANT to do it, she put her whole being into ducking it on top of the shadow.

I wish he had kept it all the way to the very end of his battle with Naruto in The Valley of the End, being a good visual representation of Sasuke's mindset becoming darker. At least then it would make sense why he stopped wearing it given the coming timeskip and everyone getting new threads. But since he did change before that, my head-canon is that beating from Itachi in his objectively better clothing filled Sasuke with so much shame, he vowed to never wear anything like it again and opted to go back to his old outfit with slight alterations. Neji going down to Naruto in one punch is pretty lame. If it were a character like Shikamaru you could reasonably justify it, but Neji shouldn't be such a glass jaw for no reason but convenience. You also have to ignore Neji not seeing Naruto burrowing underground with his Byakugan, and frankly the Hyuga are clowned on enough to not give their most advanced prodigy the most vanilla power he's supposed to have.

I'm conflicted regarding the Tenten vs Temari fight in the anime. It's obvious it goes on a little TOO long than it should in the anime because they were buying time trying to fill those minutes, but I do like that we actually get to see them fight unlike in the manga.
The issue is...they were clearly stretching thin Tenten's abilities in that one anime fight. She was heavily hard-countered by Temari from the start, and so seeing her go through what is essentially the one SAME attack multiple times despite a 0% success rate, each time thinking it would change this time around and it would finally hit Temari - but like...no... Your weapons won't pass through a charkra-imbued wall of wind - it doesn't take three times to establish that. Can we switch strategies or... ?
I do like what it does for Temari's character, though. She's mean and fun to watch.
I kinda liked ino vs sakura but what killed it for me is a) it going on for a little too long and b) the inner sakura actually stopping ino's jutsu.
It obv isnt as impactful as other asspulls in the series but this is a really annoying of deus ex bullshit to me. Like the writer came down from the heavens and said "oops lol cant let logic get too ahead of itself"
So the idea of knowing naruto had the nine tails wasn't known by most ppl that didn't live through it. So i doubt neji with his very strict upbringing would know about it

Hey just a random thought but what if the reason why Sakura has the best resistance to genjutsu even being better then a jinchuriki is not because of her chakra control but cause of the inner Sakura like how she kicked ino out of her mind as that’s the reason we’re given as to why a jinchuriki can’t be put under genjutsu is cause the tailed beast disrupts the chakra flow well what if Sakura has a similar thing for some random reason
Neji was a victim of political sabatoge, they literally state he is a taijutsu master, So why did they pair him up with guy??? Obviously hinatas dad pulled strings to impede his training because he didn't want a branch family member to be considered stronger than the main family, did he need an instructor in taijutsu no instead hinatas father had him put under guys tutilage to train lee so that he might train someone who could end up stronger than him and make him look weak, he should of trained under the hokage personally beeing considered the prodigy of Narutos generation and mastering the gentle fist before even becoming a chunin, or someone like kurenai who would focus on developing his other ninja skill and maybe advance his technique with genjustu or asuma so he could develope better chalkra natures to develop but the hyuga family is petty

Kin was holding her by her hair and was completely blank to being stabbed by sakura only for her to completely ignore several openings to take down an enemy and cuts off her hair... just dumb
Naruto vs neji is the #1 to me because unlike Lee Naruto actually won his fight and beat destiny at the same time.. lee on the other hand went multiple gates and still lost and had to get saved by Guy smh give Naruto his roses

Nah Tenten vs Temari should be higher. The fight the showed in the anime quick but brutal. We don’t get many hardcore female fights, but that is one I come back to rewatch.

Naruto did prove Neji wrong, in that he made himself the person he is at the end of the series, and didn’t let others determine it for him. Yeah he has all the powers, but only Naruto’s choices would get him to hokage, instead of being locked up and shunned by the leaf village forever. Like it’s more of a lesson of perspective than the actual outcomes

I dont have problem with temari vs tenten, actually in the anime it was a decent fight cause we could see Tenten isnt weak but Temari is a bigger threat. In my opinion Ino vs Sakura is the Third Best Fight of the preliminary fights, cause had a lot of meanning and people use to hate cause its a girls fight (and the draw thing). ITS NOT a battle about Sasuke, and if u think it is, u were a kid when watched for the first time. Choji and Dosu, Sasuke and Yoroi, Kankuro and Tsurugi, even that trash Kiba vs Naruto were much worse than the Girl Fights. If Tenten vs Temari and Ino vs Sakura were fought by boys, they would receive more value from the fandom, for me thats a fact.

These fights for me are the best ones and i can choose Rock Lee vs Gaara as my favorite. At least in the Naruto Rewrite that Dygo is doing, he corrected a lot of things and turned a lot of figths better, the only thing i would apply in the Rewrite would be more Ino and Sakura rivalry, so Ino could be more developed and strong. Until the moment i watched of course, cause i didnt finished all the videos.
