Mine is expiring next month so this was great timing. Thanks!
Glad to help!
Did they still fix some stuff or did they blame it on having many years when you told them about your problems?
Thanks for sharing
2018 LRRWD M3 110,000 miles I will be checking everything soon. Thanks for the videos
Real tip, get a lift and learn how to change out a battery. 😂
I already have a tire changing machine because mine eats tires every 20k miles.
So how many miles u have to drive per month to help keep the warranty?
My model 3 is close to 50k miles so this video was helpful. At the end of the videos that you want to do 1000 miles minimum I know that warranty doesn’t cover normal wear but will they look at my car differently since it has no many miles or will some parts of warranty cover because of the miles it has?
Won't tesla give you a hard time on new misalignment on car doors and trunk?
what is the warranty on low voltage battery for Model 3?
The 12v? They should replace it for free if it went out prematurely like after a few months of ownership. But if it’s been the appropriate amount of time (3-4 years) the cost is on you
Did you have any issues replacing that windshield and having it recalibrated?? Also what’s the cost and who did the work?
It’s about $1200 to replace the windshield and I highly recommend doing it through Tesla
@@tesbros thanks
I'm sure you know about the issue affecting the Model 3/Y at night whereby there's a yellow glare in the blind spot cameras from the turn signals. Evidently this was fixed when Tesla switched to Samsung cameras with the slightly redesigned housing. Unfortunately it seems Tesla doesn't allow the Sony cameras to be swapped out for the Samsung. Nor have they released a revised camera housing for Model 3 and Y Are you aware of a fix?
There’s not an easy fix. And this would not be covered by warranty. There is a video of a TH-camr where he modified the housing but it’s not easy to do so wouldn’t recommend. Hopefully they give that option later though!
@@tesbros Yes I've seen that repair video. It just seems to me it should be covered under warranty or some kind of reasonably-priced repair program as this is clearly a defect and precisely why they made a revision in the design. You see how clear the Hyundai/Kia EV blind spot cameras looked from day one so you'd think this would be an embarrassment to Tesla.
Do a search on TH-cam for the repair video. It isn't really all that difficult if you can handle small items. It is a matter of removing the unit, opening it and making a small mod and closing a plated through hole on a circuit board. Took me about an hour for each side.
@@tesbros Update: I contacted Tesla yesterday. They messaged me today offering to swap out the "repeaters" for $330. They said the yellow flash affected the earlier 3/Y cameras and is "normal" (which is bullshit), but I had their mobile service fix it.
I considered doing the repair myself to fix that glare but decided to just get them replaced. it was $500 at Tesla and I pushed hard on the point that it was a defect but in the end, I lost that argument and paid the money. I love the new cameras!
Is a faulty battery necessary to utilize the warranty? Or can I simply replace it for a fresh one even if it's not faulty when I’m at 95,000 miles with 80% battery capacity?
It has to fall below 70% battery capacity during the warranty period to be covered
Did you tint your glass roof?? If so what percentage?
It’s not necessary because the roof is already 20% from factory, meaning 20% of light can pass through. If you want it darker, you certainly can add more tint or just get some sun shades that cover the roof and only use when needed
@@tesbros some have complained that they’ve still felt the heat even with the tinted roof and need that extra layer of protection to keep the car cooler and to protect their head.
Yeah its definitely an option! I've never had problems, but everyone is different and lives in different climates. If you added 50% tint to the factory 20%, it would cut the VLT in half to 10%. You could go even darker and add 35% tint, making it 7%. Formula = 20% x the percent of tint you want = VLT percentage
Is a burned out tail light covered under warranty?
It should be if it was a faulty bulb or condensation got in there. Basically if you can prove that it was a tesla part defect and through no fault of your own, then it should be covered
Willing lowering a tesla model 3 affect the battery warranty?
It shouldn't. If something were to happen to your battery or drive train, and you needed to get it fixed, Tesla will have to prove that the aftermarket components caused the failure for it to not be covered.
There is an extended warranty you can buy from tesla for two more years ex. I think it's about $ 1800 on model 3, which I think is reasonable, check it out.
Battery covered for that price?
@@TheUnknown-mg8fvnope
Is the battery covered?
nope@@rodneyrodriguez7653
@@rodneyrodriguez7653No. Its just extends the cars basic warranty
Tesla warranty expireing just means new hacks coming Ghost Mods, 150hp increase, maybe a new paint job.... endless opportunity
You left off sell the car lol!
