    I just bought this machine to replace my industrial machines when I’m traveling. You have shown me so much more than the shop that sold it to me. Thank you for your tutorial, you are a fantastic teacher.

    I bought this machine around 2014 (it will last for years, and yeas, and years), and loved it so much, that I bought another in 2021, so I will always have one. The reason I did this, is because if I 'love' something, when I go to get it later, the companies stop making it (does that happen to you?) I teach sewing and the students do well with the turtle control.

    This is exactly what I want in a machine. I don’t have room for an industrial machine with the table and everything. It’ll basically do everything I’d want an industrial machine and still be a table top. I love that it has the cutter on the foot pedal, the knee lift foot, and the long arm. I’m sold!

      I'm considering this machine for handbags. I use a lot of vinyl and my machine has trouble. How is the Juki 2010q doing for you? Have you had any trouble sewing over folded straps, like when adding D hooks?

    • @StephanieVannoy
      @StephanieVannoy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CahliaShay I haven't had any issues with mine thus far! Still running like a charm! When I get to the vinyl parts, I change my foot to a teflon foot (I Ordered one through Amazon cause I wasn't going to pay double to triple the price other companies asked for) and had no issues either.
      When I made the Denver Backpack by Swoon, still no issues, even with the hardware.

    The 5 and 7 on the needle plate are also mm markings :) Seven millimeters is approximately 1/4 inch. The 5 mm line gives me a "scant 1/4 inch". Inches are divided into 16th on a ruler, so you wouldn't have a fifth of an inch, or a 7th. (1/4 inch is most used for quilting, 5/8 inch is common for a clothing seam allowance. I hope that helps you with our silly Imperial system. I wish we would use metric, it is so much easier!) I had to play the needles threading at 50% speed, but I finally got it. Thanks for the good camera work!

    I would love a demo on tension with different treads maybe I use Rasant thread and not sure about the tension sometimes on my juki. I’m not sure if my tension is right and how do I know once sewn. I was told that if you pull on the top thread and it locks in place your tension is right. My top tread moves slightly and my tension is between 1-2 when the foot is in the down position.

    My manual states to go through the hole before going around the knob for bobbin winding? Also the feet on the extended table has levelers so your table dose not wobble.

    • @dcwatashi
      @dcwatashi ปีที่แล้ว

      You only use that hole if you are using thread that is slippery. If you’re using cotton thread for the bobbin you don’t have to go through the hole

    I have this machine and I love it. One problem I have is that although I have had it several years, I have problems with the pedal. No matter how I place my foot on the pedal, I am constantly activating the threat cutter by accident? Are there any hints for using the pedal that will avoid activating the thread cutter?

    • @daisyb282

    She threaded the top sub tension dial incorrectly. It comes from the top on both the first hole in the third hole where she threaded it from the bottom up
    And she also put the Bobbin into the bobbin case incorrectly. She has it going counterclockwise and it needs to go clockwise

    Hello! Got a question for ya. I'm getting close to begin quilting and/or FMQ on my very first quilt...💃🏼 😂 (& it's a queen size). I may have bitten off too much cuz the machine I have sits on my large sewing table however it's not flush with the table. I have an accessory piece for my machine that works like a Sew Steady but I really don't think it's substantial enough for so much bulk. Do you have any ideas as to how I could ..get a great price for a long arm 😂 OR "quilt-as-you-go" (which I've never done before & you could do a tutorial 👍) OR just struggle along in hopes that it doesn't look completely awful. Make sense? I need your brainpower! 💪

      Yes. You can buy it separately. It doesn’t come with it.

    That bobbin assembly looks suspiciously much like the one on my Pfaff 92 from 1961. Very much like an exact copy....I think there might be some "Japanese Copy-lending" (thank you very much so sorry please) action going on here. Or just some inter-axis co-operation ;)

    Could you please share some brands of thread that the Juki pays well with? My machine seams to be fussy.

      Addar l know. Funny right? It because it’s for American audiences. Kinda of like all of the major industries who do professional clothing patterns are in English and Spanish because they are for American audiences. Except Burda- they do English and French for Canadians. I missed out on the 2010, but got the upgrade 18QVP. Love it!
