Such a beautiful vase .To have it wholly of wood and not including resin makes it particularly lovely in my view.While resin is effective certainly,I think its use makes the completed piece neither fish nor fowl.

Your wood turning is so mesmerizing. It's some of the most beautiful art I've seen. Did you start off wood turning like this or did you start out by chiseling and carving? When you first begin to use the machine, how hard was it to start using the tools? Ever have a tool yanked out your hand? Any kind of the issues beginners would have? I'm just real curious. I'd like to try my hand at making things like cups with eopxy and wood, and bowls the same way. Well an entire kitchen set made by me lol Any suggestions ?
Take a course in wood turning if you are a beginner, they will show you correct way to hold and use the different tools so you won’t get hurt. When you have a gouge catch on a piece of wood spinning in excess of 2500 RPMs it’s not only scares but really dangerous. Wood turning is an awesome hobby and taking a proper course is the best way to get started, you could learn from trial and error but that takes a lot of time and you’ll never know what you’re missing or could be doing better or are doing wrong. GREAT skills and idea, beautiful piece! 👍 But you removed far to much wood for me. JMHO, but that would have been an even more impressive job if it had been hollowed out sooner and a lid made on the top! Overall that is an amazing piece of work! 👍

Maybe the tree blew over in a storm and crushed the home owners fishing boat and the home owner Happens to be a turner. There is a lot of talent in this world.
Am I the only one that would pause that machine at least every 30 seconds to see how it would turn out to be? (certainly at the beginning peeling off all those layers)
