Some killer apps I’ve found this year are -Capacities (similar to Notion) -Cubox (pocket web clipper alternative with AI integration) -Lunch Money (for finances) (my choice) -monarch money (for finances) ( better UI) -Cooklist (I absolutely adore this app for meal planning) -Flavrs (like TikTok but it’s 100% food, very good for inspiration in the kitchen)
I have to have a mixture of both.... I need the bells and whistles, color and portability of an EC, and the in-your-face visuals of a manual calendar because of memory issues! I feel my photographic memory is better than my short term!
Notion is still confusing to me - I can’t grasp it😩😑 I want to master it. But it’s so many moving parts … maybe you can do a dedicated “how to notion video” 😂
Try Capacities. It blends the blank canvas of notion with the structure of a file manager. For example you can add a new “sticky note” “list” “to do” “person” “daily note” “pages” or whatever you want (it’s customizable). That then goes and lives in an object based list for “sticky notes”. That’s nothing crazy but the magic is you can then essentially insert these objects inside a blank “notion-like” page and do all the open canvas stuff with the sticky note. It helps keep a structure while letting you freeform ideas. It’s really just a different way of mentally processing your notes that this app solves for me that notion couldn’t.
Need your Notion template for your TH-cam channel. Interested in using Notion, but haven't an idea on where to start or how to created a great space for being organized.
Great video as per usual!!!!! I love e-calendars as well - I downloaded tick tick when you mentioned it before and I love it 😅 .. it’s a very clean and organized look.
Love this video...I just found out about notion this year and like you said it's a game changer. I own about 1100 books so I am currently building a notion database for my home library and to keep track of all my reading and book reviews. Gonna try out some of these other apps as well.
I'm both an e-calendar and physical calendar person. I'm a visual person so I like to see things in-person too. So I have a physical calendar in my bedroom.
I like to mix digital with paper: my calendar and “project management overviews “ are digital but I have a notebook fired my weekly todos. I find it soothing to write out what my week looks like, what my day looks like and have the satisfaction of crossing them off as they get done😊
I am a paper planner girl! Digital planning sounds amazing but as soon as an alert goes off I snooze it and ultimately forget about it lol! So maybe I need a different format like those digital wall call calendars...
I’m certainly going to explore at least three apps, particularly TickTick. Your monitor setup is impressive. Could you share the names of those monitors? Also, I’d like to know how to reach out to you or your team to discuss potential sponsorship opportunities with my company. Thank you!
I hate notion because its web based and you cant draw on it... as an engineer it would be helpful to draw sketches as long with your notes as well as visual organizers that notion simply cant... i hate it

I'm late but seconding Capacities
I like notion but it's hard for me to setup. How did you design yours. Do you think you can make a video on it?

Yessssss come with the productivity gems! I love the setup!!
Thank you! 😊
Hey, Don't know if you already have one, but we need a video on that Monitor and how well it works with your Mac. Great video. Thanks,

I totally agree. For a first timer, it can be so overwhelming.
