Gender Euphoria and Dysphoria isn’t just about the body. It can be a neurological thing too for example calling a transfemme one of the girlies with likely give her euphoria even though it isn’t exactly body related

Nice video. I just need to make it clear that “nonbinary”, & “genderfluid”, are NOT the same, nor are the terms “interchangeable”. NON BINARY is to not personally relate to, or identify as, either of the two binary categories of “man”, or “woman” (or, male/female). A non-binary person may identify their gender as any point along (or, even fully outside of), the gender spectrum, &/or anywhere inbetween, the 2 binary poles. From my understanding, & also being ‘nonbinary transfeminine’, myself, my gender identity/expression is “static”. It is set, & does not change, no matter the circumstance. I believe this is, most often, the case, for Enby’s. GENDERFLUID is to have a gender identity, which fluctuates between, at least (but not limited to) two separate gender identities, or alternatively, is in a constant state of “flux”, where the person’s gender identity, & expression, is perpetually changing, based on their whim, the day, the direction of the wind, the barometric pressure, the smell of granny’s fart today, or any other thing they decide will dictate thier gender, in this moment. Genderfluid, is thusly named, specifically, because their gender is NOT “set”, or “static”. It is “fluid”. There is some overlap, as there are with many of these types of “labels”, but, yeah… definitely NOT “the same”. Thanks, have a great day! 👋😉❤

Thanks for pointing this out. I'm genderfluid and really don't like it when people call me or perceive of me as non-binary. In my mind they are very different things. I know some genderfluid people think of it as 'type' of non-binary but that isn't how all genderfluid people think of it. Everyone's their own person. Another term is Bigender, being two genders at the same time, statically, usually male and female. People like this sometimes call themselves Non-binary and sometimes call themselves Genderfluid and that's fine labels are just there to communicate ideas really. But I am a genderfluid trans woman. I like being called Genderfluid. I'm fine being called a trans woman 'cause that's usually the case. I do not like being called non-binary because that just doesn't feel like an accurate description of how my gender works. I'm not between the binary or outside of it.
One thing I like to note- at least as far as I am aware, transgender means changing the gender identity to one outside of that which you were raised as. This definition focuses on the fact that gender is based on the society one is raised in rather than the birth sex. This also clarifies a few grey areas, such as cisgender women born intersex.
@firetube8288 no, but trans people are different because they were raised as one gender and then grow up and move, or transition, to a different gender that more accurately represents who we are. I could have made that clearer. The purpose of this definition is to focus on the fact that it is social and not rooted in biology, as gender is a purely social concept. As stated above, this clarifies things surrounding the intersex community rather than boxing in all intersex people in with the trans community without them identifying as such. A trans woman was raised to be a man but recognized the incongruence between this and her internal identity of self. She then transitions socially and perhaps medically to match the external self to her internal identity. An intersex person may have been raised as a man, and that fits his identity of self. This isn't a trans person. While the definition of transgender as defined in the video would box him in with the trans community, he likely doesn't feel the term fits. He is an intersex man, not a trans man. An intersex person raised to be a man, but later feels this doesn't fit their gender identity. They are non-binary. This is a trans person. The definition in the video would make them technically a cis person since their sex is also not in the binary, but the definition I set out clarifies that this person is still very reasonable in their identifying as transgender. Being transgender is not about the person's sex, it's about their upbringing. In a theoretical world where kids weren't raised under the boxes of boy and girl, the concept of being transgender simply wouldn't make sense, as there aren't genders to transition to or from.
@@scarlethart7745 you lost me at the last paragraph, if I was raised as an undefined creature I'd still be trans, on account of the fact that my body doesnt match my gender identity
@firetube8288 as stated before, gender is a social construct. It's not based on your sex. It's based on upbringing and expectations, which are associated with that sex. In a world with one group- human, there is no man or woman, no societal expectations of a gender. If all people are actually treated the same way, what are you transitioning to? It would be purely cosmetic at that point. You just have an idealized body, so does the person getting a breast augmentation or botox. It's just making your ideal body real. To say you would still be trans is to not understand the hypothetical. If there is no gender, and you just are who you are, you can't be trans. It's not a concept here. If there is no gender you can't transition into or out of any gender.

(theres not that much debate about non-binary being counted under the trans umbrella, people that dont count it are fringe at best, but it can vary person to person)
It is not a verb tho. And it is a noun, especially for trans people. AFAB is basically similar to way cis people talk about "women" just plainly. (It is but it is also not. AFAB ≠ women at all, or trans man, or masc non-binary.)
@@novactic-s9k "Assigned male/female at birth" implies that it happened. No one would say I'm an assigned female/male at birth, that doesn't make any sense. Also AGAB, in its actual context doesn't imply the presence of certain genitals, it means it's a thing that happens to someone.
It’s a phrase, not a verb or noun. It’s like saying “I need these documents ASAP”. I’ve seen it more often used like a noun. “Btw, I am AFAB” “Please put a warning that this post is AMAB-specific” I haven’t really seen anyone (often) using it as “I was AFAB”, usually it’s present tense.

2:14 this is insane cause dang about like 3….? Years ago now, I came out as trans (ftm) and then I was like wait no…. I think I’m nonbinary…. And now I’m like wait maybe I’m genderfluid help 😭 I genuinely don’t know anymore-
The blähaj is one: pronounced blow-hi(weird but cool), and two: is also the femboy mascot!
One of my teachers called me a "good egg" the other week and it scared the living s*** out of my trans ass ngl😂😂😂
Also I recommend to any babytrans folk to read Whipping Girl it's an absolute classic.
this is even useful for non trans people lol I realized I see amab and afab written all the time but never really knew what it meant XD
(theres not that much debate about non-binary being counted under the trans umbrella, people that dont count it are fringe at best, but it can vary person to person)
AMAB/AFAB actually means assigned male/female at birth, it is a verb not a noun and it is derived from the intersex community.
It is not a verb tho. And it is a noun, especially for trans people. AFAB is basically similar to way cis people talk about "women" just plainly. (It is but it is also not. AFAB ≠ women at all, or trans man, or masc non-binary.)
What has happened to my original comment.. But it is a noun tho????
@@novactic-s9k "Assigned male/female at birth" implies that it happened. No one would say I'm an assigned female/male at birth, that doesn't make any sense. Also AGAB, in its actual context doesn't imply the presence of certain genitals, it means it's a thing that happens to someone.
It’s a phrase, not a verb or noun.
It’s like saying “I need these documents ASAP”.
I’ve seen it more often used like a noun.
“Btw, I am AFAB”
“Please put a warning that this post is AMAB-specific”
I haven’t really seen anyone (often) using it as “I was AFAB”, usually it’s present tense.
@@fullfungo Yes, I agree with that. It is used quite commonly as a noun, but it is a phrase.
@9tp5efron you kinda referenced binder when you talked about binding. I'm a little sad you left out gaff when talking about tucking. Anyways, I love your video. This is the first I've seen of you and I can't wait to get to know more of you through your videos. Thank you 💖💖💖
@@JillianAlexisI should’ve mentioned them I’m very sorry.
I got a notification earlier about a comment asking what a gaff is ,but now I can't find it to reply to the person who asked if. I hope whoever asks sees this
A gaff is to trans women what a binder is to a trans man. . . Difference being for your downstairs vs upstairs respectively
8:54 the still water in the background 😭
your voice makes me happy idk why
Hold on, your deadname is ODIN?!?!
can I have it
6:07 just to let y’all know NB is actually the name referred to for Non-Black, so please use Enby or Non-Binary! 😊😊😊❤❤❤
ok but I'm both
Actually according to the first results on google NB stands for New Balance.
(An abbreviation can mean multiple things!)
We have names for colours, why would we need to an acronym to specify that something isn't black?
I thought blahaj was a lesbian icon? Am I stupid? This is so helpful!!
“Most trans people are programmers”
Me, a truck driver trans woman: ah.
8:58 the still water dispenser in the background 💀💀💀
I'm genderfluidddd, was very happy to see my gender in a vid hehehe
8:02 It’s times like this when I wish enemies could parry attacks back at me.
ITS TIMES LIKE THIS THAT MAKE ME WISH THAT- /ref
huh, didn't know I know 99% of trans terms. Pretty interesting.
i'm a femboy [maybe?]
Now we got the trans dictionary
this video really helped! thx!
I lowk think my partner is a egg
Needed this :3
thank god it's mainly the reddit ones
*tttt board flashback*
i have permanent psychic damage from tttt. terminal brainworms
7:54 really? i thought it stood for “Franz Ferdinand & Sparks”
Guys I think we should just get rid of the concept of gender
Too real, if I had the option I would be a genderless like witch that lives in the forest
5:37 the background flipping messed with me way too much
I’m probably gonna write down some of these to give them to my grandparents because some times to them it sounds like I’m curing them bc they have no clue what I’m saying
Couldn't top surgery also refer to breast augmentation for transfemmes?
I'm pretty sure I'm genderfluid like I don't care if people call me a him/her or her/she or they/them as long as their not being a dick to me. Like I mostly prefer female but I'm tomboy-ish and will take whatever pronouns as mentioned as long as the person isn't being a piece of shit to me lmao.
I was wearing programmer socks today lmao 💀

hi
Hi ✨
I bought a blajah before I was trans lol
it still annoys me whenever people mispronounce blåhaj
isn't normie a condescending term
as a not-fully-a-guy who was born a guy idk why im here
I like calling my bf a "therian egg" because it's true and funny
T4T doesn't have to be just two people!
Honest question can someone be trans ftm but also be transfeminine? Or is it always the same (e.g transmasc and ftm)
so generally its the same (e.g transmasc and ftm) except for trans non-binary people who sometimes lean more masculine or more feminine but are still non-binary so therefore o by transmasculine or transfeminine
>explains every trans icon
>pronounces blåhaj wrong
Blåhaj is pronounced "Blow High" with a deep "oh" sound🥰
That doesn't sound right. Wouldn't it be more like 'blo hy' with the o being as in orange, and the hy being as in hydrogen?
@RasmusVJS Its part of the Swedish Alphabet, you can just look it up lol
@@RasmusVJS
Blå (Blo) = Blue in swedish
Haj (Hai) = Shark in swedish
fun video. Now hoping i don't literally get killed when i come out Q~Q
You didn’t go over TTTT terms, those are advanced trans terms
Trans Trouble in Terrorist Town?
no don't spread the brainworms v_v
we DONT need to go over thoses bruh😭 dont need the 4chan terms spreading
Those should stay there. We do not need the "giga-hon" garbage.
@@scrou154 actually we DO need to talk about them because im LITERALLY the cinderblockhon guys like that's literally me. im so rectangular oughhh ill neverrr pass im a brickhon gigahon iwnbaw
The trans dictionary goes crazy.
actually, blåhaj is pronounced "blow-high" or "blo-hi"
'blow high' would be a really weird way to pronounce blåhaj, 'blo hi' is certainly closer.
@@RasmusVJS alr thx :3
idk what i am also an orange exploded in my eye and helped me remember that
Does it say something about me that i didnt know only 3 of these
soo no. transfem and transmasc does not mean you're trans and present as more feminine or masculine. It just describes trans people who are connected to masculinity or femininity in any way! Example, a non-binary person might feel some kind of connection to masculinity, and call themself transmasc. You can be any gender and be transfem or transmasc (excluding genders with definitions that completely exclude that , like genderfaun. u can't be transfem if you're genderfaun, you can present feminine! but it's not the same thing.). You could even be a girl, but still feel some kind of masculinity having to do with your gender- and be transmasc :]
I just realized I have imposter syndrome. But not in a gender way, well, sort of. I believe I'm not masculine or feminine of the date women. What if they're lesbians I have in transitioned at all in my opinion (besides from name and gender pronouns change) for some reason I often end up getting attracted to lesbians and I'm not pretty sure if they would like me 😔. Not my fault they dress is amazing and have amazing personalities
13. Egg
