    Finally tried this product after years of going back and forth between attempting to make my frizzy/wavy/fine hair curl, or trying to keep it sleek. This stuff is AMAZING! Thanks to my sister for recommending it.

    Foam and mousse refreshes are my favorite. Try putting like half a pump in your roots too for more volume. For ultra curly refreshes, spray products work well-I’ve used the Carol’s Daughter Cactus and Rose Water Volume Spray (glycerin free) as well as Jessicurl’s awe inspiraling (refresh) and gelebration spray (spray gel enhancer) and those give me like twice the curl I get on wash day.

    LOVE mousse/foam refreshes. Sometimes my hair looks better than on washday! My fav is Giovanni 2chic Tangerine Volume Foam. It's so lightweight but it provides great hold to really reclump everything. Makes hair smell fresh too! My hair tends to feel a bit dry towards the 3rd day so I apply a tiny bit of a light leave in before the mousse.

    I've been refreshing with mousse for a while now and I'm loving it. If you find it's an especially knotty day, try separating your top part (like you had done in an older refreshing video), mist it with water (or a detangler spray if it's that bad) and finger comb your hair. Then refresh with mousse each section, turn your head upside down and give it a final pass with the mousse. It'll look amazing with a more like wash day results instead of a refreshing (which I love personally!). Sometimes I'll go with a very light layer of hairspray over the whole thing if I feel I need a bit more hold.

    I usually don't use my blow-dryer on second-day hair because I'm afraid of frying it without protectant, but I tried this anyway. My hair looks so good. Thank you for this 🖤

    Glad you are feeling better! I love this product. It took me a few tries to figure out how much to use and what worked best. Your technique is very similar to what I do and my hair turns out about this curly as well. It's fun and it makes refresh days so easy! I'm happy you shared this. Thank you!

    yasss i live for the foam refresh. been doing this for almost a year now and i’m glad to see other brands come out with more foams! for the longest treseme was the only brand i saw with a foam marketed for this specific use. now i want to try the nym one 👀

    I have wavy hair and doing a foam refresh is literally the best technique for me. You should try wave whip from cantu!! Also shea moisture has a good foam.

      What’s the difference between foam and mousse?

  • @GretchenMosetter
    @GretchenMosetter 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Love the results! I was wondering what the difference would be if you just use water to reactivate the products in your hair from washday? I often just dampen my hair and scrunch and it seems to refresh well...Didn't know if adding another product weighs the hair down more (I have fine hair) or actually added volume.
    Thanks so much for testing this out!❤️

    I love the way you handle your hair. I needed your suggestions regarding the frizziness of the hair.
    The foam does wonders to my waves but by the end of the day they become too frizzy and my hair starts misbehaving. In short i m tired of frizziness. Could you please help me to tame my frizzy hair?

  • @doowopshopgal
    @doowopshopgal 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    For next day refresh, What I like to do is add product like the gel into a small spray water bottle filled with water and I spray it on areas that need the curl. This works best for me instead of having to wet part of my hair that doesn’t need really touching up.

    wow, i love how this turned out on you!! we have similar hair types and I've been using the NYM curl talk mousse and gel along with other recommendations from you and I'm loving how my hair looks these days so thank you!! whats the best way you've found of protecting your hair at night though? i am not sure where to begin on that and wake up with crazy looking hair so would love to hear your thoughts!

    • @tabithagingerich
      @tabithagingerich  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! And I’m so glad you’re enjoying those ☺️ I love the curl talk line! Honestly I wear it down a lot, because my hair doesn’t respond too badly to that.. but my favorite way to wear it up overnight is just to put it in a big claw on top of my head! Most other methods make my hair look wonky the next day, except Medusa clipping which I have a video on, but it’s more time consuming 😁

      @@tabithagingerich lovely to hear back from you- fangirl moment!! yes Ive gotten lazy and been sleeping with it down lately even though its not the best for my hair lol! i have tried the pineapple claw clip type thing you mention which definitely still stretches things out a bit for me but I have a better refreshing routine now so ill give it another go! just checked out your video on medusa clipping, makes sense that would work well, gotta try it sometime! thanks SO much! 💙

    hi!! i was wondering if diffusing was needed, or if we could just let it air dry. i wanna use this curl refreshing foam in the morning before school because we got it a few days ago and tmrw would be my day two curls. i’m just wondering because whenever i diffuse my hair, i never have the patience to fully diffuse it, so it just ends up being frizzy. 😭

    I tried this on my hair today, my hair is very similar to yours (I think?) but I’m just getting started on my wavy hair journey! I was on day 3 hair, and I didn’t do as much product as you because I didn’t want to weigh it down, which has happened whenever I put product in it in the past, and I didn’t diffuse it because I don’t have a diffuser yet. Unfortunately, the curls/waves didn’t hold hardly at all. Do you think using more product would fix this? Or diffusing as well? I’ve been watching a bunch of your videos and I’m excited but also frustrated because I feel like it’s going to take awhile to get my hair looking how I want haha. Sorry that was long! Thanks!! ;)
