If you do not have a Sentry, what do you use to spot traffic while flying? 🤔

Thank you for the review. I'm getting one for my son while he continues his instrument training. This will be a Christmas gift and I was looking for additional feedback on the quality and features of this device....thanks Michael!

Does this Sentry give you synthetic vision with the ForeFlight Basic plan or do you need to upgrade to the pro as well to use the synthetic vision

I was using a stratux that I built and it worked well but I got tired of the size and fumbling with the battery attachment. I just got the sentry and so far it has been great. No disconnects and easy to use!

I have been using the sentri mini since last month am as you said, it is a great tool to easily spot traffic around San Diego!

Hi, thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I’m not too sure who produced for ForeFlight, I’m going have to look into that and get back to you. Be sure to subscribe, would really appreciate it

This video is lacking in some important and sometimes confusing aviation fundamentals. It's ground speed not airspeed, how could the Sentry know airspeed without connecting to the static and dynamic pressure ports? Also, why would you attempt to compare GPS altitude with the altimeter which is pressure based and depends on your QNH setting? Your "accuracy" comparisons don't really make too much sense. But what's worse is you miss a chance to explain interesting differences between GPS and pressure based instruments.

If you can’t read steam gauges you shouldn’t be Flying. And if you’re willing to shoot an approach with the sentry, thinking that it is accurate AF you need it go back to training and learn more about how some system work.

Can you use your iPads LTE connection while connected to Sentry?

From my understanding you can. It’s like connecting to a WiFi printer with your phone and still using you data.
