BlueTran Lightning seems to be good bang for buck in terms of performance.. but(after doing more research): I'm bit worried the overall quality especially considering that it's a high performance and still pretty expensive scooter.. i.e. u don't want to get into an accident on a high performance scooter due to poor quality & also don't want any issues on expensive scooter. Why did DualTron bother making another brand, rather than just selling it as value performance model under DualTron name.. Maybe they were worried about damaging their reputation with poor quality product?

I've had a scooter with those quick release type folding handle bars, never again for me, swapped them out for some mountain bike handlebars, and the ride experience was vastly improved. Good video Dan, cheers.

I don't know why most scooters even fold down..I don't live in an apartment..or intend to store back in the original box..besides it eliminates movement in the steering head giving a safer rattle free positive ride..

Yessss... I think those who want a Dualtron but don't want that exuberant cost will like this Brand instead. With those 10" X 3" Tires I think at high speed people will need a Steering Damper It rides really well though and of course it's built well

Hi, just purchased new bluetrans an on first ride i get really bad front wheel wobble , i put it on stand to checknit an as it gets higher in speed from wheel shakes really bad..... an suggestions would be great. Thanks

Give them a call, tell them OhManDan sent you and they will roll out the red carpet for you. The issue is; several units were shipped from China with lose Headset Jam Nut. Once you tighten that properly, you will get rid of 80% of your speed wobble problem... next you should add the Steering Damper, tighten folding clamps, and make sure your tire inflation is Clamps,. With all those elements in place, you will experience no more speed wobble.

Man you are strong. I couldn t lift it it out of the package on my own. My cousin helped me! But I am short, only 5 7 inches, maybe that s a thing. Like your videos and subscribed. Also, I am hyped because I bought it today for 1600 euros in Romania, cheaper than the thunder 2 or spider for example; and I also have a dualtron popular and I wanted something more powerful and wider to stand on. In comparison with the popular was it a good choise? I know its different. For the money I only had the option to buy the langfeite c5, but the specs are not close to this one.

The only thing that I don't like about the scooter is how low the deck is to the ground. Tho I did see information about adjusting the height of the suspension or idk if it effects the height of the deck to the ground. But can't complain about the price it's too good to be true the first mid range scooter ever and light weight with a 72v battery.

That's one of the Scooters that was waiting on me to return home. I had several Scooter packages waiting for me to come home, off of my two Month Tour. I need two-to-three days of rest, but I have been so busy catching up around the house, that it hasnt come together as i envisioned. I literally thought it was 4pm, but it was actually 4am this morning. Messed me all the way up. Driving through the night and sleeping in the day has got my rhythm completely off. I'll get around to opening it up...

Hey Brother, hope you are well. They were right up the middle for my weight. Of course because I am subject to always Amp up my speed on any given Ride, I prefer a stiffer Ride. So I will be looking to stiffen it up for sure. It was good enough for me to get 48mph on my test Ride during this video outro.

dunno what yall be talkin bout. this is not a beginners scooter ok. this rivals the ultra 2 and probably bests the storm in terms of performance. for the price, very few can match it. its the speedway 5 of 2022.
You are actually SAYING what I've BEEN saying all along Buddy... this is NOT A BEGINNERS SCOOTER... It is a powerful 5040 W Scooter... it's definitely a Performance Scooter (@55+ mph) with its 72V | 35Ah Battery... and a its 30A Controller. You've heard me re-iterate the reasonable VALUE packed in this portable frame... I easily got this Scooter between 47mph & 49mph during my test Ride and im 240lbs of 6'1" LOAD. So don't say "Y'ALL be TALKIN BOUT" cause OhManDan NEVER CLAIMED that the BlueTran Lightning was a Beginner's eScooter. The Mini Limited on the other hand is the best contender and choice in MiniMotor's lineup for a Beginner to delve into. I'm glad you recognize and NOTE: "My POINT" exactly Buddy. This is what excites me about this New Brand...

You're welcome Brother. When you consider the cost of Dualtrons and the Build of this Scoot... it is pretty reasonably priced in its Class at $3099. You can literally keep up with most Power Scooter Group Rides at 50+mph. I got it to 48mph in the Video. And it was very comfy and Stable. You know they also have the same Scoot in 32Ah and 26Ah versions at lower Price points?
Hey Buddy... I don't know what you're asking here. If it is my mistake on the Battery Pack... you are Right. I don't know why I said Panasonic, when I know it comes with an LG MJ1 (Panasonic does not make MJ1) 18650 Cells Pack. I did not even catch it until the Video was posted.
I'm not either but I have learned to fleece through them for the more tolerable ones. There are some that just can't and don't pass the muster Unfortunately there are just not enough beafy, dual or solid steering Poles out there that we can count solely on them
I am actually upset that this has the best suspension mechanics of any other dualtron, and I am especially upset that something like this is not on the Storm Limited. Literally furious. If they had the ability all along to actually make good headtube geometry and not awful and stupid suspension, I'd have waited until they implemented it on the Storm Limited before I bought one.
I don't know if one is worst than the other or not but it sure does beg to question MiniMotors' abilities and timing. I think both suspensions are not at the top possibilities but ike you, I can forgive the BlueTran more than the Storm LTD because of the cost.

I have a question if I may. How can I properly set up the horn. It s loose and connected to the cable but I can t figure out how to attach it with the provided screw.

Hi, just purchased new bluetrans an on first ride i get really bad front wheel wobble , i put it on stand to checknit an as it gets higher in speed from wheel shakes really bad..... an suggestions would be great. Thanks

Did you buy your Lightning from MiniMotorsUSA.com?
If so, then they will help you get the issue taken care of no charge. Give them a call, tell them OhManDan sent you and they will roll out the red carpet for you.
The issue is; several units were shipped from China with lose Headset Jam Nut. Once you tighten that properly, you will get rid of 80% of your speed wobble problem... next you should add the Steering Damper, tighten folding clamps, and make sure your tire inflation is Clamps,.
With all those elements in place, you will experience no more speed wobble.
I like everything about it except the folding handlebars.. had to sell my old scooter because the handle bars would come loosely too much.
Yes @G Villanueva... those Xtasy Bars are liked by some and hated by others. I'm not a big Fan of the
Xtasy Bars either... the ONLY real advantage is the "Portability"

Bars should be easily swappable since that looks like a standard mtb headset and stem

Man you are strong. I couldn t lift it it out of the package on my own. My cousin helped me! But I am short, only 5 7 inches, maybe that s a thing. Like your videos and subscribed. Also, I am hyped because I bought it today for 1600 euros in Romania, cheaper than the thunder 2 or spider for example; and I also have a dualtron popular and I wanted something more powerful and wider to stand on. In comparison with the popular was it a good choise? I know its different. For the money I only had the option to buy the langfeite c5, but the specs are not close to this one.

The only thing that I don't like about the scooter is how low the deck is to the ground. Tho I did see information about adjusting the height of the suspension or idk if it effects the height of the deck to the ground. But can't complain about the price it's too good to be true the first mid range scooter ever and light weight with a 72v battery.

I have been riding this Scooter while driving to meetings across this country right now and I have had opportunities to run it hard and its Controller and Battery doesn't over heat at all.
I truly believe MiniMotors did a great job on this Brand and with all the goodies... it is reasonably priced.
I think you'll be very happy with it.

My favorite eScooter of the 32 I've purchased and own is, The Dualtron X 2. I just have not found ANY Scooter that can compare or top the DTX 2 overall... Apples to Apples.
There are a lot of great eScooters out there and it is very difficult to accurately suggest which is best for any individual without knowing...

That's one of the Scooters that was waiting on me to return home. I had several Scooter packages waiting for me to come home, off of my two Month Tour.
I need two-to-three days of rest, but I have been so busy catching up around the house, that it hasnt come together as i envisioned.
I literally thought it was 4pm, but it was actually 4am this morning. Messed me all the way up. Driving through the night and sleeping in the day has got my rhythm completely off.

BlueTran Lightning seems to be good bang for buck in terms of performance.. but(after doing more research):
I'm bit worried the overall quality especially considering that it's a high performance and still pretty expensive scooter..
i.e. u don't want to get into an accident on a high performance scooter due to poor quality & also don't want any issues on expensive scooter.
Why did DualTron bother making another brand, rather than just selling it as value performance model under DualTron name..
Maybe they were worried about damaging their reputation with poor quality product?
How were those dual air shocks? Bouncy or stiff?

Of course because I am subject to always Amp up my speed on any given Ride, I prefer a stiffer Ride.
So I will be looking to stiffen it up for sure. It was good enough for me to get 48mph on my test Ride during this video outro.

It is said to get 55+mph, suggested by the Manufacturer.

I easily got this Scooter between 47mph & 49mph during my test Ride and im 240lbs of 6'1" LOAD.
So don't say "Y'ALL be TALKIN BOUT" cause OhManDan NEVER CLAIMED that the BlueTran Lightning was a Beginner's eScooter. The Mini Limited on the other hand is the best contender and choice in MiniMotor's lineup for a Beginner to delve into.

When you consider the cost of Dualtrons and the Build of this Scoot... it is pretty reasonably priced in its Class at $3099.
You can literally keep up with most Power Scooter Group Rides at 50+mph. I got it to 48mph in the Video. And it was very comfy and Stable.
You know they also have the same Scoot in 32Ah and 26Ah versions at lower Price points?

I am actually upset that this has the best suspension mechanics of any other dualtron, and I am especially upset that something like this is not on the Storm Limited.
Literally furious. If they had the ability all along to actually make good headtube geometry and not awful and stupid suspension, I'd have waited until they implemented it on the Storm Limited before I bought one.
I don't know if one is worst than the other or not but it sure does beg to question MiniMotors' abilities and timing. I think both suspensions are not at the top possibilities but ike you, I can forgive the BlueTran more than the Storm LTD because of the cost.
