I will never not watch a Dslyecxi video. He deserves far more subscribers and views then he gets. His videos never feature clickbait or some other cringy behavior. It's just him and this amazing community of people who truly seem to have a good time playing together. I hope I don't come across as cringy or overdramatic by saying that I will always enjoy your content and that you have earned a fan for life. Never stop these awesome videos my dude.
This means a lot to hear, as those aspects you're citing are ones I believe strongly in and it's rewarding to see others finding significance and appeal in them.

I like watching your videos Dslyecxi and enjoy seeing new landscapes that your community fights in but there are times like this one that I wish I knew which map/mod your playing on as I would like to include it in my inventory of maps for my own scenarios. Is there a way you could start leaving the name of the maps in the description so that others can easily relocate the map for download. Thanks. I understand that may be extra work on your end but would nevertheless greatly appreciated. If it wasn't for you I never would have discovered Arma 3. Keep rocking on!

@@codyelder9201 So you're aware: I stopped putting terrain names in the intro once we had the terrain name display on the map screen. Every time I open the map you can see what the name of that terrain is in the top bar.

What really got me in this vid, was at the beginning and you could hear some guy saying "second chopper!!". And Dslyecxi, I want to challenge you to "fly off", you pull out your best 10 helo moves and I do the same... and hopefully not lose too bad.

Challenge and excitement, basically. If the second helo had made it I'm fairly sure the ground guys would've won that fight.

Awesome mission as always, good comms and good flying. I think I will be buying a gaming PC and getting ARMA 3. The HAF was busy on this one. Was having only a 3 ship considered and let the other 2 be dedicated CAS considered? Just curious.

he's using a Joystick i do it with a controller its so much better than M&K
@@foxtrotsierraproductions8626 Yeah you can never properly stabilize with the keyboard, especially in the little bird. I always end up drifting horribly if I don't slam it onto the ground right as I flare.
@@foxtrotsierraproductions8626 Using a gamepad is acceptable as well. A dedicated joystick is significantly better though.

Dslyecxi, apologies if you have covered this before, or if somebody else has asked or even, if this is common knowledge. 5 minutes in, there is a white square which changes to a circle. Is the that where the co-pilot is looking/marking? if so, what mod is it please? Great work/play with vids and content. Keep it up.

Oh heavens no, You can't see it at this distances but just as phantom 2 started up and forwards, it collected and ground me into that rampart before it got full vertical. Someone got me to stable but unconscious, but uh, yeah I was out there for like a full 5 or 6 minutes being overrun.

You make that look easy. I can't even land the Huey in DCS without it flipping over.
Because it is easy, that's if you practice a lot. :)
I practiced flying a 737 for two months on X-Plane 11 and it gets easier as you get more experienced.
Flying the UH-1 in DCS and flying the MH-6 in Arma are two very different beasts. Arma is a lot easier, and the MH-6 is arguably the easiest aircraft in the game to fly. It's incredibly nimble, which allows it to do the kinds of hairpin turns you see in this video, and to correct quickly if you push it too far.
@@AdmiralKarelia ^ yeah tbh he has a point, Arma is a game when DCS is almost real life, I say almost because it's in a PC and not in real life.
I haven't tried out DCS before but judging from videos I've seen it's more monitoring your instruments pushing buttons and flipping switches in your cockpit than actually flying the aircraft.
Any chance we will see a mission on the new Cham map?

If I was to get this game, what would be suggested for DLC packs?
I suspect Zeus healed the driver of the red pickup, because it hit a few hard objects pretty fast! Was like you were playing police. Which is fun and more challenging. Overall pro mission!

The bottom one is from the ShackTac HUD, you can find it on the Steam workshop.

Track IR he has a video about his motion tracking gear.
Track IR or similar devices will make flying a pleasure. It's basically an infrared camera that sits on your desk or monitor and a clip the clips on your headphones with 3 little positional lights that the camera tracks.
Like using Uber in Miami except more bullets would be flying.

Even when not running mods I believe their standard is to not run advanced flight model. As I understand it, they don't find the extra flight detail to improve the experience for their group.

Arma3 is nice for ground gameplay but when you start playing DCS world, the flying in arma 3 becomes sooooo boring .
It *absolutely* does not for me. I fly plenty of DCS and helo operations in it involve shuttling around AI in situations that are nowhere *near* as dynamic as this. Arma's ability to meld a good-enough flight representation with interaction with actual people as passengers makes it feel far more alive than DCS has yet been able to achieve.
@@dslyecxi I know arma and what it can do i love that game, but i was strictly talking about details and weapon systems, flight model and such. Sure doing ops with people will always remain a lots of fun ofc.

You guys keep saying "Copy" I'm not sure you're using it correctly. Recept of Radio messages in the affirmative are responded to by using the proword "Roger". "Copy" is not even a pro word, but saying it implies you have written down what has been said. "Roger, Copy" I highly doubt people who use the Singular "Copy" have actually written anything down in this instance.
