I'm new to International Tractors and this is the best informational video for the inside cab gadget controls. I was shocked to find no air dump mechanism for this Tractors!! What the hell was International thinking?? Thank you for the info, very very helpful.
You can lift the the bottom bunk to access the storage compartments. There is a lever on the right underside. You push that to lift the bottom bunk. Cheers🇬🇧
Mine is just like yours except for the mileage distance.... And I agree about the 8th gear not able to use manual.. those are the gears u want to use goin up and downhill
Would you recommend buying brand new LT with new powertrain S13 and new T14 transmission? International getting new engine and new transmission from scania, that’s newest scania engine and transmission I head it should be very economical on fuel, but I’m worry little bit about international build quality.
it isnt a bad truck for fleet operations. i simply love my vnl860 though. also, cant you find a way to mount that fridge on the top bunk ? it has seat belts up there..i am sure you can find a way to do it.
It does have seat belts on the top bunk. I have to leave the top bunk open because I train new drivers and my wift comes out with me sometimes. I like them VNL860 havent drove one yet.
@@TruckerSaLer they are like all volvos for the last few years. gobs of storage plus a kitchen table. i leave my table in place and use the top bunk with an air mattress...didnt know you were a trainer. that makes a big difference... i will say this about the LT. if i had to drive a Lt or a volvo with more than 500k on the clock, it would be the Lt...volvo's seem to have electrical problems that never seem to end after 450k miles
That truck did not have the lane departure system just the automatic Cruise control and collision mitigation system. I'm not sure how to turn it off on a International. Sorry I can not be any more help for you
I'm currently driving a 2019 as a loaner. Miserable POS, none of the panels fit, all of the doors just swing open on their own, and the roof is metal. The engine pulls, cummins x15, but makes a ridiculous amount of noise to the point that I can hear it through my headphones, which I don't want. Ever tried sleeping under a metal roof in a rain storm? I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY 2017 CASCADIA BACK FROM THE SHOP, because this truck is just a miserable pile.
I like the metal roof but it like sleeping in a house with a metal roof doesn't bother me. Yeah a Cummins pulls why better then any of the dd15 I have been in but it is louder but it never bother me . Now with the doors not staying shut mine never had that problem I would say it's because it's a loner truck. But yes I like KW, Peterbilt, and Freightliner over the International. But the new LT is way better the the older prostars. Like a lot better
im using a loaner from Penske it has 40 k miles the steering wheel is nearly at 3 oclock. seats are horrible, makes a million noises, beeps, buzzers, auto shifts jerky. pos. hate it. always hated internationals and I continue to
The steering is great. And yes the front sensor does like to go off when it picks up a shadow from a over pass or a sign thats over the road. Hell mine has pick up on a shadow from a Cloud that cast a big shadow before. It is Worst at dawn, noon, and dusk. But if it didnt have that front sensor and was a manual i love this truck. It is Leaps and bounds better then the old Pro Star.
It all depends on how your company has it set up or how it is set up from the factory. Sometimes around the 5 min of idling a light may come up on the dash and you can press the accelerator pedal and that might work. But it might not. Hope this helps.
That was like 19in tall 15in wide and 12in deep. I think it died on my like 4 months ago and i got a new that is alittle bigger. But both of them came from Walmart.

ok guys i just got the truck 2 weeks precise and was wondering how i could but a microwave in it. is there a built in power inverter and apu cause i couldnt find it. thanks
If it has a inverter Built in it would be under the bunk or between one of the cabinet and bed. If you dont see ac wall plug or the inverter in one of them spots it might not have one. My company put one in it when they got it.
Why don't you put your fridge on top bunk as I did in the left corner. I just used a ratchet strap wrapped around the whole bunk and over the fridge. If it won't for try turning it on its side than upright it.
On average i get 7.5 to 8 but sometimes it was 6 and sometimes it was 10. Just depends on weight of the load and if i was in the mountains or flat ground
On the first trip reset it every day when you start and you will see it change the MPG then you can see what your getting every day thats what i did. Because i use the first trip for my daily mileage and the second one for my mileage for the week so i can see how many miles i driver a day and in the pay period
@@TruckerSaLer I pretty much do something very similar to that already. At the beginning of each load I reset trip number one. Then at the beginning of each month I reset trip number two. This way I have my average mpg for each month and I can see what I'm getting for each load. My average for this month is 6.3. It's okay with me overall I'm doing fine but I guarantee I will not be getting my fuel bonus this quarter
