15:11 omg, thank you! I had no idea there was a minikit there. there was no indication of its existence even from the minikit detector red hat. this has saved me from the pain of needing to start a new game file because I thought it was just a glitch.
pro tip for getting minikit #3, its kinda bugged on PC for whatever reason so if you're having trouble jumping up to the mast, the easy way is once your character has finished climbing the rope up to the mast, dont move, like once they jump up to the bar dont move and just spam jump with a female character, i did it with elizabeth,

In the video you commented on how many studs we've earned when it was all said and done. With all the multipliers, I have almost 7 Billion studs. That is just what I ended up with after playing all 20 levels and doing the next 8 free play levels. I stopped turning on the multipliers cause I ran out of things to buy!Love these videos! I thought my game had bugged so restarted.... I came here to double check and now I'm upset EDIT: for some reason I don't know if this is a playstation 3 thing, vs the 360 but the doorways on either side of the room that show the outside in the video are covered by actual doors in my version so I didn't know it was another area, and since the game registers it as a separate area, the minikit arrow doesn't direct you outside... so I'm still upset but more angry now than sad, as I couldn't tell just now replaying the level that it was a door and I'm watching this at the same time... I swear this game goes out of its way to make these things impossible to find... I replayed the last level on the first film 4 times trying to find the cave to lead me outside... ffs

Any advice what to do if the key wasn't obtained during story mode? I'm trying to hit 100% but I think there's a glitch with my game and won't let me get it:(
I had the same issue and figured out. You can do either mode. The thing u have to do is, right before the very final thing where Davy Jones is at the organ, have Captain Jack search for the key. It’s one step in front of Davy Jones, like a millimeter before where the final cutscene will trigger.
I don't know if it is just a Wii thing, but I had to be in Jack compass mode during that last part (with the X glowing up at the front) in order for the key to count.
Im sooo mad I've played this level so many times only to figure out the tenth one was the one I was missing,, I didn't know if you turned the wheels enough times there'd be a boat 😔😔
+Colleen Mitchell I grabbed this from our Lego Pirates Trophy/Achievement guide on our website: When you go back and play the chapters in free play if you hit L2 or R2 you will cycle through a bunch of characters that aren’t on the characters list. Each chapter has a few different characters so you will not unlock this until the last chapter of the game. Have you tried a system restart? A restart will often fix loading bugs/glitches like it seems you found. I would try that before giving up or starting all over. Fingers crossed it does the trick for ya!
@@HappyThumbsGaming thank you for the suggestions! though ive already found out what the issue was since then. it was a different minikit that i actually didnt collect. in my defense though, a blue stud didnt appear in its place so i guess that part actually was bugged out, but everything is good now 👍 love your pirates videos btw
The puzzle at the end is so fucking annoying. And I’m 47 years old. And this is a game from 2011 that’s literally 12 years old now! The AI buddy is so bad in the Wii version. I literally do as you show and my buddy literally goes to the wrong fucking tile! I ultimately just rage quitted and threw my sons Wii across the living room. (My son is in college so he doesn’t care).
HappyThumbsGaming at first I wasn't too fond of it but it ended up being really useful for getting me 24 gold brick (for the really bad custom characters)
