I made slip bobbers out of styrofoam balls which I found on ebay. I melt a hole through the center with a heated coat hanger wire and run a plastic tube through it (salvaged from an empty spray bottle, such as windex etc) I anchor the ends with hot glue. They work really well and are easy to cast.
Awesome idea man. I made them with a pool noodle, bottle cap on each end and a Capri Sun straw going through them and hot glued everything. Its too light and catches alot of wind when casting. But it works so i didn't modify. I am definitely going to make some of these.
That is slick I’ve always wanted to build some but never could figure out what to use for the small tube on the inside I love fishing big ole bluegill suspended under this style of float!
thank you for sharing...was on my list of things to do was float fishing for channels... did not get this done... but will try this construction for next season! Like#3 Subscribed #44
@@loveshinebright1052 I did not link it as there are several suppliers that make the closed cell foam. They are all good products so I did not want everyone to think I was endorsing one product only😁
@@infinityoutdoorstx5589 ok cause i made some from pool noodless and they end'ed up absorbing water after a while and started falling apart i like them better than bulsa floats also have sold some to other fisherman
@@strengthstuff7618 the closed cell noodles will not absorb water like the cheep pool noodles do. I have some I have been using for 3 or for years with no issues
I think this is the best I have seen on this topic.

I like the rack that holds your spools of fishing line on the wall
Thanks it is a paper towel rack that I repurposed
What do you use for a bobber stop on your line? To set depth
Just normal plastic bobber stops. I buy them in bulk off amazon

Fishing With Slip! Awesome thank you for the sub.
Thanks for the info.👍
You bet!
where can I find that type of foam noodle?
I ordered the in bulk from Amazon. Just search for closed cell foam pool noddles.
These are for flathead fishing??
They can be used for any type of fish. I use the for catfish and bass floating live bluegill
seems I am going to change from balloons to noodles for my float fishing....Thanks
Awesome. Enjoy
What do you use as a float stop? Say if you want to fish 10 ft deep?
I use a normal rubber bobber stop and bead just like setting up a slip float rig for crappie
@@infinityoutdoorstx5589 ok. Thank you!
I guess with the slip bobbers you made you can put lead pellets to make some rattle
Yes sir you can
That’s a good idea.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Where do you get those closed cell noodles?
I order them off Amazon. The close cell ones will have it listed in the descriptions
I also have the same questions and it wasn't linked in description. Great idea making these

Cool video and channel...love your content! I'm all signed up :-) Have a great day

Coffee stirrers work great stolen from fish n stuff
What size is the pvc pipe?
I match it to the hole in the noodles. Most are 1/2 or 3/4 inch
I make mine extremely fast cut pool noodle take bottle of soda caps 2 super glue them to each end and drill a 1/¹⁶ hole on both sides.

They do but I found the do not last very long. The aquarium tubing will last almost forever.
