In this video, we remove the 670cc V Twin's governor, giving us more RPM and speed, we put it on a chassis dyno to see how much power and torque it makes at the wheels, and we fabricate a wheelie bar for it!

Hey you guys do good videos, but can you PLEASE normalize the audio on them? I keep getting my ears blown out every time. I have to turn it up to hear what you're saying, and then it suddenly gets LOUD AS SHIT.

Yes, normalizing would do wonders for my ears too.
It would even make a big difference for anyone not having to touch your audio. I even have problems watching on a cellphone

Why would you put a smaller sprocket on it? I understand you want to race the corvette but doing all those wheelies has to be much more fun
That thing needs to be cammed like the dragster. The idle on the dragster is just mean. Gives my the shivers....LOVE the sound of that idle.
Ah man, I wish that I could act like a kid like this. That has GOT to be so much fun. Fast toys and machinery is right up my alley. I have followed this build and I'm dying watching Ike flying around on that thing. Awesome work guys!

Lookin good guys! Here are three thoughts:
1) There are 36 tooth and 48 tooth solid steel 40/41/420p sprockets, they are probably the only ones that will hold up to the torque.
2) Race karts set their clutches to engage at the peak torque output of the engine. If you are going to want the fastest acceleration, you might want to look at swapping out the roller cams and springs on the drive unit of the torque converter to engage at a higher rpm to help compensate for the lower torque at wheels at the standard engagement RPM's. I'd check MFG supply for those.
3) If the torque converter didn't come with a belt that says "comet" on it, the belt will have less surface area to grip, resulting in loss of power to the wheels. The chinese knock off belts are the same width, but not as thick. A genuine comet belt will outperform a Chinese made belt every time because it is thicker (not wider).

With a torque converter, you set for max HP RPMs... not max torque RPMs...

nice build, i have a garden tractor or lawn tractor that now i want to put that engine and torque converter in. i love the amount of power it makes!! and for the turning wheelies i beleive that is from one tire heating up faster than the other causing more traction on one wheel

that wheelie bar was actually pretty nice. a little more paint and a couple of fancy skateboard wheels and you're in. It functions, that's the main thing.

You could grind some metal off of the weights on the governor. That would increase the rpm and you would prevent floating the valves and spitting out a keeper. I love this video!

problem im having is finding a tc for a 25hp briggs.
they are expensive. we got ours at gopowersports but i think its rated at 16 hp. we are pushing 20 hp with 40 foot pounds of torque at the wheels. so far its holding up great. its around 400 bucks i think

Forget about getting a smaller sprocket, it's geared PERFECTLY, as you can clearly see by those straight COSMICALLY EPIC wheelies! She just needs more top end with a bigger main jet first, air filter mod, and straight pipe and she'll be sailing like no other! If that doesn't get you some deadly top speed, just say "it'll be fine." and turbo the bitch! lol
