Wonderful outcome. As for the original, I actually have this model in this "horrible"color, and absolutely LOVE IT. Don't put that brown color down. It's retroliciously deep and beautiful!
Hi,wat aawesome job you did on this Porsche, the paintwork is brilliant,i like the lights and the indicators nice detail,i do like the start of the video.
Hi Martin,,, Really nice work,,Thanx for explaining the plasticine and splitpin mod as I need to do a pillar on the Matchbox Diplomat,,thoroughly enjoy your vid's,,
...and another one finished. You are becoming a master at it. Now, what do you plan on doing with all this diecasts? Are you displaying them or giving them away to your gran kids?
Nice one m8, I am hoping to snag a Scammell Scarab in my hunts and have it in proper "blood and custard" BR livery as I remember them as a kid and prob where my love o' three wheelers came from hehe Have you tried them Vix Bits yet? Abs brilliant bit o' kit and no wandering on the rivets making for a nice clean straight hole. I have been making a pair of Marty's wheel hubber's then after doing so found a box full of rivet snaps which do the same thing lol
Never mentioned it Martin, but Carl, my great friend and mentor started out at school buying Dinky toys for a penny, painting them and selling them for 3 pence. He came to Ulceby in 1947, the year I was born. By then he'd almost £1000 from dealing, a lot of money. Bought himself a yank, like a 17 year old buying a Ferrari today.
Great custom job👍.......Seems like when ever I see these porsches restored they're painted black though. It'd be nice to have one painted in a different colour like aqua blue or something
I drove and worked on 911's with the main dealers in the 1980's and the brown colour with contrasting upholstery was very popular and was used on many German cars at the time. Bloody awful pedals like on a VW Beetle hinged at the bottom.
Since it's now I custom why don't you put some custom wheels on it? There are so many options that would improve the look of it. Just like real cars. Stock wheels suck. The paint and body w work look great.
OK folks, nothing to see here, there is no *original content* here. This guy just looks around TH-cam, finds popular restoration videos and *tries* to copy them, then he does a lousy job at the restoration. It is a TH-cam *creator* , not TH-cam copier.
@@retrorestore don't bother replying to trolls Martin they are not worth the effort, your stuff is great to watch including retrohax. Besides you are the only southpaw (as far as I can tell) who is doing this so your content is unique.
A pillar repair looked spot on. Nice job.
Wonderful outcome.

Yes, it goes rock hard instantly and you can file and drill it.

That colour is replicating the 1975 Carrera RS (turbo bodied) not lightweight version, came in metallic green and 💩 brown, great retro colours 👍🏻

It has a. Very realistic look to the casting very similar to the real body love it it's beauty

Why the baking soda?
It reacts with superglue and goes rock hard.
Cool video Martin as always, do you still do vinyl stickers Martin ? Need some for my van

Not sure yet. They are all sitting safely at the moment awaiting a decision.

Wow, great story Malc.
@@retrorestore Cheers Mate - it's true.
A brown 911 .... ? A brown Volvo wagon sure ... but not a Porsche 911 ! Great job on the restoration !
Porsche did a real 928 in metallic brown! They called it some sort of bronze I think
Good job, when you first put in the pillar, it looked slightly off, but I see its lined up nicely. 😎
I built up the superglue and baking soda to contour it to the correct shape.
If I remember, these rolled very well
Great custom job👍.......Seems like when ever I see these porsches restored they're painted black though. It'd be nice to have one painted in a different colour like aqua blue or something
That's shiny shiny
first nice job
Molto bravo Martin.
I restauri che preferisco per me comunque sono i tagliaerba 😉
Farò presto altri tosaerba. saluti Martin
@@retrorestore Bravooooo !!! 👍👍👍
Martin!!! Black wheels again 🤔...what’s wrong with nice Silver wheels?? 😞
Can't do everything the same Bri lol
I’ll be watching your next restoration with anticipation and hoping for silver wheels 😁
people would've paid good money for the brown turd colour (full size version) ... looks much better in black! good job...
Is that the official colour (brown turd) lol
Boom🙌🏽
Thank you so much, much nicer than that awful brown color. Take care as always from South Africa
Thanks Val.
Who buys a brown Porsche? Ford Cortina mk4 looked good in brown tho. Nice Job Martin.
Nice one Dave.
Brown was popular in the 1970's even in a car like a Porsche.
