Would love to see a twin locked gu coil Ute or wagon. with a supercharged engine swapped y62 vk56vd in a manual 6 speed be a awesome rig. How is the np navara engine swap going?
Love that Y62 on 35s with the stock suspension that Steve is driving. What offset is he running on those wheels? They tuck perfectly into the wheel wells with no rubbing.

(not that I care, just interesting to know if possible) I'm considering purchasing a 2nd hand Y62 and would love a 'simplified' version of what needs to be done, in NSW, to have a 2" lift, 35's legal, and 4085kg GVM upgrade ie. Billet arms, Long range tank etc. etc. Thanks
Georges recovery made me cringe. With any recovery it is wise to have one person in charge. Obviously they can take advise from others but just one call the shots instead of everyone having a say. That just bcomes confusing. One of the first rules is to just sit for a bit and take it all in maybe over a beer or water and then work the plan from there. I wasnt there but I think there may have been a better way with less chance of damage or potential damage.
Yeah it’s always hard but some great heads about, the fact I was hung up pretty badly on my centre muffler and gravelly surface meant we either pulled up or tried to pull back down. Right or wrong we got the big girl up and lived to see another day 👍❤️
I’d take the TB48 over the TD42 any day of the week. But in saying that, the VK56 trumps them all. Someone will eventually do a portal axle conversion on these Y62s which would be bloody amazing.

The one inch lift and 35s on your 62 goes well. It retains a little more wheel travel over the 2in lift.

George is running a 2” LCA lift plus 40mm coil / k frame spacer lift on 35” Yokohama’s 👌

It’s a real shame . The y62 is a nice CAR but it will never be in the same league off-road as the legendary y61 GU solid axle 4.2 turbo deisel
