- Once again we have the best of e best Y62’s out hitting the tracks at Loveday 4x4 Adventure park. People have travelled for Vic and even NSW to represent here today. We have perfect weather, and a great backdrop for another Y62 adventure.

Gotta love Loveday! We put our stock NA 08 cruiser through every challenge without an issue (other than some ‘u-shape’ side steps 😂). Can’t wait to head back soon. Cheers for the content.

Love that Y62 on 35s with the stock suspension that Steve is driving. What offset is he running on those wheels? They tuck perfectly into the wheel wells with no rubbing.

The one inch lift and 35s on your 62 goes well. It retains a little more wheel travel over the 2in lift.

Georges recovery made me cringe. With any recovery it is wise to have one person in charge. Obviously they can take advise from others but just one call the shots instead of everyone having a say. That just bcomes confusing. One of the first rules is to just sit for a bit and take it all in maybe over a beer or water and then work the plan from there. I wasnt there but I think there may have been a better way with less chance of damage or potential damage.
Yeah it’s always hard but some great heads about, the fact I was hung up pretty badly on my centre muffler and gravelly surface meant we either pulled up or tried to pull back down. Right or wrong we got the big girl up and lived to see another day 👍❤️
I remember that far left line from about 8 years ago, it was tricky then, looks way more rutted out now.
Any damage to the rig that got stuck?
Yeah mate, munted the centre muffler pretty badly. 🤦🏻🤣🤣

George is running a 2” LCA lift plus 40mm coil / k frame spacer lift on 35” Yokohama’s 👌

I'm considering purchasing a 2nd hand Y62 and would love a 'simplified' version of what needs to be done, in NSW, to have a 2" lift, 35's legal, and 4085kg GVM upgrade ie. Billet arms, Long range tank etc. etc.

The answer to the question is no. The Y62 is not good off-road. It is great off-road!

It’s a real shame . The y62 is a nice CAR but it will never be in the same league off-road as the legendary y61 GU solid axle 4.2 turbo deisel

I’d take the TB48 over the TD42 any day of the week. But in saying that, the VK56 trumps them all. Someone will eventually do a portal axle conversion on these Y62s which would be bloody amazing.
@@shaunwhite4338 just taking the piss mate,I’ve owned both and still have the y62.both great in there own way although I can’t get enough of the v8,it’s a great engine
