Do the ND MX-5s typically out perform the gen 1 BRZ FRS's?

Yes, The ND out performs both the Gen 1 BRZ and Gen 2 BRZ. The ND is in a class called STR and at this event the fastest time was a 112.523 run by Tim Aero in an ND2. The STR class also has Gen 2 BRZs and the fastest driver ran a 114.457. So the fastest Gen 2 twin was in 9th of 16 drivers. The fastest Gen 1 twins run in a class called STX. The fastest driver in STX Gen 1 BRZ ran a 114.322. These classes STR and STX allow for coil overs, sway bars, headers, tunes, bigger wheels and tires.
They also run in street classes which are very limited mods. At this event the the C-Street ND2 ran a 113.896 while the D-Street Gen2 Twin ran a 115.573. (Both very good drivers)
Long story short for autocross the ND2 out performs the twins. However; outside of raw times the twins are great cars. I prefer them for daily driving and track events. Also rumbles sounds better than a pack of bees. :)

@@gregory549 Awesome information, big thanks. I kinda figured the ND MX-5's were the superior choice as it related to auto-x. I do however like my 86 for track work vs an ND. Both great chassis.
