Other cheeses come that way but as flats and chat we're pointing out "real American cheese" isn't usually grated when bought
I used to work at a deli and we had white American cheese with jalapenos in it and we marketed it as pepper jack. i hated it. i would always warn customers it wasn't actually monterey jack cheese. The jalapeno American was pretty decent, but the false advertising was just bad.

@@MT_FIN number one looked dry af and the cheese looked like 3 day old pizza cheese. In all honesty all 3 other them had weird ass mac and cheese none of them actually had a good looking mac after baking.

To me panko or any bread crumbs is a SIN on macaroni and cheese and I will always boo if I see it on top.

I wish flats could taste what REALLY cheese is (Saying this as a french). unjust bans in the US because the cheeses use unpasteurized milk with the "Huh risk amd all" is just because there's been americans keeping a cheese for as long as possible and died. Same as kinder surprises. Some kid must have choked because he swallowed the whole thing and his karen if a mother sued.
