Talking about just making the content better might seem dumb but its so true. The simple action of laminating sheets of paper with ingredients, getting that dice tower thing (i dont play dnd idk what that thing is) and bettering the audio quality makes the whole series so much better.

i saw someone else make a food suggestion, so flats, try a fried glazed donut. cut the donut in half horizontally, butter the pan (or the donut), and fry it up. the sugar caramelizes a little and it becomes sticky goodness.
apparently, this is something my grandfather showed my dad. he died the year i was born and i never got to meet him, so i have a nice fried donut in his memory every now and then

@@rhys2839 why not? Metal can always be sharpened? You're just realigning and shaving the edge? Ceramic knives likely can't be, but those tend to get broken long before they dull.

Flats, if your knives are dull you can sharpen them. You should always have sharp knives. Dull knives are very dangerous. Even just one of those little hand held knife sharpeners for like $10 on Amazon will help you. See if you can find a butcher in your area who will sharpen your knives for you to start, that way you can focus on maintenance. Please, Flats, take care of your knives and they will take care of you.

On the liver sausage - it's pretty good, and it has a lot of iron in it. As someone who's anemic, it's a great pick me up when I'm running low. It's also the sort of thing people came up with to not waste too many good parts of their livestock, in some cultures that's the only way you can get vital nutrients. Organ meats in general are really good for you but typically in small doses.
Fun side fact, a polar bear's liver has enough of some compound [I don't remember which] to outright kill you if you try to eat the whole thing.
I had a sandwich with cucumber and jelly once because I didn't look at what I was eating since it was leftover from a friendly gathering my mother had went to. I believe it also had ham, some other mostly water vegetables, and maybe a low intensity cheese on it. Normally I don't like cucumbers, I vastly prefer pickles, but man that was a good sandwich.
I also remember being the strangest child because I would make a PB&J (smooth PB, I can't stand the texture of crunchy, texture is the only thing that deters me from most foods) but slide in a slice of swiss cheese. I do not know why. I was a fucked up pre-teen.
Not diagnosing but texture issues can be a sign of autism or ADHD
Texture issues are absolutely not something you should go off for that because everyone has food textures they like and dislike, especially preferences. As a matter of fact, there's a common belief of the professionals that anything can be prepared in a way that you would enjoy it, so long as you aren't averse to the texture or have the mindset of "this is gross I won't eat it".
I just dislike crunchy PB texture because I think the contrast it has within itself is awful.
I am the opposite and strongly prefer crunchy. I love texture contrasts. A sharp or strong cheese paired with something sweet like jam or jelly actually makes sense. Think apples and cheddar. The addition of the nutty peanut butter to the mix just turns it into a triple threat of delicious. Especially given Swiss has a bit of nutty flavour itself.

ok look. heres the thing about liver sausage. when its a good brand its good and mild, when its bad its so strong and terrible. I recommend Usingers brand ifyou can find it its the best i can find

you should invest in a knife sharpener. believe it or not, full knives are more dangerous than sharp ones because you have to apply a lot more pressure to cut food than with sharp ones, and if it slips you’re at a higher risk of injury. sharp knives leave clean cuts.
they keep mentioning the metallic after taste. as a massive braunschweiger fan, i can guarantee i've never had any braunschweiger that has a metallic after taste.. just throwing that out there. hopefully flats sees this. TRY IT ITS YUM
It actually does have a slight metallic taste to it if it is American. In the US it is made with Pork Liver which can have a bit of a metallic twang especially in low quality products. If you are someone who consumes the European varieties it is made a bit different from what I recall.
Liver is high in iron and where the metallic after taste comes from.
