Man this is one of the best gameplay videos I have ever seen. Simplistic yet mature edititing plus superb commentary. Im looking to seeing more videos from you mane.
there's always a moment in a Tim Rogers video where I laugh uncontrollably at a simple joke. In this video, it was the carrot. I am comforted that Tim also laughed extremely hard at the same thing.
Great video - i especially liked the analysis of the half opened chewing tobacco containers and the horse crash. Tim Rogers is a gem, and i hugely enjoyed this - especially since i wont be able to play it for at least 4 weeks!
Tim, your review made me buy dragon quest and this video garunteed I pre-ordered red dead and I'm hype as hell... Keep doing what you're doing and I'll be able to like Kotaku videos lol
Clicking a gimmicky little like button feels like an affront to this review which is basically a work of art. Imagine the Mona Lisa having like/dislike buttons in front of it at The Louvre.
You're the best Game Critic/reviewer/Let's play'r I've ever encountered. It's funny and easy to get hooked even if you're not even looking for nor are interested in the game review itself. hehe
I knew that if Tim had put together a video of any kind for this game, I was going to end up buying it. (Not really into RDR) I saw that you made a video on RDR2 Tim. I'm buying it. Goddamnit...
I just came here to leave a like, Tim Rogers and RDR2 is just enough to leave a like before watching, will watch later after I get the game a play and bit.
I see your eye floaters and raise you bright white lighting will give me full blown migraines, bonus points for when its from a flash bang you had no idea was coming
On third thought, watching you casually push a man over, with your horse Idjit, as he screamed "hellfire" will most likely be the funniest thing I will ever see until the day I die.
3:40-4:04 This is exactly what my mind does all the time. I tried writing it out recently, like stream of consciousness stuff, just for the heck of it. The person who read it just said "holy shit." Also, the Rockstar burn at the end was nice. 👌
So far, the only suggestion/critic I would have, would be the option to put your hands up and surrender to the lawman, with the possibility to pay fine, bargain, go to prison, etc... The game seems very, very close to perfection.
Wish skinning a deer was as easy as this, it's like a deernana. The real intense part is cleaning it. I guess that's RDR3. I still remember the first time you see Tywin Lannister in GOT. That was realistic and a great way to introduce the character.
@@kotaku Yeah, I saw that. I was surprised to hear he only learned something like that day. When I first saw it I figured he was an English hunter. A testament to his skill as an actor, it can be a nasty job. Anyways great video keep up the good work.
I played all weekend (probably about 35-40 hours at this point) and I just got to the end of the game. The ONLY THING I DID WAS PLAY STORY MISSIONS! I didn’t do any optional side activities. Jesus this is a beautifully long game.
Arthur's dad wasn't in his life much at all and was killed in front of him but Arthur wears his father's gambling hat. His mother had died and he keeps a picture of her in his tent.
Tim Rogers, thank you for protecting me from spoilers. I will play this game, then come back for the other 40 minutes of Tim Rogers that my entitlement informs me is due to me. Have a good day, sir.
Kotaku, accurately label your videos when it's Tim Rogers. I ignored this video for a good 22 minutes because I thought it was just a regular Let's Play with some other staff members talking over unedited gameplay.
he literally makes the best reviews
This however, is not a review ;)
@@joonson52 beat me to it
The writing on these is consistently gold and chuckle worthy. Keep doing what you are doing man, love every second and the formatting is perfect.
Dutch: "I haven't slept in 3 days" Tim: "Wow! Does Dutch work for Rockstar Games?" Sick burn Tim xD
Well from a certain point of viev Dutch really works for Rockstar Games XD
Yo Tim, I really appreciate the time and effort that you put into your videos. Thanks!
This video is the gran turismo of red dead videos.
that rockstar crunch joke was good.
42 minutes of Mr Rogers. Today is a good day.
Man this is one of the best gameplay videos I have ever seen.
Simplistic yet mature edititing plus superb commentary.
Im looking to seeing more videos from you mane.
check out my playlist, which has like 98 more videos in it :-D
@@kotaku already on it 🤙
This might be the greatest commentary I’ve ever heard. You’ve earned my subscription sir!

Vernon Laquindanum me too, I lost it at the carrot.
Mine was when he revealed that his horse’s name was Bloppy lol

I laugh constantly with your videos... love the style and I think you're awesome. Well done.
Looks exactly like a Nintendo 64 game!

u have become my favorite reviewer of games... yes I know this is not a review but after watching the forza one... now this keep it up
37:19 Tim's love of holding up on ridges is so infectious I love holding up on ridges now.
I’m just getting into this game now. It’s fantastic. I appreciate your videos man. And you and I are the same age, so I find your insights relatable.
This is one of the funniest videos I've ever seen on YT. How have I just now discovered this virtuous gentleman?
You're the best Game Critic/reviewer/Let's play'r I've ever encountered. It's funny and easy to get hooked even if you're not even looking for nor are interested in the game review itself. hehe
Hilarious vid. I really appreciate your writing and deadpan delivery. You made a fan!
Good lord this video is extremely well written. And hilarious.
This man alone is why I subscribed.
19:40 I LAUGH SO HARD I HAD TO PAUSE THE VIDEO AND WATCH AGAIN. OMGGGGG
The ordeal in the orchard was amazing.
You are easily one of the funniest people I've watched in a good while.
I knew that if Tim had put together a video of any kind for this game, I was going to end up buying it. (Not really into RDR)
I saw that you made a video on RDR2 Tim. I'm buying it.
Goddamnit...
Tim, thank you for doing this for 42 minutes. I love listening to your voice on my television.
Tim is literally the only figure in main stream games media that makes content worth watching these days.
You forgot to put "With Tim Rogers" in the title
That's how they get you to click the other videos.
19:36 RKO OUT OF NOWHERE
Been looking forward to Tim's review.
I just came here to leave a like, Tim Rogers and RDR2 is just enough to leave a like before watching, will watch later after I get the game a play and bit.
Tim Rogers your humor is so good;)
The one I have been waiting for! Thanks for the effort Tim.
Can hardly make it through the video without having to recompose myself from laughter only to do it again a few seconds later. Brilliant!
Love the video as always!
You have to be one of the few people who can make videos this long that everyone watches all the way
Great stuff! Gonna keep watching your commentaries!
I hit the liked button 1001 times, which took exactly 6 minutes 25 seconds for the fantastic commentary/script :D
I see your eye floaters and raise you bright white lighting will give me full blown migraines, bonus points for when its from a flash bang you had no idea was coming
The entertainer, down by the riverside...lots of good, old-timey jazz selections.
Amazing! 40+ mins of pure enjoyment. Well done!! :D
When tim uploads a video i must stop everything and just listen ^_^
I don’t want to see spoilers, but is Tim Frikin Rogers.
This was a good review. Thanks for this review, Tim. I really appreciate your reviews of the Red Dead-iverse.
Watching you accidentally murder a man via horse on horse collision was one of the funniest thing I've ever seen. Thank you Tim.
On second thought, watching you die in the orchard with Bloppy was the funniest thing I've ever seen.
On third thought, watching you casually push a man over, with your horse Idjit, as he screamed "hellfire" will most likely be the funniest thing I will ever see until the day I die.
Jesus this video is amazing
top tier per usual. lengthening this for prosperity from algorithm lords.
42 minutes of the guy who starved his camp just to see how big his beard would grow??? Sign me up.
I love how when you hold the bow back for long enough your hand starts to shake
The scene in the apple orchard was the best. That was hilarious. ;)
12:39 maybe he had two different flavors and wanted to switch it up in between dips lolsksks
TIM:
"Arthur will probably change his name to 'Logan' at the end of this game."
NARRATOR:
"He wouldn't."
You are a gift from the video game gods lol
Great review man!
Thank you for the Shenmue shoutout!

this is a nice review
"I shot a deer in the river and road my horse over it," not sure why that made me laugh out loud but it did
Dude you crack me up!
Thank you bro for suggesting an awesome game to me....im playing from last 9 hours
19:15 - Incredible horse on horse crime spaghetti
When the tree fell in the guy, I tried to help but instead ended up choking one of the other helpers.
i expect at least a 1 hour review of this Red Dead Redemption 2 from TIM ROGERS
the lemMy mission is gRatE
You know this game is massive when it has a lot more lines than Fallout 4.

Chew cans. One is for your fingers. The other for your pals!

Tim Rogers is straight up quality.
Love this, ty tim
Holy sh*t if the game is half as good as this (non) review I'll be stoked
