Wifey went shopping today and returned with a few Abbot ales and a packet of Haribos. I think we've been watching too many of your videos. All the best from North Norfolk.
Wheeey I was just I’m doing a coast road trip and round the broads in the camper van the last couple of days !! Love abbot ale I live right near greene king brewery 👊👊
Special channel this mate. So many outdoor videos on TH-cam but your personality makes for something really different. Keep up the great work, your channel will deservedly grow...genuinely look forward to new videos.
I'm having a fire outside while watching this video. It's 3 degrees celcius. the fire is lovely. I'm by the lake and it's very calm. It's 12:23am in Montreal. I like your videos. keep them coming! thanks! cheers!
Currently struggling with my mental health and have been binging bushcraft vids.. came from Simon a bloke in the woods recommendation. Glad I did.. thankyou for easing an isolated day 🙂
Cracking shelter mate , deffo better than a shell scrape . Your videos bring so much joy to folks lives . Keep going mate and ignore the haters they are just sad , Much love from your friends in Wales Ritchie and Raven x
I was so relieved when you said you had been inspired by Alone, I thought for a second you were going to do your own episode of Naked & Afraid... 🤣😳Peace on you, cheers, Paul 👊🏻💥
Every time you put a new film up it gets better and better. Big up to yourself for trying to motivate people with mental health after the last year we've all had it helps me massively just watching so thx bro 👍 Next part is for me to get off my arse and get out and do it myself haha
Bush radical and girl in the woods husband and wife did "Alone" they are great to watch. Love seeing Sherwood out and about again 🙂 I just want to say I love to way u come across like Ur talking to me personally ,which makes it pleasant to watch 😉
Stumbled across your videos a couple of days ago and have really enjoyed watching them all. They have helped at a hard time and cant thank you enough for that. Looking forward to your next one.
I recently discovered your channel from a work friend a few days ago. He told me because he knew of my recent interest (start of the first lockdown) in foraging and bushcraft, and also being a true Suffolk boy.....I've been binge watching your episodes ever since like I've just discovered the series Breaking Bad all over again. 😆...Absolutely addicted, in other words.....It's great to see places I've been in your vids, and especially places I haven't yet. I'm often along the River Orwell with a fire and food, as that's on my doorstep...Loved your camp on the ship wreck, but I'm generally the other side of the river. I must check out the other side now. I've been leisurely planning my first wild camp the last few weeks, but upon seeing your vids, I'm like wanting to do this NOW. ..😆...But atm I've got to arrange it around busy shitty work ....... Sorry for the long arse yarn and life story, but I needed to reach out and let you know i think it's grand what you're doing and even more so with the honesty behind it.. Keep up the great work and maybe we'll cross paths along the River Orwell sometime. I'll do ya a burger. 😁👊
Loved the vid. I'm heading out on Tuesday with 2 lads I was at Uni with. One of the guys, we haven't seen him for 24 years, and he's had a nervous breakdown in that period, so we're introducing him to the feelgood factor of nature and wild camping.
@@EastAnglianBushcraft Will do, I have ptsd myself and just getting out into nature helps so much. Keep up the great work with camping vids and mental health awareness!
Could you add a UK legal carry rule when discussing knives? It's a grey area, but would probably help alot of new folks who are thinking of going wild camping and are unsure of kit.
I'm catching up on your earlier videos and am really enjoying them. The next time you do chili con carne, use beer instead of water. The taste is wonderful.
English expat here watching from Mexico, me & the Mrs love watching your videos. Mexican Mrs wants to go camping when we come visit hopefully beginning of next year. Aint been home in 5 years and your videos are great for when I'm home sick so thank you for that. Keep up the hard work.
Craig you are amazing. Thanks for these even if I don't camp on my own but I will you make these films and it makes u go.it helps me watching these. But for anyone who is struggling seriously get out in nature only if your a young one watching these make sure you tell someone where u are going right Craig .
I bought a much less fancy hand saw for sawing tree branches. It cuts on the backstroke and it has a wing nut you tighten to either hold it open, while using it, or to hold it closed when you've folded the blade into the groove in the handle. I doesn't work as fast as your Stehl however.
Really enjoy how you are learning as you go and using minimalist tools, that's what I call proper bushcrafting your wits and imagination being your best tools with no fancy expensive kit, proving that anyone can do it
Sorry to keep writing, but I'm just catching up on all your vids........just bloody love your wild camping. You know my past abit in "real scouting" when we did this shit on summer camps. Tent or bivvy..........always the bivvy
You really do an amazing job 🙌 filming is on point 🎥 and the content is really really cool 😎 definitely my favorite channel on TH-cam. Truly a fan. I ate all your vids in one day, a few days ago. Have a great day and stay well! Nothing but love. Your fan from Denmark 🇩🇰
You just can't beat the old peasant recipes, those one pot meals are the best. I know you used two pots but you know what I mean lol. Just found your channel two days ago bud and I'm loving it. The one with the acoustic guitar where you played all those killer tunes, fantastic. ; )
Another fab video 👍🏻 that chilli was brill! Was starving after you had made it. The shelter and fire you made was excellent! 👍🏻🙏🏻 What an inspiration you are to all young males out there to be able to speak about mental health issues 🙏🏻 Many blessings your way 🙏🏻 take care
Natural shelters where you dont bring a tarp are all fun and games, unless you get moved on by a land owner just before its dark, not to mention catching the bus to your spot. (If it sounds oddly specific thats because it happend once.) I always carry a small tarp just in case after that, whether i plan to sleep in a natural shelter or not.
Just back from awesome camp in the Canadian Rockies Craig,Banff just fifty minutes out of Calgary. Great build of that natural shelter, but yes bugs and slugs huge issues. Just be thankful you don’t have Grizzly bears to worry about. Maple in the flag🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦. Chat soon …Toony.
Yeah nice one Mr EAB, another banger! Bob Ross…amazing. You should take a paint brush with you and do a ‘Beat the devil out of it’ moment. Dave the Slug told me it was a heavy night on the lash with the chaps, and Mrs Slug was having none of it and double locked the front door ; hence why he came a knocking looking for a roof over his head for the night. Wychwood ales are thee forest beers. Thank you, look forward to the next one 👍🏻🔥😀
Awesome one Craig i love watching you build your shelter this time i love every one of your setups but this one had me hooked that little bit more legend
"Camping with Steve" inspired me to do a winter camp. -2°c. I had 2 sleeping bags. I survived. Nice and toastie. I dont bother with new kit anymore, just army surplus. My new favourite tent is the polish lavvu tent and Norwegian "telemark" rucksack 😀
Your Maple is Sycamore, it is part of the Maple family, Sycamore is good for carving eating utensils because it is free from any wood toxins.
Yeah I learned that after mate. My mistake and thanks for the comment bud
I find this bloke easy to watch compared to most others, a nice pace about his films , NICE !
thanks so much Dan lad!!
Great stuff as always you have inspired me 48 and my 9 year old to get some kit and get out and leave no trace so thank you craig

A few years ago I discovered Owen Campbell, a former busker from Australia. You will like it.
When you said Sherwood hadn’t been about, my immediate thought was “ah, he snuck off to visit his bird”… was surprised to see him with you today 😏
