Sights and Sounds from the Joe Nall 2024 Flightline

These are from Saturday and Sunday (11th and 12th) at Joe Nall 2024.
Apologies for the quality of some of the clips. To avoid issues with slow autofocus and losing focus, I set the camera to manual focus and left it at "infinity". The trouble with that is that the infinity range on this camera seems to be a few hundred feet ... so anything closer than that looks a bit out of focus or soft. I won't do that again.

Used to go to Joe Nall in the very early 1990's when Pat held it at his house and home strip, but as big and crazy as it is today, it is my opinion that there needs to be some type of fence or barrier on the main runway to protect the flightline and people from a out of control jet aircraft. We have been very, very lucky over the years, but if one of those 200 or even 100mph jets hits someone, it's all over but the crying!!! The barriers and fences are very, very common in Europe. I pray it remains safe for all.

Was it cross winds or the F-14 start up and it's full power engine blast across the runway? The hat was gone in that blast.

It looks like it's a low turn out for Joe Nall 2024.I remember when the place was packed,you had to walk around people to see anything.

Yes, it actually became way too much in my opinion. I wish we could go back to the early days where Pat held it at his house. To me, it was a lot better then.
