    I was literally telling myself "This always seems to be the case with new OLED TVs" then you mentioned it at the same time :D. Personally, if you already have one of the newer OLED TVs with the HDMI 2.1 ports (CX for example) there is no need to change. If you're in the market for one then this is the best option. Great review as always.

      Totally agree, there's no real need to upgrade at the moment. As much as I enjoyed the G2, it's unlikely I will buy one as I can't justify the cost for the brightness.

With the fact that Lg has a promotion where, with the purchase of a new TV, it gives 3 additional guarantees, Lg C2 2+3 years of guarantee and also a gift LG soundbar. Thank you for the info and great review by the way. I just got a LGG C2 a bit earlier and I'm really happy that it is almost at par with G2 overall. I usually go big and would want a larger screen for console gaming (like a 65 inch or more) but due to space limitation inside my room (got two PC monitors already with tons of books and consoles), I got a 42 inch C2 and so far I'm loving it. I actually bought it primary for my PS5. Thanks again for the review! Love to see other reviews as well.

    Great detailed review. I have viewed this TV model in a showroom, and it just leaves all the rest standing. So well designed (the aluminium frame is now perforated has part of the inbuilt speakers)
    I know gamers will disagree, but when purchasing a TV it should always be in proportion to the room it is placed in. This is more for aesthetic reasons. You see a lot of properties with 'oversized TV's and it just look so wrong.

    I’ve been using a 77” C1 and sit 9 feet away and coming from a 65” CX, the difference in screen size in my opinion is worth it as it’s just the right size both for immersion when watching movies, while not being too overwhelming for competitive gaming. G2 looks nice and that brighter screen definitely is a bonus while displaying HDR content. Since you’re sitting 10 ft away from your screen I would definitely go no less than 77”. 65” is just too small. Next year I think there will be a 77” QD-OLED from Samsung and depending on the price could be worth checking out. Great review as always and it was thanks to you I actually started making videos from my iPhone. Cheers!

I got a steal on it since they were taking down the 21's for the 22's at Best buy and i got it for 700$. Now, i do use my PC more then i use my tv/ps5 but when i use my tv/ps5 i am blown away at the clarity and vivid colors and crisp detail. I cant see spending 2k+ for something a little better then what i got for 700$. Yes it is a floor model and yes it ran demo's from open till close. The C1 has better overall processing than this year's LG televisions, but some people might disagree. You give up some sharpness, gradation, color coverage, depth/contrast, motion, and overall detail for slightly more shadow detail, color volume, and brightness, at least most of the time and when measured out-of-the-box. The motion differences are not that extreme, but the rest is worthy of consideration for sure. The C1 wins against the C2, but the G2 can compensate a little with the extra 130 nits of brightness. However, if you are one lucky bastard, then you can end up with a very bright C1 (or C3); however, this would require some luck, as mentioned earlier. You also have to consider how the G2 has worse overall color volume compared to the C2 and C1, respectively. In the end, you are getting a decent television either way, but the C1 offers more in my humble opinion, especially when it comes to price. Although, it makes sense when people want to jump on the "newer is better" craze that eventually dies down. Since the G2 is what is available and new, people with some money will jump to this, especially if they have other reasons to want to get another television this year (as opposed to last year). Anyway, have fun, everyone!

    • @Dr.WhetFarts
      @Dr.WhetFarts 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      G2 stomps all over C1. C1 is dim. C1 is cheap for a reason you know... No EX panel. No heatsink. Not Evo panel. NONE of the features that make G2 great. G2 is the pinnacle of WOLED tech, so far and leaps and bounds better than C1 with pretty much 50% higher brightness in SDR/HDR. It is night and day when looking side by side. Even C2 pales in comparison to G2.

    • @TueenTuo
      @TueenTuo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, it almost sounds like you're an LG rep trying to talk about and market the additional 20 percent brightness boost … or is it 30, 5, and/or 50 percent? Oh, and that EX panel that you're talking about: What real difference does that actually make? I would like to see this proven objectively, as this pronouncement is on you. Of course, this is what others can say, but there are more factors than brightness when it comes to what is better, at least in my opinion (and others). It's alright to disagree with an opinion and undeniable fact though, and I do happen to think for myself and know better. "Why is this?" you ask. Well, I have no clear clue as to why, but it smells like a stinky turd pusher if you ask me. Anyway, I smell hyperbole and horrible exaggeration all over the place, but that's okay. I do know better, but whatever you want to believe is fine by me. We're all allowed to be children with our little toys, so playing with the truth is also acceptable. Well, I have a C1 that can hit well over 1000 nits (actually close to 1200 nits), but who cares about what I have to say. This obviously makes mine objectively better and the pinnacle of OLED, and I am very lucky for this to be the case! It's the truth, but this is what can also make me a little biased, right? I am not saying that much though, so I am simply returning the favor. Afterall, the average C1 does not have this much brightness, and I may be mistaken, correct, affirming one? Then again, brightness isn't everything, so maybe understanding that little tiny bit of information might do you some good; the things I mentioned before -- the better picture quality -- are true and are also my opinion. Maybe I am simply defending my misguided purchase or something even worse (lying altogether). It also sounds like you have a G2, so congratulations on the purchase. I hope that you have fun with the television while also claiming that you didn't buy it. If you do claim the truth, then that is fantastic and an unexpected turn that I never expected. However, we will have to wait and see about that, as claiming this does not mean a damn thing about you owning or defending one, right? We all have our reasons for making extemporaneous claims though, so I understand that it's a little bothersome. We are always looking to create problems where there aren't any, so why even keep ourselves hooked into the right place with the correct information. Have a lovely day, little boy! Make sure to stay inside when Michael comes around. He actually enjoys the taste of wet farts in his mouth, and he loves to play clockmaker by diddling with little dingdongs. They also call him the fiddle master, but he does more than fiddle, my friend, so I would watch the hell out. You might get a notch or two up your butthole though, and it will never feel good down there. To avoid this, what my friend does is keep a piece of tape that is secured by a speedo down there to keep the raunchy man out. Good luck out there! You're obviously going to need it.

C) you are praising products, not yourself, which technology channels tire me a lot. If you don't mind, I want to ask you a question. i collect dvd/bluray but i also have vhs collection. As it is known, the world is dealing with an economic crisis and I want to pay for TV once and use it for a long time. What do you think, what should I choose as an 8K TV, which will not upset me even though I use old technology such as 65" and above vhs. I use ps5 but my gaming culture is not very good. I also use a home theater system, so the sound characteristics of the TV are not important. Thank you, Turkey/ Greetings in Istanbul.

I have a 2018 Q8 Samsung QLED now and it's been great, but really behind with the current technology, since I have the PS5 and Series X. My room is moderately bright, so I think I've convinced myself on the G1. Brighter than the C1, less $$ than the C2.
