Very nostalgic for me. Aged 19 in 1963/4, I served as a volunteer in Peru for 18 months & spent quit a lot of time in the altiplano.

@@deegold3791 I think this is a lhama or alpaca baby. Its a kind of small camel of the Andes .
@@deegold3791 They are paying respect to the land/mountains. It's a typical quechua ceremonie. What she is holding is just some llama or alpaca wool. Could possibly be from a carcass or dissected one. Just an artifact part of the ritual.

Hace como 40 años atrás ( y para mi fue casi ayer) viví en Queens, New York. Hay mucha gente suramericana. Muchos inmigrantes muy trabajadores. El me llevaba a una casa privada de una señora peruana que se hizo un restaurante en su apartamento! La comida estaba fabulosa y todos los dias tenía algo diferente y sabroso!

Have you ever noticed how ancient folks from different coutries way back when ,used their land ,natural properties and mother nature at her finest to enhance their lifestyles ?Making the most difficult thing possible look so easy to do is something to behold...Why doesn't countries nowadays do the same with each land's natural resources ? At the very least ,the environment would prosper by not using artificial means at construction and living practices ...
This makes me feel just like it was when I spent a total of six months in the Peruvian Andes.
