Great memories. Saw them live in 77' In Redondo Beach Keith Morris singing, and then Later on in '82 with Henry Rollins.

Not sure I’m qualified to pull a “more punk rock song” than your pick, but definitely will shout out for the It Came From Slimey Valley Mystic album compilation. Dr. Know and Ill Repute I still fondly remember.

In early 90s I rocked a Dr Know t-shirt. But I thought it was Dr. Know, the Bad Brains guitarist. But it's the CA band Dr Know

Perfect answer! I honestly agree… The original Dez Cadena (who has a similar voice to Henry Rollins) version is much better in my opinion although that’s just me.
If you agree on the song, that's good enough for me! Though you say you like Dez's version better, but do you feel it is the "more punk rock" version?
@@TheFreakinReaction Hell yeah! I’d say that Henry’s version was probably the ‘more punk rock’ version. Something about Henry just fit the genre perfectly.
It's amazing Dez could sing like that, well Rollins too. After leaving the band, Dez fronted a psych rock band DC3, played rad guitar and had a very different vocal style. Later played guitar for Misfits 🎸🏴☠️
@@mattjohn4731 Yeah, I’d imagine his vocals went through so much strain singing like that. There’s performances where Dez’s voice is so messed up, you can barely tell what he’s saying. DC3 was actually quite a cool band. I’m a sucker for psychedelic music.
