Your home is artistic. Considering the material and amount of firewood and the fact that it burns better due to the chimney effect, it takes up to 3 hours for the firewood to burn out. Wouldn't the inside of the underground log cabin, which was warm in the winter cold, quickly become cold after the firewood is burned out? ? the chimney is built with stones instead of just dirt, the stones retain the heat, so the heating will last longer. However, I think it would have been better if it had been built with a heating method called Ondol. In other words, it would have been best to dig out the bottom of the sleeping area, build a passage with thick stones, cover it with flat stones, and point the hole in the chimney towards the exit where the door is, instead of straightening the chimney vertically outward. . Flat covering stones can be covered with red clay clay to prevent smoke from escaping. In this method, the hot heat generated when firewood burns is not released directly to the outside. As the heat passes through the bed stones, it heats them. When the smoke goes out toward the exit, the stones become hot. It will hold off the heat for a long time, so the heating will last for a long time. I'm mentioning this because it's a task that requires a little bit of time from your construction work.
Kostas has built this dugout cabin with his own hands if anyone bothers to have watched all his other builds. Does it really matter how long it took .. he's a hard working man with what he achieves .love this channel ❤.. well done Kostas its a beautiful dugout... big hugs to sweet Bonny please 🐕.❤.. stay safe out there 🏕🕊🙏❤
The one thing I will never understand about all of these types of videos is that not one overlaps wall boards or roof boards in a downward fashion like you would lay down shingles on a conventional roof. Doing so leaves no gaps between the boards and rain water would flow downwards over the boards without the need of laying a tarp over the top. A simple 1 inch overlap will close in the gaps and allow water to flow downwards and off the structure instead of seeping through the gaps. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching them I just find it odd that no-one does it.
Dependent on how dry you can keep the earth surrounding the walls, and whether or not you have a moisture barrier if you can't. Doing things like extending your roof cover ie, 10ft×18ft internally, but has a waterproof tarp 20ft×28ft covering the roof, and 3 sides out by 5ft from internals. Then make drainage from you roof, helps keep ground dry, and if done right is emergency water supply.
I love this build. Extremely impressive. I know I am a girl, and I have been camping my whole life, but this on could accomplish. And I would love the challenge.
Hello Mr GR how r you and Bonnie doing sorry y haven't kept up watching you and Bonnie on your adventures but I finally watched one and I don't see Bonnie is she doing ok hope so catch you later give Bonnie a hug from me .Nancy from California 😊
So for your roof, i would try liquid nail to seal up gaps, then melt beeswax and coat the top surface, followed by a few rolls of that orange colored rolls of flooring fabric, and also coat that with melted beeswax and then start putting surrounding natural materials on top of all that. Maybe that can fail, but what if it doesn't
Here in the U.S. I would like to know where I could go to build a Dugout Shelter, on a piece of property, that I do not own. Whether it is the Federal, State, or County, or City governments allowing me to build without Code approved structures. Most of these Shelters I assume are abandoned shortly after being built; however I do Love to watch these Folks build them! Go for it!
Give the Man a break! How do you think, that He earns his money? He is not eating at a High Price French Resturant! What We here in the U.S. called Hobos, they came up with really Good tasting food to eat!
Oh pls ugh there's always that one guy who has to complain about everything. If u want that then look up ppl who fully live off the land. These videos are just for the housing aspect of it all. Which most ppl find very interesting. At the end of the day. If ur that serious then look up living off the land 🙄, these ppl ain't actually out there living for the most part, so who cares if they have grocery bought food. 🙄Ur just nit picking and complaining. Iv also watched plenty of videos where they do fully live off land. It's all about what u look up. Just because the title is bushcraft doesn't necessarily mean fully off the land. Just enjoy the video for what it is like all the rest of us. My god.
Seems to me it would take one day do excavation remember it rained gather the logs then placing materials , doing stone work that's over days by its self. Doing a great job

Very cool build I would love to do something like this one day
Almost looks like my neck of the woods. The hint of red dirt with the clay slate. Makes me really think so. Your videos are awesome. Keep it up man!
That's Amazing 🤓👍❤️🙏
This may be your biggest and best build yet! Very impressive!

Fantastic build,very well conceptualised.
Just wondering how much warmer these underground dwellings are compared to surface ones

A very nice cabin but not safe from a bear attack!
Resourceful
Very nice cabin. I noticed it was built into a slope. How do you manage rainwater?
What happened to Bonnie. We sure do miss seeing her. She was so pretty
Amazing job brother!

Did you have a drawn plan for this or did you eyeball the whole thing. Very impressive!

He is living to Greece, mountain Olympus.

Удивительно что в Германии (если это она), столько нетронутой природы.)
Ночью не безопасно. Зверь может залезть через большое окно.

❤👍👍👍👍👍
Isn't this the exact same dugout we've been seeing 3 videos of now? 🤔 Why all the re-uploads / regurgitating the same content?
Ого, холодное жилище получилось ? Ну, сужу по тому, что хозяин в конце ролика полез под одеяло в одежде.

This could save our lives but what sould we do if we don't have these tools? We were lsot in the forest anyway, so wo could have no tools.
I'd like to know what kind of axe that is you use.
You a veteran?
Refugio acogedor.
You posted the wrong video: this is not a final edit. The same clips are repeated throughout this file.
OKAY: Better today!
😄😄😄
Aren't you concerned about underground pests like moles and rats??!
Sepertinya dalamnya harus di rapihkan dengan semen supaya tidak ada binatang kecil dan melata yang masuk
what I hate about most bushcraft videos is that they go and build these shelters then go and cook store bought food.
You just hit the spot mate with your comment!! Same opinion here!! I think lots of people didn t realize what is healty food this days!!

Are you doing this? I'm curious... 🤔 or maybe you should 🤫
I mean he is using store bought clothes and tools. Oh, and that camera. How dare he...
When I see these type of videos, I want to see the real deal not no fake ones.@@TheBoosteddub
