- Barenaked Ladies perform "One Week" at the Farm Aid concert in Bristow, Virginia on September 12, 1999.
Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

Farm Aid's performances are donated by the artists in order to raise funds and raise awareness for family farmers. They've raised their voices to help - what can you do?
Absolutely in awe they played it faster live. True talent right there
Edit: nvm, accidentally had speed set to 1.25
My hardest laugh of the day thanks
Amazing comment
Hahahahaha 😭
This was too funny true or not
@@synl8847 was watching a doc with a slow talker prior & forgot to change speed back to normal 😭
Mr.Levenstein is dancing in my mind.
Obviously 😂… In my mind too….
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just watched it too 🤣🤣
"Sweet heart..."
Watching this in November 2024. Still wishing they got back together
Same here on November 12-2024
I cannot imagine trying to throw vocals so smooth like that in front of an audience. Well done.
some of the hardest karaoke there is
The second verse about the golf clubs always messes me up. I fumble those lines every single time, yet I can flawlessly rap some fast rap songs lol it's weird
These guys look like a blast to seeing live
Just saw these guys tonight and yes they are still a blast! 😊
Without Steven though😢
not the same without steven. he was definitely the better performer
Yup they are, saw them five times
I miss the 90s
Oh man so do I. I really really do too. Almost brings a tear to your eyes.
I thought I missed the 80s, until the 90s came and went.
Yes
It was the bomb. Remember when things were all that and a bag of chips?
I miss the 90s, too…. And I wasn’t even alive in 90s….
Damn that dance at the end was the most gangster thing I’ve ever seen.
Blues brothers
i didn't know farm aid was a thing. you have this metal head's support.
I guarentee none of these farmers asked him to go this hard, but by god he did.
No song gets stuck in my head quite like this. The cadence throughout is just so amazing. True masterpiece even though they didn’t even mean to do it.
Such an underrated band
"Gonna get a set of better clubs
Gonna find the kind with tiny nubs
Just so my irons aren't always flying off the backswing
Gotta get in tune with Sailor Moon
Cause that cartoon has got the boom anime babes
That make me think the wrong thing"
Me when I try to sing along "MENAMEWNAMEMAMA"
Concerts with energy and no cell phones.
ok boomer
Great to see cause we all know how common it was in 1999 for people to pull out their Nokia’s at concerts and focus on recording rather than living in the moment
You wouldn't know anything about just having fun and being in the moment without a cell phone 😂😂😂
concerts with little to no cell phones exist u just must have been goin to bad concerts
Yep in the moment
By channel flipping chance I saw this live on tv. To this day I still sing "a little diddy about chris and corn" lol!
hahahaha amazing!
does anyone know who chris is
Love the dancing in this video. Great performance--they look like they are having a lot of fun.
Great FUN in concert! 😁
I love one one week and the post card song. They are the easiest for me to feel. I’m deaf but Ty makes it so I can feel them. I stand with bare feet right next the television with the sound blasting. Sometimes I hear a little. I’m sorry. 😢😢😢
1999- what a year.
there's only 5 things i love in my life: 1. Barenaked Ladies, 2. Dave Matthews Band, 3. Jack Johnson, 4. Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, 5. FARM AID!
My type of person 🤝
I've ssen them several times live and their show is like a street performance. Go see them live!
The day that Ed and Steve stopped dancing together was the day their relationship truly fell apart.
Oh how I miss their music! Best ever!
awesomeness..can't believe this was nearly 20 years ago!!
So great 👍
There is Nothing like a rock show. Love it
I think they’re awesome live
absolutely didn’t know 2 guys sang this song
Quality music right there
Who’s here in 2020!!! 🔥🔥👌🏽
November 12-2024
That was freaking AWESOME!!!!
1999 was a different world
Let’s not forget that kick ass Bass lines. Wow. Great band
This song kicks ass! Its gotta be harder live!
I was amazed the first time I saw Barenaked Ladies
Those were the good days
I was listening to this song on the radio in the car and my dad said, "Who's this Sta?" And I said, "Barenaked Ladies". And he said, "How about fully dressed men?"
Wow so good
I just loved them when they were all together! Wish they would just stay together! Just perfect! The Beatles all over again!
I'm a simple man. I see "Barenaked Ladies - One Week (Live at Farm Aid 1999)," I click
Very very very underrated song ❤🎉🏁
my daughter sang the song at her canada 150 concert
Didn’t Canada only become truly independent in 1982?
Cool
Farmers don't get enough love anymore these days sadly. They are all struggling with inflation and gas prices and its affected their businesses...
You’ve still got Clarkson’s Farm. Not much, but still doing good things for farmers worldwide.
That looked like a really fun time!
THE BEST MAMA MIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA GRACIAS GUYS FROM TORONTO - CANADA AURORA AND NEWMARKET AJAJJAJAJJA I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU SO MUCH ALL OF YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
That chunky PRS is life
These guys were great!
Whoever it was that gave this a thumbs down needs to reevaluate their values!
I'm from the future. Downvotes are a thing from your present.
Without Steven there is no Barenaked Ladies!!!
EPIC!!!
Dang, they’re good live
Back when you didn’t have to be a super model to be a singer
so envious of everyone there
Blues brothers vibe right at the end :)
Jake and Elwood 👍👍
What a crazy ass song 🤣❤️ it
Love this video. So sad that Steve Page is not part of BNL
FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRE
sin duda eso es un rolon y una joya!!
I’m so sad they got old. Can we just live in this era forever?
This many years, I still don’t know why my life skills teacher liked this band. 😂😂
Rapping and playing guitar? These guys are nuts
If you were in your 20's in the 70s, 80s or 90s they were the best year's of our lives
In my 20s since 2018 and can confirm it sucks

What ever happened to my 2000? 😢😢😢😢24 years ago
Its pretty incredible that Seth Rogan was able to make the transition to acting after playing shows like this.
...yes, same about Tom Cavanaugh as well
the amazing thing is that there weren't many chunks in the audience. Ahhhhh, the good old days, of non fatties...
I wanna see someone in the crowd doing the Jim Levenstein :D
5:49 other students when you get mcdonalds for lunch
The only thing that upsets me is that i can't karaoke this song
Ed Robertson = Anthony Fantano?
No
Weird to watch the bit between 5:49 - 5:53, because that is EXACTLY how I walk when I'm going around to your mother's house.
Fantano looks so young here.
I Love Candains
I'm here it means I'm old heheh :D
I like the jack and Diane remix
ooooohhhh yeeaaaaaa chris picks corn!
This show would've been SO sick to see live. Unfortunately, I was nine at the time and only cared about Pokemon cards that are now worth thousands upon thousands of dollars.
5:59 they give a little kiss 😚
Whats the short Part at 3:53 ? Whats he singing? I think it dont belong to the Original Song
It's from "All The Gold In California" by The Gatlin Brothers.
All the gold in California
Is in a bank in the middle of Beverley Hills
In someone else's name
Stifler Numero uno
I’m confused why this says Farm Aid ‘99 when they visited Indiana in 2001, not 1999. Unless wiki is wrong lol.
🇨🇦🎸👍
Peek of civilization
👏👏👏👏👏😎😎😎😎😎
And they say white people can't dance...
the funny part is that they told Chris he was going too fast then performed One Week too fast
He sounds like bumper from pitch perfect (Adam Devine)
Who's playing the lead guitar parts 🤔
The bigger dude looks like he should be an in office somewhere lol, he’s awesome though
I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral
Can't understand what I mean? Well, you soon will
Wait, did they kiss? Awesome!
Can anyone tell me what that Intro Song with cris is? I think i know the tune
"Jack & Diane" by John Mellencamp
Homer and Marge- Weird Al Yankovic 😂
Shanahan Springs
Why is the rhythm gat so loud, And where is its maestro?
The keyboard player is also playing guitar
2:40
i wanna a kiss too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spent 18 out of my 20 years in Indiana. The forest are great, but the corn is so boring to look at.
did they kiss at the end? lol
I had to watch it a few times, but yes they did. lol
aw lol that's precious
my favorite song by them but the guitar sounds like it is out of toon.
Well it better get in tune with Sailor Moon
Ween lite
They look like the same person 😂
no they don't, you need to get out
more
white boy fever
David Tapia what
Why do Farms need aid? They already get huge subsidies from governments which increase the price for consumers while reducing the quality and making the economy less efficient.
Educate yourself big farms maybe but the little guy Farms are struggling and closing up all the time
