    Amazing you say that humpback is a later sign because I noticed this in my mom early on, in her 50's and they don't test you until 65... so by then she had advanced Osteo. I'm trying to demand a bone density test at my age in my late 40's ahead of the curve to know where I stand and then get tested every few years. No clue why they make women wait so long before testing them. By 67 my mom had spinal fractures!

      Yes, the fact that it does not require trauma to fracture your spine, hip, or wrist is something all women deserve to know. Most women can't even tell you how they fractured their spines. All it takes is a cough or a sneeze!

    I suspected I had Osteoporosis but I was not allowed to get a DEXA until I fractured something. Makes no sense! Thanks for this education! The last 2 DEXAs they did not measure my wrists. I asked why the tech said they never do it. I don't know if the criteria changed or not.But I was still devastated when I broke my ankle! Women need to take this seriously! None of my doctors told me about fractures and Osteoporosis being from a lack of estrogen and nobody suggested that I take it. I had to do research and then beg for it! I can tell by my response when I dont have the patch on I would die without estrogen! Thank you for this education!

    When I was young I jumped from a few flight of stairs and I twisted my ankle. Later on in Late 40's in a bus accident I blocked out and I flew to middle of bus and landed on my bottom. I was bruised up couldn't walk well. I tripped crossing the street hurt my right knee. Working and trying to get my job done I was running and the tip of my shoe hit the sidewalk ended up hurting my right knee. @@MenopauseTaylor :). I followed your advice and my Gyn is upping my estrodial patch. My night sweats / hot flashes and depression are much better.... However in 2 months I gained 14 lbs. I have been eating the same (actually cut down and doing more plant based and started working out since our meeting. ) I'm assuming it's from the P, if I get the iud, will that not cause weight gain? Normally if I gain a couple of lbs due to more eating I'm able to lose quickly even at this age by cutting down for a few days. I'm highly aware of calories so I believe this rapid gain is from the P not the E! HELP!

    As the only/main risk of taking estrogen i've heard about in your videos is the risk of breast cancer. What about another risks - thromboembolism and stroke? How would you compare these risks from estrogen supplementation versus the risk of a heart attack from a lack of estrogen? Did you cover this problem or will it be clarified in next videos? For me - it's the most dangerous disadvantage of HRT, so I would be greatfull for sharing your opinion.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Uh, I think you are confusing me with someone else.
      I can tell by your question that you have so many things confused that the only way I can adequately correct them all is in a consultation.
      I have not said that breast cancer is a risk of taking estrogen. I have addressed both stroke and thromboembolism in videos addressed specifically to them within the heart attack unit (videos 160 - 185). I don't think you've been watching my videos in order from the very first one, or you would not be asking this question. And, if you don't want to watch them order, you can get all the answers to all your questions in a consultation.
