Thing is, we don't actually KNOW where Jaden and the GX cast were actually from...Only that they were attending the Duel Academy on Academy Island.
None of them were originally FROM Domino City - as shown when they went on a Field Trip to Domino, and they had Yugi's Grandpa as a 'tour guide' of sorts.
For all we know, they could have all lived on a completely different continent, halfway around the world, thus escaping the tragedy of Zero Reverse.
Just because the anime is focussed on Domino City/Neo Domino City, it doesn't mean that ALL the characters lived there.

Yeah I get what you mean. I probably wasn’t clear enough in the video. But I did indirectly acknowledge that not everyone lived in Domino City. I’m pretty sure I said something along the lines of Yiliaster going after the GX cast more personally. They didn’t have to necessarily die during Zero Reverse. I think it’s entirely possible that they could have been individually picked off and targeted beforehand from wherever they were at around the world. I hope I made sense. 😅

Don't think there's enough to infer what happened before but the Jaden part is hard to say since we don't know for sure how long after GX 5ds takes place
Great theory!! You have to think they would indeed just get rid of anyone not needed to their plan. It’s shown in the show that the signers are protected from at least some of the side effects of yiliaster. So instead they use team 5Ds to bring about the final moment that they will use to destroy the city.

Oh yeah that’s another good point. Yiliaster had multiple ways of getting rid of people who would be perceived as threats so they probably had multiple ways of getting rid of Jaden. Thanks for commenting! ❤️🔥

Something to point out is that Iliaster pretty much had to do this in order for their plans to succeed. Yugi, Kaiba, Judai, etc. are too good and would have absolutely stood up against Iliaster if they tried to conduct their plan. Sure, Judai could be anywhere in the world, but Iliaster can easily track that down.
Also, you addressed this, but to further elaborate, we know 5ds takes place some time in the 2020’s, probably 2025 or later. We know this because GX took place from 2004 to 2007, and because Neo Domino City is Domino City, and by keeping it 2025 or later, this keeps Ushio’s crush on Mikage from not being too weird, and in turn her crush on Jack from not being too weird.
This is technically retconned in Arc-V, given the four different dimensions. So OG and GX aren’t tied into 5Ds outside a few references.
One thing ive been curious of is the extent of Ylisasters influence. We know Z-one and the others have been fucking with history for a while, but to what extent?
Are they responsible for Dartz falling under the Orichalcos? If they were willing to go back in time to kill Pegasus; why didn't they go further by interefering with ancient egypt and preventing the millennium items creation, stopping the shadow games and by extention the game of duel monsters they have the means to do this.
Perhaps the Millenium memory arc wasn't different solely due to it being a Shadow RPG. Since we know Seto becomes the Pharoah in ancient times when we know that shouldnt have happened given his betrayal of the Pharoah, is this also because of Z-ones meddling?
Oh actually this is a good point to consider! Considering 5Ds is pretty closely tied to DM and GX. It could entirely be possible that Yiliaster had their influence in Egypt or with Dartz’s civilization of Atlantis.
I wouldn’t put it past them. We’ve seen what the group is capable of and how they caused 0 reverse. Not to mention doing this for countless years. Thanks for the comment!

Hey there! Thanks for the comment. I appreciate the feedback, But actually, at least the first 3 YuGiOh shows are in the same timeline. We know this because of the 10th anniversary movie, Ushio's presence in both DM and 5Ds, and a bunch of other things as well. I do know that from Zexal onwards. The timelie gets fuzzy. But I think that at the very least. The first 3 shows are all in the same timeline.
@@underdogchris1753, for Zexal, there is one TH-camr who made a theory that XYZ monsters were made/found in the black hole that was caused by the duel between Yusei and Bruno and that essentially they were used to replace Synchro monsters until Arc V (something about the cards being radioactive).
