    Hello from ... Switzerland 😍
    First of all, I don't like ice in my drinks (except for martini or other drinks), but they have to be cold, so you were absolutely right to take ice with Sinalco, because it was definitely not chilled.
    Ovomaltine, I don't know if you know that, but the chocolate is actually only "secondary", the main component is malt (that's why it's crunchy) and the name actually says it (Ovo-MALT-ine). The Ovomaltine (as a drink) was originally developed "to strengthen exhausted people", and is still considered "healthy" and strengthening during or after sports/hiking.
    The Ovaltine powder for milk drinks is also exported, but differs in that the Swiss version does not contain granulated sugar.
    Darvida, I find this a "terrible" product, when I open a packet of my favorite Darvidas (with sesame seeds) I can't stop until I'm either about to burst or the packet is empty. 😀
    Well, it's just that, chocolate heaven is in Switzerland, and of course that also applies to chocolate drinks. At least you've known one for a while, Nesquick, because this is from Nestlé in Vevey/Switzerland. However, I don't know if yours was made in Switzerland (I suspect not, but that doesn't necessarily make it worse).
    Your video is great, you seem to be having fun, enjoy and share with us. 👍

      Sorry I know this is so random but the sesame Darvida are my favourite too lol 😅

    🐮 What a FANTASTIC selection from Lorraine !! Luv seeing the pictures of how beautiful it is in Switzerland. Speaking of ice , I am in a tea group. And even in winter I ask the server for iced tea. I do get some weird looks. My saying is the glass is half empty and it needs 🐻‍❄️ ICE. I always ask for an extra cup of ICE at restaurants. At the tea with my group last weekend, they have a tiny British 🇬🇧 Shoppe and I bought alot of chocolate 🍫 bars for my granddaughter and a friend (and me of course). They were Lion Bars and my fav Aero (mint) and regular. You both describe everything in such detail now l NEED some chocolate.🧀 I luv Swiss Cheese. Blessings from California. 🐻

    Thanks for all the reviews, I like your real reactions to each snack. Here in America, I live in Wisconsin, we are famous for cheese, and a danish called Kringle. It’s funny because the shelves are filled with Christmas decor at our local Hobby Lobby stores. Too early for me. Continue to enjoy life and all the snacks, cheers, Elizabeth S, Wisconsin USA 🇺🇸

    Here in Canada & the US we have a chain of stores called Spirit Halloween that open just for Halloween. They sell Halloween decorations, as well as costumes and makeup. They are already open in most places! These stores are well known for their in-store displays
    Our craft stores like Michaels (or Joann Fabrics & Hobby Lobby in the US) have had Christmas items out for quite awhile already, however, that makes sense, when you think that they are marketed towards crafters, many of whom are selling their products at holiday craft sales, so they need time to create

    Hi Kate and Alex I like your videos. I have not looked at all the comments on this one, but wanted to add some trivia and apologize if same is repetitive. Switzerland does not have an official capital. Berne is 'only' the seat of the federal goverment, but the federal court is for example in Lausanne. Our founding fathers did not like to have so much power concentrated at one place. Swiss kids learn three languages in School: Their native language, English and the most spoken language after their native tongue. It is 60% German, 30% French and 10% Italian (this are only rough numbers and does not account for Romansh which is not widely spread). So if you grow up in the French speaking part, you learn French, English, German in this order. If you grow up in the German speaking part you learn German, English and French. If you grow up in the Italian speaking part it is Italian, English, German.

    Very different flavors. Interesting facts about Switzerland. The UK is close to so many different countries. We have Mexico or Canada. Even one of our states , Hawaii, is far away. And Alaska.

  • @lindseysellers4423
    @lindseysellers4423 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Never knew it was an American thing to put ice in drinks. I did know that free refills aren't really a thing in the UK so maybe that's why we're ok with a ton of ice in our drinks because we know we'll be able to get more lol. I'm starting to put together a list of items to send again because they're starting to announce new items being released for the fall so I'm hoping they start popping up in local stores soon!

    • @ThisWithThem
      @ThisWithThem  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I feel like with the free refills maybe that’s why you get so much ice. Where as here if we order a pint of a soda and get half ice it’s very annoying as you just get hardly any drink and no refills! No way, Lindsey!! You don’t need to send us more ♥️♥️ you’ve already sent us so much!! That is so cool new fall items are being announced! Love hearing about new items!

      @roccatron 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I grew up in the "village" and still live here, where the "Lindt & Sprüngli" chocolate factory is located. I can assure you that there are far better chocolate manufacturers in Switzerland. Even the big ones like "Cailler" and "Frey" are better than "Lindt". But the little ones are really good, like "Max Chocolatier" from Lucerne, or "laflor", " Taucherli" and many more! By the way, my favorite chocolate comes from Denmark - "Friis-Holm". :)

    Well, I’m a massive malt fan, and thought I’d buy the Ovomaltine biscuits, on a certain website they’re £34.99 for three packs 😵 I’m going to search the internet. Are you aware of malt syrup? I’m 71 and, as a child was given a teaspoon of malt each night before teeth and bed. My grandmother had quite a large jar of malt in the bottom of a floor cupboard, she walked into the kitchen to find me sitting on the floor in a pool of malt syrup, my hands covered in it, stuffing as much as I could get into my hands, into my mouth!
