“Finish you like polyurethane” he’s talking about the final clear coat applied while working with wood too. Nice work as always, Knox, keep killing ‘em!
"Finish you like polyurathane" - polyurathane is a finish like a lacquer. I guess he could be talking about inhaling it too.. but that's where I think he was going with that one.
Polyurethane is also highly flammable. Used on wood. Then, follow it with the fire log flame bars. Dude is ridiculous with bars. Him and LL came with it!
Ganggggg at 9:34 you literally said you were looking for a Big Daddy Kane bar. I replayed it as well cause I never thought about there being a fourth layer. Bro… Big Daddy Kane has a song called Rap Summary (Lean on Me). 🤯
"slugs will make you forget all that slick shit you thought of" plays into that next "blow your mind with the sawed-off" line. super clean flow. great video
Yeah, it's because of the era where LL was making mostly music for the ladies, so people seem to remember him more for that than for being a pioneer in lyrical rap.
This could be a massive leap, but the avocado/affogato line: the literal translation for affigato is "drowned" and the mafia have a reputation for putting concrete shoes on rivals/enemies and drowning them - linking back to the Hoffa/Lake Minnetonka. Affogato is also what you have to end or finish off a meal (dessert & coffee in one) so this could be a reference to Em & LL disposing/finishing off their competition?

I wish we could see how they wrote this. With so much overlap and back&forth, I'm imagining the 2 just spending a day in the studio and writing together. (Vs "feature requests" when artists send a fairly complete song and ask for a verse) Those studio sessions must've been so incredible!
“Quick to go out wit a Bang” reminds me of that Em bar “When I go out I’m a go out shootin’. I don’t mean when I die, I mean when I go out to the club stupid”😂
Heard the song last night. Paused before knox heard Em's last verse and laughed because its half of this reaction. This song is insane and I'm here for it
By far Knox you are easily one of the best at reactions and actually breaking down bars and I ❤ you first let the verse play then go back and breakdown the bars. By far my fave reactor! 🫡❤️🇦🇺
I loved this reaction, two greats collabing in the best way, was so cool hearing Em able to pay homage to LL, and for LL to give kudos back. Seriously, LL's flow was genius! And Em bars n flow was nek level 😂 appreciate you KH for the breakdown, I missed so much til you highlighted it
I personally never minded Eminem's late 2010s, 2020s delivery, but I prefer when he uses a higher pitch than his regular speaking voice. Nice video, Knox! "Crack a bottle" is an Em, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent track from Encore, too
Year was 1990. The first lines of the song song started with these lines "Don't call it a comeback, I been here for years; I'm rockin' my peers, puttin' suckers in fear" This is the song that made me fall in love with hip hop.
Yup you’re both right!! Mama said knock you out came out my senior year of high school!! Still a great song to this day!! Big LL fan!! Of course Em’s my favorite rapper ever, but I had tickets two times to see LL and another time he was doing a talk at Hampton University in Virginia and all three times I missed him! One of the times wasn’t my fault he was playing at a club in downtown Manhattan and they cut off the line because the club was full so I couldn’t get in I was so pissed! The other two times I was really sick and had to give my tickets to someone else. I hope to see both of them before I leave this earth! Huge fan of both of them.!!!!
Bruh how do you do it?? I don’t no who amaze me the most Em or you cuz you are definitely the Guru of braking down bars specially Ems bars and not just that but the background music the instruments the schemes giving us history lessons like bruh!!! Hands down to you my kids learn so much from you keep up the good work and God bless you and your family 🙏
Fantastic collaboration. This must be a bucket list for the both of them. This shows our elders still got it. Gen x are loving this. Yep wicked & bad from your Welsh lady.🇬🇧😂
I didn't even have enough knowledge to fully comphrend what they were doing oh my god it sounds good even if you only catching the surface or some doubles but then when you fully dig in oh my god. They really tested you with this one but you came through. Great video
LL and Em were legit going at it like they've prepared their whole lives for this, ish was too clean 🔥🔥🔥. But Knox, you legit have to be the best rap TH-cam reactor. Your breakdowns are too detailed. Big ups man!!!
Love the vid! Was waiting for this. One thing with Em’s first verse is Polyurethane is what you use on wood for a “finish” that’s a def double meaning there.
Just want to point out that BDK (Big Daddy Kane) part is also part of his sociopath scheme as it also sounds like BTK - (Bondage, Torture, Kill) serial killer.

Man these 2 hiphop legends killed it! Ems just out of this world talented 🐐 & LL still has that old school sound I miss🐐 Love them both sm❤
I can only imagine how giddy Em was being able to do this with LL 😂
I wish we could see how they wrote this. With so much overlap and back&forth, I'm imagining the 2 just spending a day in the studio and writing together. (Vs "feature requests" when artists send a fairly complete song and ask for a verse) Those studio sessions must've been so incredible!
@@colette2034LL did an interview about it
I would have never guessed that in 2024 we'd be getting served some LL and Em 🔥🔥🔥
Damn ! We need a entire album of those two together !
I second and third that point
I’ll 4th and 5th that
You are playing with unnatural forces the universe cannot handle it, stop your shit you might as well call out Beetlejuice🤫
🔥🔥🔥🤯🤯🤯
I sixth and seventh it
Knox gonna collab with Eminem some day
“Quick to go out wit a Bang” reminds me of that Em bar “When I go out I’m a go out shootin’. I don’t mean when I die, I mean when I go out to the club stupid”😂
Remember Me ?
@@pjaydrillsa yeah 😂
Can't wait to see the music video
This song is a call back to the first Mudergram on LL's "Mama Said Knock You Out" album.
7:37 My mom is wondering why I'm concentrating so damn much watching a man explain this to me
“ It’s Halloween, those candy bars’ll get you killed in the forest”, dude that’s fire…. LL back!
This song sent me back to the 90's it's so freaking awesome to hear this style of rapping nowadays, and LL Cool J still got it!
Thank you Knox for breaking this down, L.L has always been one of my favorite, I'm from the old school.
First off this song is fire! Second, your breakdown is next level. Do you miss anything ever? Damn. Knox you are awesome.❤
Heard the song last night. Paused before knox heard Em's last verse and laughed because its half of this reaction. This song is insane and I'm here for it
When this song dropped last night.. I listen to it 10 times in a row. This is the song I didn't know I needed in my life!💙 Instant Banger🎉
Well said !! Insane banger. I've listened 50 times already
Me too its lit they out did themselves and its shwed real rap and hop hop@joecorbett3013
So nice to here LL back!!!!!! Great COLLABORATION! Em has such respect for him it was insane to here the back and forth.
Professor in the house. You are one of the reasons I have no worries about the younger generation. Love it.
And Em bars n flow was nek level 😂 appreciate you KH for the breakdown, I missed so much til you highlighted it
This is what i like. Eminem has REAL RAPPERS as features. LL is a legend. I want more
Actually is ll cool j song on his new album is featuring Eminem 😅😅😅
@@RobertQuant 😂😂😂 I realised after I wrote it. Too excited
So appreciative of Knox's breakdowns. I can't think of anyone better. He misses nothing. Love watching your video's
It's understandable halfway thru this when Knox says "FML man".. these bars are molten lava bro
10:12 the flow switch is WOW 😮
@darrellmlg1363 RE MIX- EMINEM & LL COOL J
I personally never minded Eminem's late 2010s, 2020s delivery, but I prefer when he uses a higher pitch than his regular speaking voice. Nice video, Knox!
"Crack a bottle" is an Em, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent track from Encore, too
'Crack a Bottle' is from Relapse! (2009)
@@Hayden1969-ws4vy Good looking out. Thanks!
Year was 1990.
The first lines of the song song started with these lines "Don't call it a comeback, I been here for years; I'm rockin' my peers, puttin' suckers in fear"
This is the song that made me fall in love with hip hop.
Mama said knock you out 💯
Yup you’re both right!!
LL killed this. 🔥🔥🔥
Sawed off aka boom stick..
Great video
Baarrrzzzzz🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥they snaaapped‼️💯💯💯✌🏾❣️
LL and Em were legit going at it like they've prepared their whole lives for this, ish was too clean 🔥🔥🔥. But Knox, you legit have to be the best rap TH-cam reactor. Your breakdowns are too detailed. Big ups man!!!
Please keep doing these breakdowns. They're the best on TH-cam and it's not close.
I only think Royce da 59 is on Eminem rapping level that’s why bad meets evil 👿 ép was a classic album 💿 even though it was short
Love the vid! Was waiting for this. One thing with Em’s first verse is Polyurethane is what you use on wood for a “finish” that’s a def double meaning there.
LL woke up and thought "y'all must've forgot" when he stepped into the studio for this one. 😂
It's an amazing track. So dense. Great breakdown...more than a couple I'd missed, but hey, only been a day. 😂
Knox always comes out with his inner shady on slim shady tracks
I knew you being a student of the game like you are and the love for bars and real lyricism that you'd appreciate this one, great reaction brother.
also tulips are common flowers for funerals
Amazing breakdown, Knox. I've been enjoying the track since it released. Thank you!
Hurricane is also a famous drink in New Orleans.. where Hurricane Katrina hit
Your break downs are off the chain. I want to hear your breakdowns of all rap that interests me. Look forward to sporting one of your caps
Just want to point out that BDK (Big Daddy Kane) part is also part of his sociopath scheme as it also sounds like BTK - (Bondage, Torture, Kill) serial killer.
Great catch!!
I hear you on the BTK, but Em literally says they feed me grapes... Like KH said, "That's Off Kane's Long Live The Kane Album Cover."
I've watched 3 reactions to this song and you have been the only one to pick up the BDK bars and where the mimiced sax sounds are from! Salute!
