The Wallbox Pulsar Plus also works on Octopus Intelligent 👍🏻 I have an MG4 Trophy & my Daughter has a Renault Megane E-Tech First Edition. Both work on the Intelligent tariff via my Wallbox Pulsar Plus.

I’ve just had first TCLR service with updates. I wanted guaranteed Tesla compatibility and MG UK charged my dealer £120 for the patch which was then passed onto me. No time to quibble as feature has been a great help while travelling through France

This has been valuable listening. In short, MG need to step up their game in terms of supporting owners and dealers. Having dealt with Chinese manufactures on other issues, it doesn't surprise me that their support is massively lacking.

Watching this having recently purchasing an MG5 Facelift. I have concerns with regards to servicing/updates etc. How can I have confidence that the dealer is able to update and service it correctly given that communications from MG China appears to be poor.

Mg is starting to out price themselves , the level of service & quality dont justify the prices. This 7 year Warrenty its about time they stopped pushing this as the cars Warrenty is the same or even worse than all other manufactures. The only thing covered by 7 years is the paint work. The seats & in car entertainment is only covered for 12 months I think.
And this thing MG has around only doing updates when its in for a service or you get charged is just wrong when its to fix software issues.
I was looking at the MG4 X power myself but after digging into it , yes & if you just want a brand new car it is the cheapest for the performance you get.
The trouble is the Volvo Ex30 Performance is available to order & that starts at only £4000 more than the MG4 X & performance is similar but its a Volvo so better residules & quality.
Buts its main issue is what you can buy instead with the £36,000 eg A under 2 year old Tesla Model 3 performance which means it still has 2 years Warrenty but its faster in all departments & has nearly double the Rapid charging speed at 250 kwh & nearly double AC charging at 11kw. Then its range is at least 50 miles more plus there is the entire supercharger network & its cheaper rates of electric for Tesla owners. Then there the frunk & bigger boot plus electric boot & charge flap , full glass roof. Thats before you even talk about the free updates all over the air not going to the dealer. The sound system & entertainment system is one of the best plus its very efficient & got to be the cheapest to run at motorway speeds. It has the best App for car control. Plus being just under or 2 years old its lost a lot of its depreciation already. But even if Tesla isn't your cup of Tea at the MG4 x price point there are jaguar I paces or Mercedes eqc or Audi Etron 55
So much choice. And with Mg not holding there money there PCP deals are more expensive than some cars that cost £40,000 & up.
