It's true about scammers. My mum was born and raised in Lahore but at the airport some of the staff tried to scam her for money. She has naturally light skin and light eyes so they assumed she's gori and started annoying her. She told them to back off and did things her own way. This was back in the 1990s.
I'm actually very surprised that Vloggers such as Jay Palfrey, Eva Zu beck, Rosie Gabrielle, Marc Wiens etc haven't mentioned encountering anything like this. Also on previous visits to Pakistan, I've noticed men in the street trying to touch up women including me even though I wear hijab and they tried the same with my sister even though she was walking with my dad- unbelievably shameless I wish I could have pepper sprayed those low lifes.
