Racism no doubt exists in our society and probably is much worse outside Islamabad, especially for the people of colour. A family moved in my street and are always keeping their guard up despite having one of the best neighbourhood, hands down. Probably because of similar experiences you shared, it's hard to trust. I'd love to interact but don't want them feeling weird.

Man, seeing a foreigner speeking Urdu so well in our local accents and also local languages like Punjabi and Pushto feels really good.
