The camera whip from teachable moment on graph to Hannah’s clean hookset while she calmy proclaims “yah” and reeks in her PB might be one of your best sequences
Just started my outdoors TH-cam channel and you are one of my main inspirations on the fishing front. Informational and a good christian dude. Thanks for helping us all out.
I go out early after ice out and side scan the grass flats before it starts to grow. Found logs, ditches, and other debris doing this. The grass will sometimes grow in thicker clumps around those spots. Also, most of where I fish is sand and clay bottom. A lot is bare of grass where deeper. But wherever there is structure (sunken wood, sunken ice huts, etc) clumps of grass will grow. I have 100s of these marked off and never feel the need to fish shallow because these always produce. In the summer and early fall, I can pull up to 20 bass from one of those 30' or so diameter patches.
Tyler can you make the same video on Boulders and rock reservoir. No laydowns or trees and very little grass/brush piles. The reservoir is largish and very deep with a narrow shallow shelf.
Given that my home reservoir here in florida has basically nothing but vegetation (no rocks, no docks, no standing timber) that’s all I focus on. Your tip about changing the frequency for shallow water and grass is huge and something most guys don’t understand about how their sonar works. The other is color pallet. The red/green pallet on a HB really helps to distinguish between hard & soft bottom. Forget all those other videos, just keep doing ones about vegetation … :)
Hi TRF, I'm a 15 year old from MN hoping to fish in college and possibly the pros one day. As I am learning I am missing some key tactics. I was wondering if you made a video about catching smallmouth on flats when they are hugging the bottom like they do on Mille Lacs. If you haven't maybe you could make one. Thanks!
Get a castable sonar, there are multiple brands out there. That will at least help you figure out how deep the areas you are fishing are, and help you discover some humps and lines
Awesome video man. I clicked on the link for the jig and it goes to a thunder cricket. But the thunder cricket is not weedless. Was it suppose to go to another jig?
Im starting to get tired of living in Texas. The only things I can fish at ponds is grass, grass lines, and more grass. but at the same time frog fishing

I agree! A super fun moment

Now that’s about the coolest ending, and the best way to prove your teaching, possible! Great info and great video.
I love fishing with my wife. It's always a great time.

That’s a really great idea! We don’t have ice out down south haha
I'm a big fan love your channel
It's awesome to see Hannah catching some big jaws with you.
It definitely is!
I hope you your able to do more bank videos. God bless bro.
Of course! The bank fishing content will return a lot more this fall
@@TylersReelFishing That's awesome, I look forward to it bro.
Your favorite part has been working out with Hannah. So awesome 👊🏼 Congrats to Hannah on her new PB!!

That’s what episode 4 is gonna be about!
Great video Tyler. Bass and grass, I think there is a reason they rhyme. God Bless.
I agree!
great video thanks
I fish from the bank. Love these videos as always. Don't stop. Good job Hannah. Let's go
she says thank you!!
Great content. I am learning so much from you.
Wow! You are a wealth of information. Great video!!
“It’s Fish” 🤣 Nothing better than that comment
Thank you for going into such detail!
And thank you for watching and commenting!

I will definitely do more! Got to make videos for everybody though
Make a video of you teaching Hannah how to use a bait caster
I probably will!
You should do a video for after marking your waypoints. Like how to position your boat and moving through those points.
I love your vids
Awesome video Tyler!! Very informative and the knowledge you pass on is greatly appreciated!! Tight Lines Brother!
Personally, I love these videos. Very informative! Definitely a huge help to newer anglers, like myself. Also, congrats Hannah on your new pb.
I’m so glad!
Outstanding! Thanks again for a great lesson.
And thank you so much for watching!
Have you done a video on how to set up color on graphs?
I may have touched on that in episode one, but really depends on your fishfinder, and the best settings for your water clarity and bottom composition

I also don't have forward facing or side imaging
Great Video Loved to learn thanks!
Thank you for watching!
So could fish be under a grass Matt to were the grass isn’t matted in the surface it’s underwater? And could you punch that for bass?
I mean, I guess you could, but usually “punching” implies the grass to have made a matter surface
@@TylersReelFishing ok I was just wondering I wouldn’t do it if jut fish a Texas rig for jig but that’s good to know
How do you figure out depth without fancy technology? All I have is a rod, reel, and lures.

No, the TC is not a weedless jig. Watch this video to learn about it: th-cam.com/video/y0EgWmJDeQk/w-d-xo.html
@@TylersReelFishing Awesome! Thanks Bud!
Forgot to ask….. where or when is part 4?
Linked in the video description!
Tyler, where in the country are you located?
Texas usually, but Minnesota in the summer
Just seen ya here in the twin cities 😜
I will be here through September!
Old intro > New intro
Whenever I want to watch the old intro I just go rewatch an older video.
It ain’t coming back Jeff lol
What is something a person can read to understand fishing more? I won’t be able to fish for the next year.
Bassmaster magazine, and all my TH-cam videos
@@TylersReelFishing lmao of course your videos but no internet access either.
@@peytonsimien4043 where are you going without internet and fish?
Im starting to get tired of living in Texas. The only things I can fish at ponds is grass, grass lines, and more grass. but at the same time frog fishing
Trust me, travel anywhere else besides Florida, and you will want to come back to Texas, at least for most of the year
Sacrifice to the algorithm
Just need a better sacrifice lol
Nice vid! I just uploaded my first couple videos do you think you could check them out and give me some advice?
