Back in the 70’s, my first two bikes was a 1971 Rupp Roadster 2 and a 1973 Honda CL125S. The Rupp was a mini bike with a CVT it technically had a 172cc lawn mower type engine but couldn’t keep up with my friends Honda CT 70. But it was fun to ride. My Honda CL 125 was my 1st street bike after I got my Motorcycle license and rode it in the highway sometimes but remember the speed limit was 55. Also rode it off road. Top speed was around 60. Can’t remember what the Rupp top speed was but wouldn’t take it on the highway for sure.

Did Skyline Drive, Gettysburg, Harpers Ferry a lot. My wife can ride onthe back too with really no influence on power. The key was to set the GPS TO avoid highways. Scenic old two lane roads and urban stuff was fine. I can getup to 67 and hold it but its a lot more comfortable cruising around 55 to 60. Kind of a sweet spot. I've ridden the ADV and its even a bit more capable as an update of the same bike. The Trail is amazing at what its named for...trails. Lol at the ‘need more power if your doing lots of highway miles’ - you know hundreds of people use these for transcontinental and round the world trips. Sydney to London for example, 20,000 miles.
I have an ADV 150...and a Kawasaki Concours 14...and the ADV is just as much funto ride. For tooling around town, the ADV is the better of the two...but in their own area of specialty, they are both very fun to ride.
Many years ago friends and myself ust to ride Yamaha fs1e,s from North Wales down to London to uni , had so much fun being dicks trying to make them go as quickly as possible, they never blew up even being held flat out for what seemed like hours
Lol 34 mile round trip is long? In my first year of riding I put 4000 miles on my little Chinese 150 scooter with 50 mile round trip commutes to work before I got my Honda CTX700.
I sure hope a gas tank doesn’t explode on you while you’re knocking drops off the nozzle. Metal on metal strikes on an open gas tank is a bad idea, and a bad habit you should break.
I love my SCub. Not a highway bike AT ALL. but I do back roads and small runs on by ways. 10 to 15 mile trips, got my route and I love it. I imagine this bike would RULE, in a gulf coast town
People have been using the Honda Supercub and its variants like the Honda Biz and Honda Wave to cross continents. They are way more than just a scooter, they can take anything you throw at them. This wasn’t a real “road trip” in my humble opinion.
I feel you are doing your viewers an injustice saying you can pick these up for about $3700. Dealers will add the destination charge, dealer prep, and TT&L, and you are probably closer to $5K?
I like the video. I really would like to see Honda make a 350ADV. A little more powerful and cheaper than a 750ADV and the same amount of storage as a 150 ADV. I am looking for the 150ADV to check out in person
Try drafting behind a tractor trailer rig. I did with a Honda 50, rang off the speedometer cable and burned a hole in the piston. It was still under warranty, so Honda fixed it for free and I traded on a bigger bike.
I hate to ask, but why didn't the rider on the ADV not be the person carrying the big backpack? You might have been able to go a smidge faster that way.
I used ride a 50cc cub step through after I lost my license. They tried get me for driving on suspended. My lawyer showed them ks drivers handbook. I beeped my horn as I rode off laughing.
Road trip? I do 400 mile trips on a 4 valve liquid cooled 125, including motorway action, thank god I was born in the 1970s, There is a guy on here who goes around the world on a C90, That’s adventure sometimes it’s not about comfort or speed it’s about the adventure 👍
I use to ride on my 50cc moped 34 miles round trip twice a week to college sum of it on dual carriage way with a 60 mph limit I'm doing 30 mph top speed
ill be getting the ADV 150. in asia scooters are king of the road. the super cub is more the posing bike, which is also cool - but if you need a MAIN bike then the ADV 150 is the way to go.
So I watched your insurance commercial and was cringing at being on back of the sportster and the fingers getting ready to be ground off by the rear tire when you went over a bump. 5:55 "Ride Smarter" and "carry enough liability for your passenger who may be injured while with you" ....along with spare fingers. You could probably increase your speed if you zip up that orange parachute you're wearing.

First time I've seen this TFL bike series 😎cool next gen host, there a good fit👍🏻
👊Peace✌
I travel thousands of miles on a super Cub.... No problems at all. The guy riding it in this video doesn't seem like a real fan of a legendary bike
ADV you didn't push it it was cruising at 60mph looks better to what was the MPG for both would have been nice to see.
That super cub you're using is being use for scooter cannonball run that is held every 2years
Many years ago friends and myself ust to ride Yamaha fs1e,s from North Wales down to London to uni , had so much fun being dicks trying to make them go as quickly as possible, they never blew up even being held flat out for what seemed like hours
that was awesome Alex & Kase, thx Tommy MJ
Cant wait for the trail version thats my kinda bike
Lol 34 mile round trip is long? In my first year of riding I put 4000 miles on my little Chinese 150 scooter with 50 mile round trip commutes to work before I got my Honda CTX700.
I love that drive. 36 is fun, I've just seen a lot of wildlife up there. That would be on my mind the whole time but I know an y'all are safe
excellent video yall. more like this for sure.
Awesome, fun video guys. Wonder if the wobble is from grooves in the road into Lyons.
I sure hope a gas tank doesn’t explode on you while you’re knocking drops off the nozzle. Metal on metal strikes on an open gas tank is a bad idea, and a bad habit you should break.
ahh,.... don't be a know-it-all, Lynn.
hi bro which one is more convenience for long road trip.
Super Cab is not available in our country, but we have the much modern looking Honda Wave 125i.
I love my SCub. Not a highway bike AT ALL. but I do back roads and small runs on by ways. 10 to 15 mile trips, got my route and I love it. I imagine this bike would RULE, in a gulf coast town
Hi guys. Merry chrismas to you all. Greetings from rich en youtube
It is even worse now. Best price I could get was $5900 for the adv150. One dealer wanted $6500!
I like the video. I really would like to see Honda make a 350ADV. A little more powerful and cheaper than a 750ADV and the same amount of storage as a 150 ADV. I am looking for the 150ADV to check out in person
250cc at least would be great.
Try drafting behind a tractor trailer rig. I did with a Honda 50, rang off the speedometer cable and burned a hole in the piston. It was still under warranty, so Honda fixed it for free and I traded on a bigger bike.
How did that sweet little orange beetle follow you up the hwy? Lol nice video boys!!
Cory Ernewein I just asked me the same thing! The other ride too! The Defender.
I hate to ask, but why didn't the rider on the ADV not be the person carrying the big backpack?
You might have been able to go a smidge faster that way.
you should go further to Estes Park!👍 i will meet you there with my 50cc Buddy!
I used ride a 50cc cub step through after I lost my license. They tried get me for driving on suspended. My lawyer showed them ks drivers handbook. I beeped my horn as I rode off laughing.
I'd love a 200cc Super Cub. There a big bore kit yet?
Why did you guys not wait to make this video when the ct125 hunter cub comes out in the states? Which is this month? Love your videos but?
The Honda cub is for trips to the soda fountain to get your sweetheart a root beer float.
Entertaining.
17 miles a long trip on a scooter!? hahaha
Road trip? I do 400 mile trips on a 4 valve liquid cooled 125, including motorway action, thank god I was born in the 1970s,
There is a guy on here who goes around the world on a C90,
That’s adventure sometimes it’s not about comfort or speed it’s about the adventure 👍
I use to ride on my 50cc moped 34 miles round trip twice a week to college sum of it on dual carriage way with a 60 mph limit I'm doing 30 mph top speed
I like the Super Cub more but I'm hoping the Trail 125 comes to Italy this year
To me, the ADV 150 is a nerd-mobile. At least the Super Cub has some retro-coolness about it. Both are city commuters.
ill be getting the ADV 150. in asia scooters are king of the road. the super cub is more the posing bike, which is also cool - but if you need a MAIN bike then the ADV 150 is the way to go.
The rear end shimmy may have been caused by low tire pressure?

Boulder to Lyons is not that far... making me miss living in Longmont though
If the C125 Super Cub had one additional gear, would that help?
Would be nice if the Super Cub could achieve 70+ mph and cruise at 65 mph, eh?
Nah, the bottleneck isn't the gearing it's the fact that it's only a 9.7 hp 125cc.
Yeah even with a 5th gear you're not getting more out of a 125cc engine. 60mph is already pretty impressive for an engine that small.
Hey Kase Quit yelling 😲 your catching air, ruining the aerodynamics and slowing that bike down. Can't tell who's screaming louder you or that engine 😂✌
Case close the mouth on the cub, to much wind resistance for that little bike!! 🤣🤣🤣
Honda ADV vs the Honda trail on road/ off road??🤔🤔
