There’s no Army that wants Suga out of BTS. Hes the second member. And between him and RM MANY BTS songs are written or co written by these two as well as producd. Suga being the main producer in bts. So no Armys have been supporting Suga fiercely. He made a mistake he owned up to and caused no injuries or damages. Its ridiculous to ruin this man’s musical career over this ya know
@@PoeticEnterprisesunfortunately the Korean media hate BTS because BTS got famous without going through the traditional media channels. They are always waiting for any hint of “controversy” so they can blow it out of the water.
Saying "it's a priviledge to be in bts" indicates he "came" to bts. That's wrong, he and the other members "made" the group. Without him there wouldn't be the bts we know. No army wants him to leave, there's a big hate campagne with a lot of fake news ongoing to destroy the group. All these "suga out" are not meant to save bts but for the bts' disbandment.
There is not a single song in Agust d's discography that doesnt have meaning. He is a heavy lyricist and a top notch producer. He is also known in the industry as Hands of a Midas. And you wont understand daechwita fully bcoz there is lot of culture refrences in the lyrics and video. There are lot of explanatory videos you can watch one of them and this song is the 1st part of trilogy.
@@PoeticEnterprises Daechwita is from his 2020 second mixtape; his first mixtape was released in 2016; his trilogy work was his 2023 D-Day album!!! Daechwita is part 1 of his trilogy, with Haegeum and Amygdala are pts 2 and 3 of the trilogy! All three of his works are very personal and biographical, as he tells his story of hardships and struggles, including his mental health issues of social anxiety, OCD and depression, even alluding to his suicide attempt!!!!! All three of his works are raw, urban and edgy, yet heartbreakingly beautiful, with D-Day being an album of pure genius; as he connects his two mixtapes into a cohesive ending to this persona of Agust D!!!!! Within each three works, there are clear themes of life and experiences that show that Suga is truly a prolific songwriter, hip-hop artist, composer, producer, and a musical genius of his generation!
With BTS, always turn on English subtitles. Their lyrics are very important and are one of the reasons for their popularity. They rarely sing about romantic love. It’s deeper than that. They sing about self-love, societal issues, their struggles with fame, mental health, etc. Thank you for going back and rewatching with subtitles.
@@PoeticEnterprises I actually think that the way you did it is the best way to react to BTS music videos: watch it the first time without the subtitles in order to focus on the music, vibe, and visuals and then rewatch it with the subtitles to focus on the lyrics. But, you should react to their content in whichever way brings you the most enjoyment. By the way, the scar is NOT real. 💜💜💜
I just want to say no real fan of BTS wants Suga to leave BTS because of what happened, it's mostly people who hate BTS and want their downfall are the ones who think that. He made a mistake and owned up to it. But it's worth noting members of other kpop groups have been kicked out of their groups for less than what Suga did so some might see it as unfair that their favorites didn't get the same grace that Suga received.
1. What suga did was barely wrong, maybe legally it was, but legality and morality aren’t the same thing, it’s was very clear he was more than sober enough to RIDE a scooter on a sidewalk, the only reason he fell was the sharp turn, and the only reason he got his silenced revoked was bc police officers happened to be nearby 2. BTS aren’t just a random K-pop group and suga is much more important to BTS (writer, producer) than random idol #2648 is to their group 3. The scandal culture and the standards K-pop stans hold their idols to is not something good, and I’m more than happy that BTS and ARMY can be leading examples of how to own up to your legal infractions and how to treat idols with a shred of humanity, I hope K-pop stans DO see Suga’s treatment as unfair and maybe stop treating their own favs like trash, maybe then something good would come out of this
@@PoeticEnterprisesAgree. All of it is ridiculous and both BTS & Suga/Agust D individually have expressed similar sentiments in their music (Look for the explanations of UGH & the Idol MV by BTS and Haegeum by Agust D). People have tried to make the general public in SK turn against BTS and/or to get them to disband/kick out a member ever since they started gaining international attention and particularly after they started winning awards only artists signed to one of the three “big” labels had previously gotten. Earlier this year a petition got enough signatures to force a government agency to formally investigate BTS for old chart manipulation allegations. This recent situation is the closest they have gotten to a “good” scandal reason bc it involved the police and they still had to lie and present false cctv to make it look a lot more serious than it was and claim he/his company had lied in their statements. If the real cctv had not surfaced who knows what would have resulted from it. As it is, at least one business entity (UPick) has claimed that an organization which regulates advertising prohibited them from showing his name/image on an ad featuring BTS. International press have given most of it well-deserved side-eye, but local public pressure re: celebrity “scandals” in SK can be extremely vicious and it has often resulted in the target ☠️ themselves whether “guilty” of the accusation or not. Regardless of evidence a lot of people believe whatever they want to believe.
Suga's DUI incident was a paid and orchestrated smear campaign against BTS. He actually wanted to do the right thing, he knew he had a couple of drinks with dinner so he didn't want to drive, he rode his scooter instead. And the law about it is so new that it took the police nearly two weeks to figure out what regulations are applicable in this case and they needed to get the Ministry of Transportation involved. Not just Suga, literally nobody in the country knew about the laws surrounding electric scooters, including the Minister of Transportation himself, he gave a wrong answer when directly asked about it. He toppled over after taking a sharp turn towards his gates, before that he was traveling at near walking speed while wearing a helmet. Surveillance camera footage is available for everybody to see. The whole thing was blown out of proportions, it was a silly thing that would have warranted a ticket at the most, not the weeks of hell he was put through.
Suga and RM were both part of the underground Hip Hop scene(before they were BTS) as Rapper's and Sugawas also a Producer he was signed to BigHit as a Producer/Rapper.
That gun is a old army Colt and represents ARMY (fandom) he's killing off the side of himself he doesn't like the greedy, angry part of himself that was required to keep him going when first wanted to do music where he started playing piano at a young age.
Thanks for the reaction, the research, and for going back and listening to it with the lyrics. Regarding the money and clothes, he was saying he may have achieved those things but now he just wants to come/stay down to earth (put my feet on the ground). The video is a duel between his egotistical side/tendency that comes with fame and success, and his more humble side.
@@PoeticEnterprisesExactly. This is another reason why the exaggerated fallout to the scooter incident irritates me so much: Someone else with similar wealth/status might insist on having a driver take them everywhere in a big obnoxious limo or something but he’s too unpretentious for that. In hindsight, he certainly *could* have called the company and have staff pick him up and drive him the 500meters between his studio and his residence rather than ride a scooter, but it likely didn’t occur to him to “impose”, particularly while he is fulfilling his military service as any other regular citizen. Yet, if he sticks to drivers from here on to avoid even the slightest possibility of a repeat incident, I can guarantee many of the same people criticizing him now will accuse him of being full of himself, arrogant and/or hypocritical.
He said in one of Suchwita episode, that he does not want to be an actor but if he was he would be the silent character who dies in the beginning of the movie😂😂😂😂
New sub here, Daechwita has a trilogy. Daechwita + Haegum + Amygdala respectively, so please do check And Suga electric scooter incident is over , its the Korean media that was making the buzz making it look so controversial.
Absolutely have to watch the trilogy in order, always with subtitles on. And pause a sec at the end as just when you think their videos are over, they're not. And some link to others.
The 2 people who get into the fight behind him in the market place are his fellow band members Jin and Jung Kook the oldest and youngest members. The 6 guys with him in the car represent his 6 BTS band members his 'Crew'. The picture he hold up was created by one his Band members and is of the person who signed them to their label that is Bang PD. The MV was all Suga's idea as was the second part of the triology Haeguem plus there's the last part of the triology Amygdala. The Daechwita is on his mix tape D-2 while the Haeguem and Amygdala are on his record breaking Album D-Day the only Rap Album to sell over 1million copies on it's release date, as many of us pre-ordered it straight from South Korea.
The one woman in Daechwita, as is usual with them, represents ARMY, the one who holds the "key" to them being able to go forward / drive ahead/ keep going. If you pause the video at just the right moment, at 3:32 on this reaction video, she even has the letters AMI, Korean for ARMY, on the fingernails of the hand that .is on top of the key box she has opened.
AgustD aka Suga of BTS is an amazing rapper and a genius composer, he make everything from nusic to lyrics. Daechwita is the first part of a trilogy next will be Haegeum and at the end Amygdala. You will love to hear Snooze, Shadow, and so many of his work.... Its amazing. With the rap line it's just crazy. And with the whole BTS .... Just wow you need to hear and have your own experience. BTS are 7 without 7 it's NOT BTS
I’m sure you’ve already heard, but BTS breaks all boundaries. I’m a 47 year old mother from Iowa and I had the privilege of seeing AGUST D in concert last year in Chicago. But concert ever. These men are wonderful humans making the world better. And extremely talented. Throw out every idea you have of KPop. We purple you💜
I'm not sure how much you know about Min YoonGi aka Suga/AugstD....but as you liked his MV then the following info might be of interest to you. Suga/Agust D began writing music lyrics and working with MIDI at age 11 and held a part-time job composing and arranging music at a recording studio at age 16. Active under the name "Gloss" (wordplay on his name YoonGi, which means "to shine") as an underground rapper in his hometown Daegu, He originally entered Big Hit Entertainment as a producer at age 17 and became the second member to join BTS..... At BTS debut in 2013 he was 20 y.o.... he is one of BTSs main producers/songwriters/composers and has over 150 song copyrights.... he also produces for other artists and has won awards for his work.... he is one of the fastest rappers in South Korea. Suga (SHU-GA.... from Shooting Guard - the position he played in basketball) ...... AgustD = SUGA + DT (Daegu Town - his hometown) Spelt Backwards Between his commitments as a member of BTS, Suga/Agust D took advantage of time on the plane and in hotel rooms after concerts to continuously produce, write and compose music. In an interview for Grazia Korea, Suga/Agust D expressed a desire to release the music he wanted to do without having to consider popular appeal or music ranking. He intended to release his music for free in the form of a mixtape to avoid such considerations, commenting that an album "has a feeling of being trapped in some sort of framework" due to the need for company involvement in promotion and advertising. He has released 2 mixtapes - and last year released his first official album (of which he continues to maintain full creative control) Developing Agust D musically on the base of hip hop, much of Agust D's inspiration for the lyrics came from his own stories of dream, youth, and reality. In order to differentiate his work from that of his work as Suga, he developed the alter ego "Agust D". He is best known for his honest hardhitting lyrics. Bookish Theories TH-cam channel has really good explanations to BTS videos as there is a lot of cultural references and depth to this song that really will blow your mind This is the first song in a trilogy..... He is a master storyteller.... a fellow army best explained the trilogy as - Daechwita... ridding himself of the need to prove his worth to others Haegeum... ridding himself of the confines of modern society Amygdala... he investigates the inner demons and trauma that started his confinement in the first place. Suga/AgustD wrote, composed and produced the songs, he conceptualised the MVs and had creative control (working as usual with Director Lumpens (Choi YongSeok) who does most BTS MVs) Fun facts - The gun used was a Colt M 1860 ARMY Daechwita is Traditional Joseon Korean Royal Parade/Military Music - notifying all that the king is here Yoongi(Suga) is a member of the clan of the very last empress of Korea. Daejanggeum Park is where the MV was filmed.... It is a giant film set that doubles as a public historical park where people can come to "experience" old times. Hope you have a great day💜💜Sending Greetings from Australia
From your name I think you would enjoy the lyricism of RM( leader of BTS formerly known as Rap Monster, leader of BTS and the most experimental) a great lyricist whether on his own song WILDFLOWER or on fellow BTS members solo songs such as V SINGULARITY
I don't think you should be talking about Suga's accident any more. The crap that was said about him was horrid, the Korean media is cruel, and it's a remnant of the shaming culture of Korea. They and the people who hate BTS had a great time tearing him down. People hate BTS because they are so successful and no one match them. In addition, Suga is a very sensitive man with a painful background. Army knows this because he lays it out on the stage. A famous actor was pressured into shame so badly by the press and police that he killed himself, even though he wasn't guilty. Armies all over the world pulled together to support him, including parades, billboard on Sunset Strip and visible landmarks in major cities. Some of us were afraid he'd harm himself. Others literally forced the media to take articles and pictures off their webpages. Can you imagine a three-hour interrogation for a minor accident ending with a ticket and a fine? And he shouldn't have to bow and apologize to a bunch of reporters and the public. It makes me ill. Please don't talk about him any more. It's gossip at this point and will just rile up the haters. I'd even say go back and cut that out of your video.
The DKDK TV explanation explains the historical references very well, and for rap line songs they are usually the best source, but for Daechwita the Bookish Theories explanation video is actually closer to what Suga himself said the song is about. So I think that one ia actually better.
If you do not watch DKDKTV DAECHWITA. You will miss out on all the genius historical references that give this a depth of cultural meanings so you will miss out on the genius of this rap. Plus all the non pg translations and slang meanings like ' dead mans time' ..... DKDKTV is essential for many of thecrsp line songs as the lyrical content are what makes BTS rap line world class.
This is part of a trilogy. Heageum and amygdala are next. You should check out the last, First love, his whole D-day album is great, polar night and snooze are a couple of standouts
BTS consists of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. They debuted on June 13, 2013 and their music consists of various genres. They are known for their lyricism, and great live performances. When listening to their music, you might want to turn on the captions and pay close attention, especially to their early songs. You might want to check out Fake Love, Black Swan, ON-Kinetic Manifesto, Idol, DNA, Not Today, Dope, Blood-Sweat & Tears, Boy with Luv, The Cyphers, UGH, etc. There is just so much good music. Hope you enjoy.
After Daechwita was released he was send some scripts for shows and/or movies, unfortunately he thinks he has no talend in acting and refused all of them.. he has no intention to act.. 😭 At least we get his music videos.. "Haegeum" and "Amygdala" are little movies as well.. 💜 to check out next: RM: "Wildflower" & "Nuts" SUGA: "Haegeum" & "Amygdala" j-hope: "More" & "Arson" Jin: "The Astronaut" Jimin: "Set Me Free Pt. 2" & "Who" V: "Rainy Days" & "Slow Dancing" Jungkook (or JK): "Standing Next to You" & "Seven"
Since you guys are called poetic enterprises, I recommend the one and only poet, Kim Namjoon (RM), the main writer and leader of BTS His entire mixtape “Mono” is pure poetry, also recommend the songs yun, frog_tful and wildflower from his album “indigo” and the song come back to me from his most recent album “Right Place, Wrong Person”
@@SusieQ1955 I think you don't know what the word grammar even means, what you probably meant to say was semantics matters. And yes, words have meanings and they do matter. For example, the words writer and poet do not mean the same thing and can't be used interchangeably. Where did I say that Suga, JHpope or any of the other members don't write songs? RM is the one and only POET (not writer) bc he is the one who has poetic lyrics and always has been, which makes sense, he was winning poetry contests LONG before BTS, hence the line in wildflower "my beginning was poetry, my one and only strengh and dream that has protected me this far". I guess RM praise just makes you feel some type of way huh? I wonder why that is.....
ARMY actually got one of the new stations that made false news reports, have to apologize... it wasn't much of one, but it was something. We even got companies to pull their advertisements from that news channel. The media was writing 40+ articles about him every day... over 1400 in one week. A member of a different kpop group was accused of SA and there was barely a blip on the media radar, but SUGA rode a scooter 1/3 of a mile, in a straight line on the designated path, at 2 miles per hour, and tipped over right in front of the gate to his home after taking a sharp turn... I will forever be dumbfounded by a Country's media trying so hard to bring down a musical group that brings in almost 1% of the entire Country's GDP and has made MILLIONS of people around the globe recognize and appreciate their culture.
First, thank you for your research and understanding of Yoongi's incident. As you've realized, it was blown way out of proportion! Second, I'm sure someone has already told you, but just in case, this is the first in a trilogy of Agust D songs (Daechwita, Haegeum, and Amygdala). You'll dinnertime want to watch them all. For Daechwita, there is also an explanation video on TH-cam that is fascinating. I believe it's on DKDKTV channel. Last, I don't know if you were watching subtitles or not, but when watching any BTS video, you definitely want the English subtitles on (NOT the auto-generated, though! That doesn't work.) BTS lyrics are often very deep and meaningful, touching on important social issues. You'll want to set them so you, as well as your watchers, can see them. Again, thank you for your reaction. It will be fun to watch your BTS journey! 💜
Even the lawmakers -- who are supposed to know if his little collapsible scooter counted as a "mobility vehicle" -- didn't know. That led to a delay in the investigation because no one knew if a "crime" had even happened. So it was ridiculous to think SUGA would have known it was a problem if the LAW didn't even know. Also, his little scooter didn't require a license and topped out at 18mph (without the little basket attachment to slow it down). He trundled along at walking speed for 500 feet, on a wide sidewalk containing very few people. The whole thing was such an obvious character assassination. I'm so irritated that it's still floating around to smear him. (not irritated with you, just that this is still a thing.)
🥹🫶 ooh thanks for doing your own research and not falling for misinformation. There's a video on Boracity that explained everything, it really was a very complicated time for ARMY, unfortunately there are communities that continue to use SUGA as a cover for situations that have nothing to do with it, I just hope that day he does a live and tells us that he is okay. and that he never doubts the love and understanding that his true fans have. I liked your reaction thank you very much, there is so much in this video that an explanation is needed, but I know that ARMY will give it to you; a fact that AGUST D or Suga thinks about the details of this video, he really gets involved in the whole process of creating his music. P.S.: I'm sorry if I can't express myself well, but I don't know English, use a translator. And please once his discography is finished, you can react to his concert, it was so incredible. Thank you💜

All seven members speak Korean and Japanese (since Korea is such a small market, most singers also learn Japanese to take advantage of that market). Rm, their leader, is the only one fluent in English, but all of them can speak some English and some are actively taking English classes. A ton of their songs have either words or phrases in English.
thanks for your reaction and welcome in the biggest and deepest rabbithole there is 😇🥰 I dunno, if someone already said it, but this MV has a few easter eggs, but, to me the best is (at 3:07 of your reaction to keep it easy) the 2 guys fighting behind Yoongi? thats Jin (with the headband) and Jungkook, both also members of BTS ;)
sorry for writing so much and hope it makes sense but please dive deeper into bts music and the members solo music lyrics are very important and please also react to boracity magazines videos and bts hardships 2021 by xceleste we will watch non music reactions in full every boracity video will help you learn about bts or related to bts we dont care how long the videos are so please react to them :)
Daechwita is the song that you hear at the very beginning of the MV and you hear throughout the song. Suga used the traditional percussion and wind instruments that are used to play the traditional Daechwita for his own version. The song was used to announce the king was arriving (get off the road, get out of the way, bow down). It was later used for the King's army while marching. Respectively, no one opens for BTS, save ARMY. ARMYs show up to the venue hours before the concert so we can mingle, meet up with friends we made online, hand out freebies (small gifts/goodies we bring for other ARMYs). Going into the venue is entering a purple wave--the stadium is lit with purple lights, the large screen plays MVs, we have our ARMY Bombs (light sticks), and we sing along with the videos, and meet the people around us. The concert itself is about 3+ hours long.
Definitely need to react to the whole trilogy. Daeschwita/Haegum/Amygdala. I think you will really be able to appreciate the depth of their work and message. Love your reaction to this! I subscribed just now and will be looking for more BTS reactions perhaps soon. 💜👑💜👑💜👑💜👑💜👑💜👑💜👑
The storm the haters created around a silly event is disgusting. But it helped me to understand how horrible have been the haters' actions during these ten years. It's absolutely awful!
This is the first song of his three song trilogy next is HAEGEUM and AMYGALA.😊 #SupportSUGA He really needs to know even people who don’t know them can at least semi understand that he did NOTHING wrong except made a self misjudgement by drinking abit too much thinking it was going to be okay if he semi driven a harmless e-scooter home. If it was a regular citizen the media wouldnt even care and police only five them and give a warning but when its a celebrity, oh no they have to literally do everything to mentally and physically humiliate them to the core until they get what they want 😡
So this song is the first in a trilogy. The others in order are Haegeum and Amygdala. The scar is a big part of the storyline. He doesn't have it in real life. I highly recommend checking out the other 2 MVs and the explanation videos for all 3. The man is a musical genius and storyteller.
Suga aka Agust D is phenomenal. Best rapper period. He is a musical genius. You need to react to the next two songs which are part of the trilogy. Daechwita you’ve done Next is Haegeum and finally Amygdala. But he has a ton more of amazing music to hear. He writes and produces everything. Check out The Last by Agust D. He’s amazing 💜
people won't openly mention this but yoongi (suga) has repeatedly made it clear that he is heavily leftist if not socialist (he's probably socialist) but in a good way not the heavily implicated way of history. all of his last album references the idea that he supports the plight of the poor worker, that he hates the rich, and that he believes society has been degraded by a constant fixation on capitalism and war. yoongi is incredibly talented and creative and bts is his outlet bc it was the best way to have an impact globally and he was right
All BTS members are fluent in Japanese as well as their native Korean. All know some English which has improved over the years, and some are getting near fluent. RM is completely fluent in English as he taught himself as a child (because he is a literal genius.)
2 BTS members fighting in background....Please react to "Daechwita explained by a Korean" by DKDKTV ...it is in English💜💜PS he wrote and produced this song as well
Fun fact: When Yoongi heard he would be doing a sword dance he literally went out and bought a real sword from a master sword smith. BTS, (especially RM and Suga grew up on old school hip hop and they were originally meant to be more of a rap/hip hop heavy group
As Jin is the only one that is NOT in the military right now... i think a Jin solo song would be nice! This song he did as a goodbye song to army before he enlisted way back in dec 2022. One thing you can have in mind watching the video is....Army was established as BTS official fandom 9 july 2013... so in 2022 Army was about 9 years old. "The austronaut" by Jin! : th-cam.com/video/c6ASQOwKkhk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NnwcSVEOcdxlLF6p The live version together with Coldplay in Buenos Aires, Argentina: th-cam.com/video/zvVlubxsDYE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ziIkPOhSsupHao0H
He fell off a razor scooter that the government didn't even know if it was illegal. No normal person would punish him more then the fine he just got. Like didn't even effect his license.
Daechwita is a type of military music that they play when the king arrives. Scootergate was the most overblown scandal of celebrity scandals ever. solo songs to check out. Jimin Who, Jungkook Standing next to you, V Slow Dancing, Jin -The astronaut, J hope - Arson. BTS OT7 songs, On Kinetic Manifesto film, Black Swan, Fake Love, Boy with love
Just found you and subscribed You’ve already received a lot (a lot lol) Of info For my Part I wanted to suggest an intro to the rap line of RM,Suga and j-hope Cipher 2 & 3 No MV but decent lyric videos by dial 6137 And outro:tear live from Wembley IMHO a masterpiece written not about a romantic break-up but about their possible Disbandment in 2017-18 Captions are on the video If you are looking for translated lyrics the best (the only) source is doolset… not Just lyrics, also cultural References and Wordplay… In the words of BTS Jimin “you Nice, keep Going) 💜🇨🇦
love the reaction!! look deeper into agust d and bts. i suggest agust d polar night lyrics zaty farhani channel. after that songs lyrics everything i say below will make a little more sense instead of looking like a conspiracy. just fyi all bts members write their own lyrics do all genres and are real in their music. the topics they speak on are why the suga situation is so angering because we know why it was blown out of proportion no one truly cares about a kickboard or who rode it or if they were drinking. its all performative and youll understand why after reacting to that song and reading what i said below :) sadly a lot of what media say is BS lies and rumors and we in the west see it as 'normal' we know media may lie etc and a lot of things in other places are not big deals to us. in korea tho the media has been a tool to fight against corruption i mean thats everywhere but especially in korea during old history and newer history moments media has helped expose the truth so in korea a lot believe it and dont look deeper which is dangerous as if/when the media lies the lies are believed and that happens here too but in different ways due to cultural differences.
for example the dark side of kpop stuff is spread here in the states because we cant all fact check if we dont know where to look especially if we dont know the language its easier to believe lies the media says about other countries from political all the way to entertainment "news". in korea its the same for outside korea they believe whatever their media says but also inside korea theyll believe more often what is said while we have more of a research first before believing for our own news. its more situational here that some things we'll just take at face value others we'll dig deeper if it sounds off. all that being said most media about bts when its in the negative sense is usually wrong/misinformation/lies/exaggeration etc not that bts cant be wrong they can but the way media frames it is just not truthful.
so in korea theres scandal culture and basically that means celebrities in korea get cancelled and its REAL not just omg cancel culture is fake like it is here. but in korea and asian countries its very real you lose everything especially if it turns out to be fact. but even when its not proven as fact or if its proven false some have still lose their careers some even took their own lives and thats the REAL reason for the celebrities who unalived you may have seen news over the years of kpop stars or korean celebrities unaliving themselves and media frames it as the industry and its dark theyre mistreated this kpop is bad blah blah. when in reality the false news and lies and hate they got in korea from media and the public are what caused many of them to choose that as well as their labels not supporting them/having their backs. its never been "the industry, kpop dark side" etc its always been "the korean media and western media who dont fact check and just copy paste what was said in korean media, the public not looking deeper and western/global public believing what was spoon fed to them and labels/entertainment agency's being scared of losing public support so dont help the celebrities even if innocent"
the reason suga's case is so big and so twisted is due to it being one of the only times in 11 years they caught a bts member doing something wrong even if very minor mistake. and thats due to bts gaining success WITHOUT any media or industry support. that seems impossible due to what you may think about kpop because of media influence. but bts got big globally first before korea. bts started at bighit their label that was almost bankrupt they had no money or connections to perform on tv in korea often, they were cut from performances if bigger or more resourced groups needed the spot even brand new groups from larger labels would be able to replace bts due to no "friendship" with that network. they wouldnt be interviewed or invited to game shows or talk shows in korea and if they were the hosts would force them to do humiliating things or ask them negative questions and gaslight them into looking bad so the media can then write articles and the public can see the lies and hate on bts. most positive news of bts was hidden as the big labels had money, investments, stocks, friendships etc with journalists, media networks, news sites and even the google of korea so all of that was able to hide, blacklist and censor bts from the korean public.
only word of mouth is what got bts to have fans in korea. and it was a good amount but nothing compared to what they have now. when bts got a billboard award in 2017 is when korea could no longer not report on them & especially couldnt negatively report on them so what theyd do is report more often but add other groups or other labels or do petty and shady remarks to show the public how big they are the least amount of times they framed it as a casual thing equal to the big groups in korea so the public doesnt see it as remarkable etc. this then let the western media outlets in english speaking countries push the kpop narrative instead of bts only. so people thought kpop is big when it was only bts for a while. now more groups are bigger than they used to be but bts is still the biggest even when on hiatus.
all of this leads to my point of media lying so much about bts that anything media says is believed because if theyre not a fan in korea the korean public is still unaware of how ground breaking bts is. so last year idk if you heard about the movie parasite but they won a oscar. so the actors and director were seen same level as bts popularity which they deserve but after this one of the main actors was blackmailed his only confirmed mistake is cheating on his wife especially while having kids. but its not illegal he didnt cheat with a minor or something so while its morally not right theres no reason the public or law should get involved with that situation as its personal. (i know youre thinking in the states relationships are always talked about on news & as gossip especially cheating and divorces etc but in korea its not seen as being nosy or tea or something to laugh about its career ending in korea as reputation is very much a way to controll the celebrities thats not a kpop thing its a korean celebrity thing occurs from gamers, to youtubers, to actors, to athletes, to artists all have that same if you do something the public dont like even if not against the law your career is done over 90% of the time not the cancel culture we see in the west where some may unfollow you but some dont and you dont really lose everything it depends on the crime also while in korea it doesnt have to be a crime at all)
BTS and Kpop concerts in general have no openings acts. They don't need them because they usually performed 2 or more hours without them. I've been to a lot of kpop concerts in the US and they don't have openings artists.
You need to watch DKDKTV’s explanation of this to understand the cultural references. Yes, you’re right Daechwita is the military music which was played when the king moved from one place. All BTS songs have varying amounts of English in them. Yoongi speaks Korean of course and some English and Japanese. He can speak a lot more English than he lets on. He claims he can’t act but seeing him in his mvs he really can. Wait until you see him in Haegum, He has only acted in mvs and BTS skits. This is the first of a trilogy. Haegum comes next then Amygdala. You should also watch him perform them live during his D-Day tour. You can also witness this raw emotion when singing songs with very personal meaning to him. Whether he will return as Agust D remains to be seen. He said he’d killed Min Yoongi and that he’d said all he’d wanted to as Agust D but 20 months as a public service agent may cause him to continue in that persona or he may have developed a new one. Don’t use auto generated lyrics. The best translations are by Doolset Lyrics but there are videos with good translations too.
Loved the reaction. Please do turn on subtitles so you can understand the lyricism behind Suga There is also a channel: DKDKTV who explains the history/ in most BTS videos
Ok, guys, if you need to understand this you should probably watch DKDKTV. They're two Korean guys who explain the meanings of some of BTS' songs. There's so much of Korean culture that just doesn't translate well. Another explanation channel that I watch is Bookish Theories. She did a great deep dive into the hidden aspects of this video. Edit: the horns and drums are traditional Korean instruments.
BTS songs include some English parts as well, out of the 7 bts members only 1 can speak fluent English others are still learning. They also have some full English songs too like ‘Butter’ ‘dynamite’ ‘seven’ ‘3d’ and more
They are learning English.....only RM is fluent in English and in a live 3 of them said that they need to brush up on their Japanese . Because they couldn't read the comments written in Japanese from Japanese army
@@PoeticEnterprisesjust a correction, suga is not fluent in English, he understands it way better than he can speak it. RM is the one who is fluent in all 3 languages V (one of the vocalists) is fluent in Japanese too Jin (one of the vocalists) speaks mandarin pretty well, better than the rest
Thank you for checking BTS out. I would love it if you checked out j-hope's 'Arson' next. That way you can complete the rap line and move on to the vocal line, if you want💜 P.S.: Real ARMY stands by SUGA and BTS. We want all seven of them together; korean media and antis spread only misinformation and lies in order to manipulate the general public's opinion.
Its ridiculous to ruin this man’s musical career over this ya know
Absolutely agree with you on that one. No one should take music away from anyone.
@@PoeticEnterprisesunfortunately the Korean media hate BTS because BTS got famous without going through the traditional media channels. They are always waiting for any hint of “controversy” so they can blow it out of the water.
@@PoeticEnterprisesthe ones who want is the haters because they dream is to end bts to they favs shine 😂
It wasn't the ARMY who was calling for Suga to be removed etc it was the anti's
For sure!
We see that he has a lot of songs under his belt. Truly a genius!
Dkdktv video intrepretation is a must watch for Korean cultural references as intrepreted by a Korean.
And we'd love to see more of it!
We think it's ridiculous regardless, 😁
1. What suga did was barely wrong, maybe legally it was, but legality and morality aren’t the same thing, it’s was very clear he was more than sober enough to RIDE a scooter on a sidewalk, the only reason he fell was the sharp turn, and the only reason he got his silenced revoked was bc police officers happened to be nearby
2. BTS aren’t just a random K-pop group and suga is much more important to BTS (writer, producer) than random idol #2648 is to their group
Honestly, they are so cool!
That is a really good way to perceive things. Hope everyone's like him, haha
Daechwita is the type of Traditional Korean music that was used by the military and the Emperior it means the Emperior/military is coming to town.
Yeah, we read about this, but thank you for the insight as well
New sub here, Daechwita has a trilogy. Daechwita + Haegum + Amygdala respectively, so please do check
And Suga electric scooter incident is over , its the Korean media that was making the buzz making it look so controversial.
Yesssss!
Woof! We should definitely check those out as well. Thank you!
Fun fact his Studio is called Genius Lab.
Very fitting indeed!
If you love lyricism, you'll like 'Snooze' by Agust-D
The stories about Suga were a smear campaign & way over blown for what happened. He road 500M on a kick board.
We purple you💜
Suga is also a brilliant producer
Dkdktv has a explanation for this MV ..plizz react ..thx for Agust d
AgustD = SUGA + DT (Daegu Town - his hometown) Spelt Backwards
Between his commitments as a member of BTS, Suga/Agust D took advantage of time on the plane and in hotel rooms after concerts to continuously produce, write and compose music.
He has released 2 mixtapes - and last year released his first official album (of which he continues to maintain full creative control)
Developing Agust D musically on the base of hip hop, much of Agust D's inspiration for the lyrics came from his own stories of dream, youth, and reality. In order to differentiate his work from that of his work as Suga, he developed the alter ego "Agust D". He is best known for his honest hardhitting lyrics.
Bookish Theories TH-cam channel has really good explanations to BTS videos as there is a lot of cultural references and depth to this song that really will blow your mind
This is the first song in a trilogy..... He is a master storyteller.... a fellow army best explained the trilogy as -
Daechwita... ridding himself of the need to prove his worth to others
Haegeum... ridding himself of the confines of modern society
Amygdala... he investigates the inner demons and trauma that started his confinement in the first place.
Suga/AgustD wrote, composed and produced the songs, he conceptualised the MVs and had creative control (working as usual with Director Lumpens (Choi YongSeok) who does most BTS MVs)
Fun facts -
The gun used was a Colt M 1860 ARMY
Daechwita is Traditional Joseon Korean Royal Parade/Military Music - notifying all that the king is here
Yoongi(Suga) is a member of the clan of the very last empress of Korea.
Daejanggeum Park is where the MV was filmed.... It is a giant film set that doubles as a public historical park where people can come to "experience" old times.
Hope you have a great day💜💜Sending Greetings from Australia
Saw AgustD aka Suga aka Yoongi in LA in concert. After his solo aldum D-Day was released, He's incredible. I won't ever forget
For non pg translations many cultural and historical references you would never get as a non korean DKDKTV DAECHITWA EXPLAINED
He´s a KING, a BOSS, a freaking GENIUS!
Min Genius!
@@PoeticEnterprisesthis was such an on brand comment 😳💜 “Min Genius”. Y’all are so ARMY coded, you’re gonna enjoy this journey.
This is part of a trilogy. Heageum and amygdala are next. You should check out the last, First love, his whole D-day album is great, polar night and snooze are a couple of standouts
Will do, thank you for your recos
BTS consists of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. They debuted on June 13, 2013 and their music consists of various genres. They are known for their lyricism, and great live performances. When listening to their music, you might want to turn on the captions and pay close attention, especially to their early songs. You might want to check out Fake Love, Black Swan, ON-Kinetic Manifesto, Idol, DNA, Not Today, Dope, Blood-Sweat & Tears, Boy with Luv, The Cyphers, UGH, etc. There is just so much good music. Hope you enjoy.
'Daechwita' is traditional military music that used to be played during the King's procession.
After Daechwita was released he was send some scripts for shows and/or movies, unfortunately he thinks he has no talend in acting and refused all of them.. he has no intention to act.. 😭
At least we get his music videos.. "Haegeum" and "Amygdala" are little movies as well.. 💜
to check out next:
RM: "Wildflower" & "Nuts"
SUGA: "Haegeum" & "Amygdala"
j-hope: "More" & "Arson"
Jin: "The Astronaut"
Jimin: "Set Me Free Pt. 2" & "Who"
V: "Rainy Days" & "Slow Dancing"
Jungkook (or JK): "Standing Next to You" & "Seven"
Since you guys are called poetic enterprises, I recommend the one and only poet, Kim Namjoon (RM), the main writer and leader of BTS
His entire mixtape “Mono” is pure poetry, also recommend the songs yun, frog_tful and wildflower from his album “indigo” and the song come back to me from his most recent album “Right Place, Wrong Person”
He's not the one and only poet, He's the one and only RM. (Grammar matters.) Suga writes many of the songs and all others write songs too.
Also, Give it to me and Agust D by Agust D.
This is part of 3 mv series! Plz react tp Agust D next song "Haegum"
Will defo check this out as well
ARMY actually got one of the new stations that made false news reports, have to apologize... it wasn't much of one, but it was something.
Thanks, guys!
I Love Music of Suga!
You must watch cypher ,amygdala and haegum and snooze . I am a grand mom and love all BTS members and songs . ❤❤❤
check out his background - life, struggles with health. his albums are a true reflection of him. genius .
Don't we all? But kudos for him using these as guns. Definitely conquered!
Thank you💜
The beat doesn’t change. Only his flow. And turn on the subtitles because he is a great lyricist too.

All seven members speak Korean and Japanese (since Korea is such a small market, most singers also learn Japanese to take advantage of that market). Rm, their leader, is the only one fluent in English, but all of them can speak some English and some are actively taking English classes. A ton of their songs have either words or phrases in English.
They can speak Japanese , and 2022 he taken class for English. So now i think he can speak English also
They also have japanese albums/songs
subscribed for more BTS and it's members project. love your reaction...
thanks for your reaction and welcome in the biggest and deepest rabbithole there is 😇🥰 I dunno, if someone already said it, but this MV has a few easter eggs, but, to me the best is (at 3:07 of your reaction to keep it easy) the 2 guys fighting behind Yoongi? thats Jin (with the headband) and Jungkook, both also members of BTS ;)

Thanks for the reaction, Suga is truly an amazing rapper. Please react to Fake love by BTS💜
BTS has won awards in over 115 countries.......AND the only band in the world who played a concert in Saudi Arabia
(by request of the prince)
After you watch the second part, Haegeum - please react to the dance practice for Haegeum. It’s really impressive.
This wasn't even a scooter that you need a license to drive it was classified as a personal mobility device so antis were really stretching.
10:08 As far as I know, SUGA can speak 3 languages - Korean, Japanese, and English( which he is still trying to get fluent with). He's a genius.
Watch a GUIDE TO BTS by Taylor Mari. The 7 members created BTS. 7 talented guys. 💜🇧🇷
people won't openly mention this but yoongi (suga) has repeatedly made it clear that he is heavily leftist if not socialist (he's probably socialist) but in a good way not the heavily implicated way of history. all of his last album references the idea that he supports the plight of the poor worker, that he hates the rich, and that he believes society has been degraded by a constant fixation on capitalism and war. yoongi is incredibly talented and creative and bts is his outlet bc it was the best way to have an impact globally and he was right
I love this music video! it's just perfect
All BTS members are fluent in Japanese as well as their native Korean. All know some English which has improved over the years, and some are getting near fluent. RM is completely fluent in English as he taught himself as a child (because he is a literal genius.)
2 BTS members fighting in background....Please react to "Daechwita explained by a Korean" by DKDKTV ...it is in English💜💜PS he wrote and produced this song as well
i like that you both look like so genuine and kind ...i miss u suga so much
Fun fact: When Yoongi heard he would be doing a sword dance he literally went out and bought a real sword from a master sword smith.

You have to turn on subtitle (captions) they are official translations.
At minute 3:08 : jin and jungkook appear fighting in the vídeo
He fell off a razor scooter that the government didn't even know if it was illegal. No normal person would punish him more then the fine he just got. Like didn't even effect his license.
Daechwita is a type of military music that they play when the king arrives. Scootergate was the most overblown scandal of celebrity scandals ever. solo songs to check out. Jimin Who, Jungkook Standing next to you, V Slow Dancing, Jin -The astronaut, J hope - Arson. BTS OT7 songs, On Kinetic Manifesto film, Black Swan, Fake Love, Boy with love
Just found you and subscribed
You’ve already received a lot (a lot lol)
Of info
For my
Part I wanted to suggest an intro to the rap line of
RM,Suga and j-hope

love the reaction!! look deeper into agust d and bts. i suggest agust d polar night lyrics zaty farhani channel. after that songs lyrics everything i say below will make a little more sense instead of looking like a conspiracy. just fyi all bts members write their own lyrics do all genres and are real in their music. the topics they speak on are why the suga situation is so angering because we know why it was blown out of proportion no one truly cares about a kickboard or who rode it or if they were drinking. its all performative and youll understand why after reacting to that song and reading what i said below :)
sadly a lot of what media say is BS lies and rumors and we in the west see it as 'normal' we know media may lie etc and a lot of things in other places are not big deals to us. in korea tho the media has been a tool to fight against corruption i mean thats everywhere but especially in korea during old history and newer history moments media has helped expose the truth so in korea a lot believe it and dont look deeper which is dangerous as if/when the media lies the lies are believed and that happens here too but in different ways due to cultural differences.
for example the dark side of kpop stuff is spread here in the states because we cant all fact check if we dont know where to look especially if we dont know the language its easier to believe lies the media says about other countries from political all the way to entertainment "news".
in korea its the same for outside korea they believe whatever their media says but also inside korea theyll believe more often what is said while we have more of a research first before believing for our own news. its more situational here that some things we'll just take at face value others we'll dig deeper if it sounds off.
all that being said most media about bts when its in the negative sense is usually wrong/misinformation/lies/exaggeration etc not that bts cant be wrong they can but the way media frames it is just not truthful.
so in korea theres scandal culture and basically that means celebrities in korea get cancelled and its REAL not just omg cancel culture is fake like it is here. but in korea and asian countries its very real you lose everything especially if it turns out to be fact. but even when its not proven as fact or if its proven false some have still lose their careers some even took their own lives and thats the REAL reason for the celebrities who unalived you may have seen news over the years of kpop stars or korean celebrities unaliving themselves and media frames it as the industry and its dark theyre mistreated this kpop is bad blah blah. when in reality the false news and lies and hate they got in korea from media and the public are what caused many of them to choose that as well as their labels not supporting them/having their backs. its never been "the industry, kpop dark side" etc its always been "the korean media and western media who dont fact check and just copy paste what was said in korean media, the public not looking deeper and western/global public believing what was spoon fed to them and labels/entertainment agency's being scared of losing public support so dont help the celebrities even if innocent"
the reason suga's case is so big and so twisted is due to it being one of the only times in 11 years they caught a bts member doing something wrong even if very minor mistake. and thats due to bts gaining success WITHOUT any media or industry support. that seems impossible due to what you may think about kpop because of media influence. but bts got big globally first before korea. bts started at bighit their label that was almost bankrupt they had no money or connections to perform on tv in korea often, they were cut from performances if bigger or more resourced groups needed the spot even brand new groups from larger labels would be able to replace bts due to no "friendship" with that network. they wouldnt be interviewed or invited to game shows or talk shows in korea and if they were the hosts would force them to do humiliating things or ask them negative questions and gaslight them into looking bad so the media can then write articles and the public can see the lies and hate on bts. most positive news of bts was hidden as the big labels had money, investments, stocks, friendships etc with journalists, media networks, news sites and even the google of korea so all of that was able to hide, blacklist and censor bts from the korean public.
only word of mouth is what got bts to have fans in korea. and it was a good amount but nothing compared to what they have now. when bts got a billboard award in 2017 is when korea could no longer not report on them & especially couldnt negatively report on them so what theyd do is report more often but add other groups or other labels or do petty and shady remarks to show the public how big they are the least amount of times they framed it as a casual thing equal to the big groups in korea so the public doesnt see it as remarkable etc. this then let the western media outlets in english speaking countries push the kpop narrative instead of bts only.
so people thought kpop is big when it was only bts for a while. now more groups are bigger than they used to be but bts is still the biggest even when on hiatus.
all of this leads to my point of media lying so much about bts that anything media says is believed because if theyre not a fan in korea the korean public is still unaware of how ground breaking bts is. so last year idk if you heard about the movie parasite but they won a oscar. so the actors and director were seen same level as bts popularity which they deserve but after this one of the main actors was blackmailed his only confirmed mistake is cheating on his wife especially while having kids. but its not illegal he didnt cheat with a minor or something so while its morally not right theres no reason the public or law should get involved with that situation as its personal. (i know youre thinking in the states relationships are always talked about on news & as gossip especially cheating and divorces etc but in korea its not seen as being nosy or tea or something to laugh about its career ending in korea as reputation is very much a way to controll the celebrities thats not a kpop thing its a korean celebrity thing occurs from gamers, to youtubers, to actors, to athletes, to artists all have that same if you do something the public dont like even if not against the law your career is done over 90% of the time not the cancel culture we see in the west where some may unfollow you but some dont and you dont really lose everything it depends on the crime also while in korea it doesnt have to be a crime at all)
He even has more than one song with Juice Wrld. BTS are true hip hop artists.
It’s haters. They blew it WAYYYYYYY out of proportion in hopes of doing damage to BTS. The hate is real y’all.
If no one has recommended it, check out the explanation video. There are many historical references that we, as westerners don't know.
*****There are 3 RAPPERS & 4 voCALISTS IN bts. yOU'D LIKE hIS "hAEGEUM"
React to Agustd trilogy which includes
1 daechwita
2 haegeum
3 amygdala
All 3 videos are related
BTS and Kpop concerts in general have no openings acts. They don't need them because they usually performed 2 or more hours without them. I've been to a lot of kpop concerts in the US and they don't have openings artists.
We are learning of this now. Man, we'd love to catch them in a concert, but we also heard it was like Hunger Games in there.
Please do turn on subtitles so you can understand the lyricism behind Suga
There is also a channel: DKDKTV who explains the history/ in most BTS videos
Suga made this for ARMY and put it on Spotify as a gift for them.
Daechwita is historically military music that announced the Emperor and the ARMY.
You should also check out Amygdala. It's my favorite song by Suga.
Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤
Ok, guys, if you need to understand this you should probably watch DKDKTV.
Like others have said this is the first part of a trilogy would love to see you react to the others if not j hope more please
You do know this is the first of his trilogy
He is a fire rapper and singer! Use subtitles next time. Helps!😊
BTS songs include some English parts as well, out of the 7 bts members only 1 can speak fluent English others are still learning. They also have some full English songs too like ‘Butter’ ‘dynamite’ ‘seven’ ‘3d’ and more
They all speak 3, Korean , English and Japanese. This is the 1st of a trilogy.
They are learning English.....only RM is fluent in English and in a live 3 of them said that they need to brush up on their Japanese . Because they couldn't read the comments written in Japanese from Japanese army
Min Yoon Gi , SUGA , Agust D es un genio , es el 👑
You guys forgot to put on the CC.
Suga speaks Korean, Japanese and English. He’s a songwriter, producer and rapper who’s also part is BTS
They really are multilingual. We salute!
@@PoeticEnterprisesjust a correction, suga is not fluent in English, he understands it way better than he can speak it.
RM is the one who is fluent in all 3 languages
V (one of the vocalists) is fluent in Japanese too
Jin (one of the vocalists) speaks mandarin pretty well, better than the rest
😂actually after a movie director saw this they asked him to become an actor and he said no bc he thinks he doesnt fit
Suga paid a million dollars for this production so he could do it the way he wanted and then put it out for free for ARMY.
Multumesc, iubesc BTS. ❤💜
Thank you for checking BTS out. I would love it if you checked out j-hope's 'Arson' next. That way you can complete the rap line and move on to the vocal line, if you want💜
P.S.: Real ARMY stands by SUGA and BTS. We want all seven of them together; korean media and antis spread only misinformation and lies in order to manipulate the general public's opinion.
