I completely understand pulling when your away. We do the same and also take most of the equipment off and home fir a dry out if you will. The boat looks great and I like how you addressed the things that could make your crossing not fun. Great plan and as always learned a few things. Good luck and so excited for you.
@@HollyandRay Come April, I'll be in the market for a Lagoon with a flybridge and folding props are one of my wanted upgrades from the charter boat I'll probably be purchasing. Which brand did you guys choose?
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice 😊 👍🏻 Watching you guys prepare for the Pacific crossing its going to be fun........and a great learning experience‼️ Happy you two have decided to move on from the Caribbean,at least for a while, and explore the planet. As you know, there are many sailing channels giving great info of just such and adventure and the preparation. You will be fine. I believe in you 💪🏻🙌🏻 See you next time. ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🌞 ✨
My boat had the same single line system you guys just installed. We changed to a line at the mast and the back line. It is great to not have to leave the cockpit to change reefs. Also can be done single handed much easier. We are crossing the canal on March 3rd and then off to Galapagos. We are then heading to MX for hurricane season. Crossing the pacific in ‘25. Safe passages.
@1:11 Those snaps wear out too fast! Have you guys considered other options like velcro? I'm probably going to get an older boat with well worn cushions so any ideas are appreciated!
We haven’t tried or heard anything about Velcro, but we’ve lost every snap on the seat across the stern of the cockpit (below the dinghy davits), so we’ll see what we replace those with…
Hello Holly. I just want to tell you that this is the first time I've seen you with your hair down, and that you look very pretty. Use it more like this. Surely Ray agrees with me.
Hi, thank you! It’s impractical to have it down often on the boat with all the wind, but I chopped a bunch of it off last week so it’s a bit more manageable now. 😂
Thanks for sharing all the prep and planning for the crossing!! Such an exciting time!! Cheers
Happy to share the excitement!! ☺️

Hi Gang! Thanks for the new episode! Those props look propper! Wooo!
Aren’t they pretty all coated in propspeed? Tried a different brand last time we were out of the water, but nothing beats it. 😍

Can’t wait to see another channel cross the pacific and reach beautiful Polynesia.

We’re looking forward to testing out the new system… Maybe we’ll cross paths in Panama! Fair winds. ⛵️
loving your videos - great info to help us in the catamaran search - especially for taller people like me. keep up the good work!
Thank you, from one tall sailor to another! 😌
Hey guys where did you got that nice Dinghy cover from? cheers
We had them made for us in St. Lucia years ago, and have patched them as needed ever since!
thank you veru much miss}
@11:26 Won't the screws or rivets still complete a circuit?
They’re monel rivets coated with Tef-gel, but they will still need to be replaced every ~5yrs or so.

Holly, It’s not just you. I shed on our boat nearly as much as the dog. Haha.
@kathytegreene1562 Haha! Thank God I’m not alone. 😂
my wife sheds a lot of hair too. Last time I swept the bathroom floor I got enough hair off the floor to make a new wife.
Haha! Maybe we could start a wig business…
